    Recipes included:
    Cheeseburger Dip:
    4 slices of bacon
    8 oz ground beef
    4 oz cream cheese
    4 oz Velveeta cheese sauce
    1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp dried minced onion
    3-4 tbsp of diced pickles
    3-4 tbsp of diced jalapenos (alternative Rotel)
    3-4 tbsp of diced tomatoes (alternative Rotel)
    3-4 tbsp of ketchup
    1-2 tbsp mustard
    Crisp bacon in a skillet, brown ground beef. Drain beef and return to skillet along with Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, cream cheese and Velveeta. Let this melt over medium low heat and add a splash of water or milk to thin it out as needed. Add pickles, jalapenos, tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard and mix to combine. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
    Mexican Street Corn Dip (Elote Dip)
    1 can corn
    4 ounces cream cheese
    3 ounces pepper jack
    1 to 2 diced jalapenos
    1 tsp lime juice
    1/2 tsp tajin (or chili powder)
    1 tbsp parmesan
    Mix corn, cream cheese, pepper jack, jalapenos and lime juice in a pot. heat over medium heat until all of the cheese has melted. Pour into serving dish and top with parmesan cheese and tajin or chili powder. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
    Roasted Red Pepper Hummus (dairy free / vegan friendly)
    1 can chick peas (drained, liquid reserved)
    1/4 cup roasted red peppers (about half the jar)
    2 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tsp citrus garlic or tomato basil seasoning
    3 to 4 tbsp of chick pea liquid (aka aquafaba)
    Drain chick peas and remove as many skins as possible. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, adding more chick pea liquid as needed to obtain a creamy but thick consistency. Pour into a serving dish and sprinkle with a little more seasoning and some chopped red peppers if desired. Serve with pita or bagel chips for dipping.
    Peanut butter cup dip
    10 oz hazelnut spread
    10 oz peanut butter
    8 oz cool whip (thawed)
    Reeses (chopped) for topping optional
    Mix hazelnut spread and peanut butter in a bowl. Gently fold in cool whip. Pour into a serving dish and top with chopped peanut butter cups. Serve with pretzels or graham crackers for dipping

    Instead of a charcuterie board, I can see a spread of all four dips with various dippers such as tortilla chips, potato chips, pretzel rods, bagel chips and graham crackers. Another great video, Rebecca. Loved every minute of it!

    I'm commenting before you're finished so you may address it already, but minced onions can be rehydrated and will taste EXACTLY like McDonald's onions. I do this every time I replicate a Big Mac wrap, and I think it's the "maker" of my dupe.

      Yum can I please come snack at your house big macs are a guilty pleasure I love the flavor ....remember Bobs Big Boy? Well I do but I'm older than the Dinosaurs lol but Bobs Big Boy used to make thee most delicious original hamburger that McDonalds copied...and Bobs Big Boy used to make a real vanilla coke so incredibly good no joke they never skimped or lowered their quality of ingredients even their hot fudge sundaes and hot fudge cake that was a thick slice of plain devil's food fresh baked cake cut in a layer in between the cake layers the top and bottom being cake the middle was their cream sugar and vanilla bean ice cream this was topped with cloud of fresh whipped cream drizzled with cherry juice and two long stem cherries they never gave you a mushy or ugly cherry only picture perfect cherries and all over their famous home made hot fudge sauce and and a silver 3 ounce deep ramikan of piping hot fudge sauce in case you wanted more ....this was so good people would stare at the plate as the waitress carried it to your table...oh their vanilla strawberry or chocolate malts also were thick freshly made only wholesome ingredients zero chemicals.

      gritskennedy...Bob's big boy still exists. I haven't been to the one where I live, in 25 years, since I got food poisoning and was on an 8-hour drive, with 4 small children, to visit my parents, while my husband was working overseas! I had to stop for the night at a hotel, and was throwing up all night! Thankfully, my kids just got kids meals and didn't get food poisoning!
      I do remember their big boy burger. Their sauce tastes much more like tarter sauce than the big mac sauce.

    These look amazing! For the street corn dip, I would suggest charring the corn in the pan before adding the rest of the ingredients. That's what I do when I make corn salsa with either canned or frozen corn It makes a world of difference in the flavor. Just make sure the corn is dried off really well or it will pop all over the kitchen...+

      This or sometimes there's canned corn that's roasted! I'm not sure if all dollar trees carry it, but I've seen some cans floating around before. I've also seen a santa fe mix with onions/black beans and roasted corn in the frozen aisle that would be good too!

    Another flavor true Mexican street corn has is Mayonnaise. And you could get a little char, if you toast your corn in the pan first.

