Oregon Ducks Football Best in Big Ten and the Nation?

- Following seven lead changes and a huge mistake by Ohio State veteran quarterback Will Howard, Oregon football is on top of the college football world (not quite with #1 ranked Texas in the way) following Saturday night's win over the Buckeyes. But the win was as big as it gets for Dan Lanning and his Ducks program which now has a leg up on a spot in the Big Ten Championship game and probably a run at a national championship.
Meanwhile two Big Ten football games went to overtime including the Penn State Nittany Lions as James Franklin and his team got a big win on the road in overtime. Does Penn State fan consider this a big win?
Meanwhile the Illinois Fighting Illini won an overtime shootout vs the Purdue Boilermakers.
Iowa hit the 40 point mark in a win over Washington. And the Wisconsin Badgers seem to be clicking after a win over Rutgers.
Plus, let is not forget Friday night's tilt where Northwestern surprised a turnover prone Maryland Terps team.

I know as a Duck fan they're loading up for 2025 and beyond and it will be the same for the Buckeyes, I'm wondering if Oregon will take the place of Michigan.

I think beating Ohio State not playing perfect but showing a continuous trajectory, the question I have is what is the ceiling for Oregon? Cause they are not even close to it yet from what i xan see. Every week it seems something new gets stitched up. And we dont hear about it feom then on. Garbrial and the offensive line and recievers were insane. Was that their game to solve it? Cause if they stitch all these things together now. Man, what a team.
Trust me, that was definitely a home field advantage. Close to the Autzen Decibel record. Just ask the ohio state fans that traveled

And definetley a B1G officiating crew. Oregon took the blown early interception noncall, nonreview and did not have the best defensive lineman in the County and still won.
@@TimC0007for the second time we didn't have our best defensive lineman and the defense still showed out.
I was told we set a new record at 129 replacing the 127 record.

Legitimate question. Is Ohio State roster deep? If roles were reversed in Ohio State, was missing one of their starting wide receivers and defensive line, would they have played as well like Oregon did??
Oregon proved they can play on a physical level needed. Ohio State proved they are great as advertised...Love being in such a great a great conference and the many who visited from Ohio were awesome. GO DUCKS!
@Craig Shemon, you need to congratulate the officials on the terrible officiating they’re doing in the games with the new members and the underdog members… The games are definitely compromised and I don’t wanna hear the teams need to overcome the officiating because the timing of these calls are down right criminal in crucial moments…
I know the refs missed an interception and three defensive pass interference on Ohio state.
The missed interception was one of worst errors I’ve seen. No review? Unreal.

Ohio State is more talented than Oregon but sometimes that doesn’t mean you get the win. Y’all are fine. The voters respected the hell out of your loss only dropping you two spots. You’re still very much in the playoffs

It’s interesting seeing the sore loser mentality that buckeyes nation has. Just like before the game with all of them saying “blowout” “it’s not gonna be close”, to now. I’ve seen maybe 1 or two osu fans actually giving credit to Oregon for how they played out of the hundreds of salty comments. That mentality comes from Ryan day with making excuses and not giving props to the team that won. Glad we have Dan on our side wow

The replay officials start the review process in real time and decide if there is enough to conduct a replay. But why didn’t ou coach challenge the play?

No way it "appears" they are the best in the Big 10 (?) -- not with that insane crowd noise - and - all those drive killing 'false start' penalties !?!?! A 1 point win with at least a 3 pt. home field advantage - (?) - they won't have in INDY -- OR -- for the Natty ? I didn't see a 'convincing' win - going down to the last minute & OSU playing a C+ game ? Oregon played very well -- in that environment -- which they won't have again ? 🤔

Oregon left at closec to 10 points off the board with poor decisions. Typical OSU fan, only excuse for losing is cheating, or bad play, home field. Didn't the Ducks beat Ohio St in Columbus a few years ago, and our team wasn't nearly as good then
You’re not dumb. You’re just plain stupid. The referees helped Ohio State for that game to be close. Played without their best defensive players and one of their best receivers got tossed in the first half. Referees keeps killing Oregon’s momentum by making bad calls or not calling they’re supposed to. Ohio State knew who they’re up against, that’s why they need to play like a championship caliber team. Guess who told that team about AUTZEN STADIUM? I’m not telling you since you’re smart. Figure out yourself. By the way, just to let you know, us Oregon fans want to see a rematch. Quit whining.
Facts, no one can tell me that the game wouldnt have a different outcome if there wasn't a lucky squib kick, the fluke strip from judkins, a clean game without all the penalties, a neutral site, will Howard's fumbled snap, and better clock management in the 4th, and that soft pi with Jeremiah.
Oregon can have that interception. Ohio played with a knife in their foot. Not a clean game for Ohio
