A oil filter on a Model "A" in impracticable, with out pressure not much flows threw the filter. A round rare earth magnet in the drain plug will do a lot better. The oil pan has two levels. The top level oils the connecting rods and the slug collects in the bottom of the oil pan. The modern day oils will work fine for 3000 miles before changing. Remember, we don't drive them every day
I don’t think it would restrict any because of pressure and volume of oil pump, the reason model A doesn’t have much oil pressure is because there’s no restriction in the system , it’s not because of the pump, it is capable
thank you for the videos, when you change the filter do you cut or put holes in the rubber anti drain valve that's in the filter. or is there enough oil pressure to overcome the valve.
I DON'Y DO ANYTHING TO THE FILTER ,THE OIL PRESSURE IS ENOUGH TO OVERCOME,I HAVE USED SEVERAL DIFFERENT BRANDS OIL FILTERS OVER THE LAST TWENTY YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS
Thanks for explaining how you fit the gasket to the block.
You’re welcome
You haven’t watched my other video on oil filters
I always wondered how that works, thank you!

Nice, but boring watching you put bolts into the valve cover. Could have eliminated 1/2 of the video so that it only contains your commentary.
If I hadn't put bolts in ,it would not have been a install. LOL

Thank you!
I've always wondered how much resistance either filter style adds to the oil flow. Do you run them on your cars?

Yes I have this same brand on all my A’s
Thank you Randall. Where does a person purchase that valve cover with the special made hole for the oil filter?
Any of the model a venders have them, I got this one from Brattons