    For the cheeseburger dip, you could easily turn it into a meal by adding some cooked elbow macaroni and make a DIY hamburger helper. 🙂

      I made my own version of Turkey Helper last night. Asian inspired made homemade stir fry sauce. It was really good and easy. Your idea is even better.

    I'm making a fiesta dip, it's 1 cup sour cream, a couple tablespoons of mayo, 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese, few dashes hot sauce, and equivalent of one packet ranch seasoning
    Blend all ingredients in a bowl and serve with chips of choice

    I make a street corn dip very similar to this. I pan sear the corn in a skillet with a little butter before adding the rest of the ingredients. It really adds the "roasted" corn flavor you said you were missing. Love the dips! I can't wait to try the cheeseburger recipe!

      Chipotle powder also works really well. I can usually find it for much cheaper than smoked paprika, but that may differ depending on where you're located.

    That hazelnut dip looked thick enough, that if you put it into a graham cracker or Oreo pie shell, you'd have a great pie! Maybe whip some cream cheese before adding in the other ingredients, to cut the sweetness. It would, of course, be a refrigerator pie. Save some cool whip to put on top, before crumbling some Reese's cups, if desired! It would be a winner at any carry in dinner!!! Double the ingredients and put in a 9×13 pan, to serve a crowd!

    For nut butters - sore upside down overnight (or more) then flip it back, open, and mix. The oil seeps through while it’s upside down and makes it much easier! These dips look bomb, and I can’t wait to try them!

    If you store your natural peanut butter (or hazelnut spread) upside down, it should prevent separation. Love your videos, I’ve made a bunch of your recipes!

    The family and I have fallen on hard times. Our best chance for food with some variety is the dollar tree with some singular veggies thrown in through donation,or on sales/roadside stands. My Vet neighbors are also very nice giving us the rest of their VA boxes or stuff they don't want.
    So this channel is one I turn to to keep us from starving to death this winter. I try and make stuff you couldn't tell was made with generic,no name brand food*mostly no difference in most items) I notice that the meals are more satisfying when there is a fresh element thrown in. Thanks for giving me some really great ideas these past few months, and my family thanks you too.
    One thing I found once that I will never rebuy. It was supposed to be a block of cream cheese but it was made out of like,coconut solid oil, was very strange and I haven't seen it since.😂 I may have read the package wrong somehow(unlikely)😂😊
    Anyhoo. Thanks for spreading creativity. That's what art is all about. Could you imagine if they had fresh veg and butter at the Dollar Tree?
    Also if you eat it don't sleep on the loaves of white bread.

    If you soak the chick peas in salted water, the skins will easily fall off. Or you can use baking soda but the chick peas may become a bit mushy.

    These look amazing! I think they would bought benefit from throwing in one of those aluminum pans and put in the oven for a bit! Maybe, put a little cheese on the cheeseburger one! Just my thoughts? 😊 The hummus can be made using sesame oil, instead of tahini! Made it before and it’s just as good!

    For roasted corn, I have taken a can of corn, spread the kernels on a baking and put it under the broiler until the kernels brown a little bit. It really works!

    Oh my gracious!!! I am a dip freak. YES!!!! All of these will be made. I made a 1 small pan baked dip 2 weeks ago that cost me $16. My Aldi find of a 5 x 6 baking dish. I promise I am loving the savings on these dips. Mostly if I can use a tortilla chip in it I will make it. I also enjoy warmed naan bread with humus. Yummy!

    If you have a cellphone or anything that's connected to the internet in or around your kitchen it can interfere with wireless microphones when the device receives data. Turning them on airplane mode could help remedy the mic issues. Awesome video as usual!

      The problem is that it happens whether my cell phone is around or not, and it happens temporarily and then fixes itself without any adjustments on my end, I’m at a loss, I can’t figure out why it happens because it’s seemingly random and always temporary

      Regarding microphone issues rewatch your video. Excessive hand movement.
      Inches from the Microphone always which causes interference. Practice keeping your hands-on the table while you talk. Great recipes so I know you were excited love you

    It was so nice to see how excited you were for the cheeseburger dip success! And it was fun to get to see Michael as a taste tester after hearing you mention him in your videos. Love all of these dip ideas, especially because I love doing snacky/finger foods/appetizer style foods for days like my birthday, xmas eve, new year's, etc. Thanks for all of these new ideas.     Hi Rebecca...I turned your cheeseburger dip into cheeseburger soup. I used your recipe plus a can of diced tomatoes (no rotel), beef broth and minus chopped pickles and peppers. I served dill pickles on the side.

