Agreed, and to go a little further, to me, she's the female Chester Bennington because of her ability to switch styles faster than it takes to blink. She obviously has amazing vocal skills, is trained, is prepared and knows the risks behind such a performance, I wouldn't recommend anyone without proper training to try and replicate what she can do, it can be very dangerous.
Not sure if its violence. For me violence would be attack towards something or someone, threatening someones life or safety. Not sure what the lyrics mean but it could be relief of pain or just expressing of suffering itself..
Mme. Hyraelle Not true, the way she flawlessly changes from classical, mixed and screaming vocals is no easy feat. If you don’t know how to sing properly you can easily hurt yourself trying to do what she’s doing in this song.
@@thomascatty379 No exaggeration, the best ever. I`ve been to Krisiun,Nile,Morbid Angel, but this has some special feeling to it. Most of the people in the crowd don`t get the sensuality, cause they are to high or whatever...

+FightClubProjectM That is precisely how I feel! And that goes for so much of his music that I need to moderate the dosage of listening to avoid getting a complete wreck! 5 minutes of this and I'm already emotionally unstable, so I better switch over to something from the pop music hit lists to rebuild my levels of bitterness and hostility back to normal...
These guys are insane live. I was lucky enough in my last band to play a couple of shows with them and the musicianship is just out of this world. They're a lovely bunch of people too!
I agree. I've seen them perform live last saturday for the first time of my life. It was postponed 2,5 years due to covid. But it was sooo worth the wait!! Best concert i've everrr been to
@@toprak3479 I've see them 3 times now, each time with a different singer, and I actually enjoy of their takes. They're all different but beautiful in their own way.
@lygophile I don't exactly know why they call it like that. Maybe because the timbre of the male voice changes much more in falsetto than the female voice. Either way, what she's doing is not falsetto. Operatic singing is different from an airy, breathy, technique. You can hear that it's not a breathy, mouth-y noise. It's more head voice. A bit hard to explain but yeah.
2:18 That girl on the left, silently and calmly admiring while the rest of the crowd is headbanging and going crazy. Just has something of a moment of silence amidst the chaos. I love those little things, beautiful image imo.

Listening this for the first time I am extremely happy but also extremely sad wondering where has this been all my life. I feel as something that was missing is finally here and I feel complete.
Music was almost always the most central and important thing in my quiet, personal World. In comes Igorrr - after 48 years of sonic exploration - and teaches me - _I know nothing_
Yes but he's just starting the right track at the right time... And there's nothing wrong about it, it's not like if he could recreate such dense music in real time. Imho the live performance here is from the singer, Igorr just bring his genius composition.
+scylk Yes indeed, but launching tracks can be tricky too, he has to respect his composition and follow what the singer is meant to do either, all by turning knob filters or tapping sample pads. Not the same approach, I totally agree, but the same result about a live performance between two human beings.
I come back to this video every year or two and watch it multiple times. It's just so special. I am seeing Igorrr this September in New York, and while I am sure the new singer is great, I am sad that I will not get to see Laure Le Prunenec perform this live.
No joke - this is probably one of the best vocal performances I've ever seen. From Chicago, I hope you have a great time at their show despite the roster change!
This is still the song & preformance that has made me cry more then any other piece of music on earth possibly the strongest raw encapulation of such variety of emotion, of power of vulnerability of pain & of beauty ever written. it is Art. there is no other way to describe it.
This is absolutely beautiful. Igorrr + live vocals is really hard to beat in my opinion. Laure Le Prunenec is beyond amazing to me. I'm her biggest American fan.
this is my favorite verision of this song. Like dude i love how she just projects her voice in this, and SCREAMS with such in carnal fury. And at 2:55, instead of electrically phasing it out, she bursts her voice. its the coolest thing i ever heard in oopera
This song is something I always come back to. I follow everything Igorrr and Corpo -Mente. This has to be one of my favorite gothic performances of all time. That's why I always come back to this video.

The fact that she’s singing this in a made up language based on how she feels emotionally during the song is mind numbing It’s one thing to practice opera but to improvise it on this level is something else
I saw this band last sunday in Nancy (France) with different singers (woman+man) and same intensity... Arm's hairs standing on, tears coming and the same thing in my throat... Breathless. The new album is more ethnic than baroque and the female singer is perfect in both styles. If you like her (Laure Le Prunenec in the vidéo), try her solo albums (Rïcïnn) 😉
This is one of my favorite vocal performances of all-time. The ability she has to arbitrarily switch between beauty and violence is remarkable.

true
It appeals to a very niche audience because it mostly requires the listener to pay full attention and not just listening to the vocals or guitarwork