    Someone got me one of those crockpots that has 3 smaller wells instead of one big one. It is FANTASTIC for making multiple dips like this, so you can keep them on low so the dip stays warm and the cream cheese doesn't firm up.

    I can see firing up my mini-slow cooker (1.5 qt. or so) for that cheeseburger dip. And the Street Corn one sounds amazing with the lime juice. Yum.

      I will do anything to avoid going to the store, moving to a rural area made that even more clear lol so I've gotten very good at using what I have and just doing my own thing but using recipes more as a "idea"

    Regarding the "Hummus", peanut or almond butter can definitely be a substitute for tahini. I think Dollar Tree used to sell a "nut butter" but I haven't seen it in a long time ✌️

    That cheeseburger did looks awesome, the smokiness in the corn dip can be fixed with a little liwuid smoke, and it's cream cheese too, (Hot Chocolate Dip) but 1 block w a tub of cool whip and a packet of swiss miss is the cutest Christmas party dip. Tiny marshmallows & cute sprinkles put it over the top!

    i love your videos!!! they're so helpful, not only to the lower income and/or rural communities, but also to those of us that have bad mental health and executive dysfunction issues that make it so hard to make nutritious meals because of too much work or too many ingredients!

    We make a black bean "hummus" also without the tahini. We use lime juice, garlic, green chilies and a drizzle of olive oil.

    I used to make this cheesecake dip, mix cream cheese & cool whip, powdered sugar, vanilla, whip it in mixer or blender, top with pie filling of choice. Dip graham crackers, pretzels, teddy grahams etc !

    I love hummus.I know you are talking dollar store stuff But i always buy dried chickpeas cook them myself and freeze them cooked in "can" sized portions as i prefer the taste/ texture to the canned and they are cheaper. I also never have Tahini so i use peanut butter instead different flavor but gives me the right texture? Love it on toast too!

      I've been obsessed with this hummus since I made it (on tuesday), I'm still working my way through it, I've been spreading it on wraps with cucumbers and tomatoes too.

    Aw, that was so sweet watching you and Michael! I could feel the mutual respect through the screen as you made sure he felt no pressure to be on camera - so sweet!     That hazelnut spread should not have separated quite so much, because it does contain an emulsifier (I think you read out sunflower lecithin?), but I'm glad the flavour was good. I'm paused at 31:47 and I suspect the mixture is going to be super-thick, as peanut butter sets Cool Whip pretty solidly, and would probably be best eaten with a spoon if it were chilled (if you froze it, it could be a pie filling). But I just want to share a tip: when adding cool whip or whipped cream to a denser mixture, add 1/3 to 1/2 of the whip to the denser mixture and stir that in first, as it will lighten the mixture and allow the remaining whip to be stirred or folded in more easily and in less time, with less streaking, and with less loss of air volume. The pairing with the salty pretzel sounds perfect, and their texture means they won't break off when dipping and scooping.

    A suggestion- try browning the corn for that dip in butter or oil. It adds so much flavor to the corn. We also do that for corn in salads, soups, and other dishes.

    I add a splash or more of the pickle juice. I make a cheeseburger Mac one pan that when I add the pasta in I replace some of the water with the juice and leave out some salt. I also don't like tomatoes that much and leave them out and others can use as a topper.
    I also will soak dried onion in some of the juice and put that in even if I used fresh onions.

    I have done a similar dip to the cheeseburger one, but in a crockpot and made sloppy joes. Kid favorite in my house.
    My daughter also makes hummus all the time. If you simmer the canned chick peas a bit, it makes the flavor warm and comforting. And you can do a teaspoon or 2 of peanut butter to replace tahini.
    Loved all the dip ideas.

    Your hubby is so cute! I've never heard of cheeseburger dip. I think I would love it!
    We always add water to the hummous when blending. The tahini actually makes it thicker. ☺ The bagel chips are a great idea. I think another great pairing would be to buy the thin large pizza crust, cut it and bake it slightly. It will be like pita bread! You did a great job having only DT items and Love your presentation!

    Rebecca and the Dollarrers (I made this word up and can't even pronounce it hehehe) In my fanatical pursuit of saving money I would probably have put hot water over the beef crumble, tasting til it was the flavor I wanted, and using that water to do a light beef stock for later. When i do make my stocks I have them unsalted so I could also put one of my heated stocks (beef chicken pork etc) over the beef crumble again tasting til it's the way I want it and putting aside my stock for later use.
    Julia Child talks about getting rid of the 'canned taste'. she recommends cooking any any canned food for 15 minutes or so and that usually does the trick. read the ingredients list if you're avoiding some chemical in particular.
    Dipping corn into corn is a Latin American sport hehehe. When I make corn bread I use yellow corn meal, a can of corn and it's liquid plus salt, leavening and butter.
    If you don't like sesame (I toast my own) you can substitute other nuts-seeds. Cashews, Peanuts, sunflower, pumpkin (pepitas), walnut, pecan etc any change you make will change the flavor so experiment to see what you like best. (oil is a logical sub for tahini...)
    My general rule of thumb for improving a canned dish that I find lacking, is to put an equal amount of fresh ingredients. for Example a friend had an insipid red sauce and a Fridge full of veg. So I roasted onion chili garlic tomatoes in the oven with a bit of salt and oil and blended it up with the jarred sauce and it was very good, (so they told me hehehe)
    Nut spreads are counter intuitive...water (the cool whip) thickens them up. Oil thins them out. (a Bit of bitter chocolate would help balance out the sweetness, or toasted ground nuts)

    When using frozen burgers I boil them before frying. To save dishes, you can add water to the pan and boil for 2-3 minutes. I then drain the water and fry my burgers. This way I am not rinsing off the flavour I have been developing on the burger. If you want the bacon flavour, you could cook the bacon once the burgers are boiled and then add the burger to the bacon fat.
    For you sweet dip, I think it would also go well with fruit like, strawberries, apple wedges or pineapple fingers.

    I appreciate all the effort you put into this content. I think my favorite recipe was the cheeseburger dip. It reminds me of a cheeseburger soup I like making. The only thing I would do differently would be to use the bacon grease and ground beef drippings to make a roux in place of the cream cheese. Then build the base of the dip from there.

    Our Dollar General carries marshmallow fluff and omg that would be an amazing addition to the dessert dip! I didn’t notice onions in the cheeseburger dip and sesame seeds would be a great topper! TY so much for the video and inspiration! ❤

    So i used to make hummus at work like 4 days a week for a year and the best way to get the skin off are to put the chickpeas in a strainer and run it under lukewarm watter while rubbing the chickpeas through your fingers, i recommend having another strainer at the bottom of the sink to catch the shells. Also, you should get an immersion blender, they are AMAZING for sauces and hummus!

    Great video! You should try adding the onion dip to a casserole recipe as a flavor enhancer and to add some creaminess. Another tip is to top a casserole with dabs of butter (or margarine) then sprinkle parmesan cheese on top and stick it under the broiler until the cheese browns up. It adds a nice flavor and texture. Keep experimenting! ❤

    One way you can help rinse the hamburger as you cook would be to boil the burger meat as your cooking it in the skillet, then drain the water and add the bacon grease to brown it up. Youd want to completely cover the burgers in boiling water to sleed up the process.

    So glad the dips were tasty. You have great ideas. TH-cam Junelikethemonth is a wonderful gal who tries odd things and Asian favorites. She had a sweet boyfriend who would rate her dishes. He was usually kind and careful about criticizing or criticism but honestly. Her viewers were protective of June and when he did anything wrong, they tried to cancel him.     Great job! People could buy the Dollar Tree dips and doctor them up.
    I wonder if you added a little bit of liquid smoke to the Mexican Street Corn dip if that would make it a bit more authentic tasting. My sister and I were talking about trying to make Mexican Street Corn side dish and even Mexican Street Corn Chowder the other day and we plan to drain our canned corn and "roast" it in an iron skillet.
    Mexican Street Corn and potato Chowder might be a yummy meal?
    I've lived in both California and Texas in the past, love Mexican Street Corn. I also love the sliced Mangos the vendors sell sprinkled with Tajin, that spice is the bomb for fruit. I put it on peaches, pineapple and watermelon. I have a recipe for a great fruit dip. It's vanilla custard or vanilla pudding based, uses a pkg of pudding mix made with half the milk called for and chilled in the fridge, add some unreconstituted frozen orange, lime or apple juice concentrate. Add 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Mix all that together then fold in a tub of cool whip. It's really good, perfect with fruit. In my family we call it Mildred's fruit dip because a neighbor I had decades ago gave me the recipe after I had it with fruit at her family BBQ. You can also dice up fruit, mix it with the dip and serve it in individual portions at a brunch.

    I have to say that as a hummus lover, making hummus at home has been so much more cost-effective than getting storebought. Not only can you control the ingredients, but even if you do opt for things like tahini and fresh lemon juice, you can get 3-4 times as much hummus for your dollar as you would with storebought. 😋

    Definitely going to try the cheeseburger dip and the Mexican corn dip. The first time I had Mexican corn it was at a Mexican festival and I wasn't sure what toppings to use so I put mayonnaise and powdered parmesan. It was awesome!!!
