Since Dollar Tree doesn’t sell eggs any more, you might like to know the liquid from a can of chickpeas can be used as an egg substitute for baking! It’s called aquafaba, and it’s very common to use in vegan cooking. 3 tablespoons equals one large egg. You can freeze it to use later, if you’re not baking at the same time you’re using the chickpeas.
That's a great tip! Ty! The amount of times I'm just about to start a bread recipe and realized it's an enriched dough and I need just one egg when I don't have any.. Too many to count 😬😅
My little family and I moved out into the county and had only electricity. My range was propane. ALL i had was my microwave to cook with for 3 months. I cooked almost everything in the microwave. I would cook my ground beef in it. Even though the meat didn't brown well it was well cooked. I would also make my noodles for spaghetti or mac n cheese. Take my ground beef spaghetti sauce and noodles and dinner was done. Make taco meat in the microwave and warm your taco shells in there also and you have taco night. The list goes on and on. Just use your imagination. We were a family of 5 and I knew when everyone came home they were hungry, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK. I love ALL your videos.
The dessert reminded of the 3-2-1 cake. Mix any cake mix with a box of angel food cake mix. Spoon 3 tablespoons of dry mix in a mug, stir in 2 tablespoons of water, microwave for 1 minute. I use this when dieting and like to use lemon cake with a few frozen berries mixed in
I love your cup "My kids have paws". I'm sorry you lost your dad, you being so young. I lost my dad too, at the age of 22. One thing I remember, other than him being a raging alcohol, is this. When he fried his eggs in a pan, instead of him flipping them over with a spatula, he would tilt the pan and use the spatula to splash the grease over the eggs to cook them.
Thank you so much for these! I can no longer stand long enough to use my oven or stove, so microwave meals are my only option now. So thanks again from a granny of 13!
You’re no heat meals have been a lifesaver for me lately! I have a microwave at work, but frankly, it’s just easier for me to bring food that I don’t need to worry about trying to reheat. I throw one of those chiller packs in with my container and then I don’t even have to put my lunch into the fridge. I avoid that whole grows feet feet and walking away on its own thing. ❤
You could always keep a piece of your browning paper from the fries and cut a piece out as big as your cup and put that on top of the biscuit. Might work might not but worth a try.
If you need a vegan egg substitute, save the liquid from the cans of chickpeas/garbanzo beans. The liquid is called aquafaba and it whips up like egg whites so a lot of people that have egg allergies or are vegan can use it in recipes that require eggs.
Insomnia sent me to YT and I was scrolling and thought "I think I know this person!". I worked with you at a mortgage company. Great channel and videos!
Love your videos. Found you recently as I work at a Dollar Tree and just scrolling videos on DT and their you were. OK, you may have already covered this but here goes. I live in a tiny home. I have a microwave, small crockpot, air fryer and a rice pot. Now help !!!! I love veggies and good food.. cheap good food but with my limited cooking utensils, how about a few nights or videos of living alone and using only these with DT or DG foods but some healthy veggies (frozen are awesome) ... thank you and have all my other co-workers watching you too.... thank you ...
Great ideas! I rent a room in my landlord's house and I only have a microwave and a hotplate to prepare my food. Your Spanish rice recipe looks like a good option for Cinco de Mayo!
You can actually do a lot with a hot plate & microwave you've just gotta be creative. I've been in a lot of different situations where I only had one or two small appliances. Once all I had was a toaster oven and I made a whole Thanksgiving meal for 5 people. I've even made a meal in a coffee maker.
I don't know if it would be worth doing a segment on creating a basic spice & herb collection. They can do so much for food flavor. It is also something that can be purchased a little at a time.
So sorry you lost your dad so young. But happy to know he left you with good memories to cherish. Great ideas for the microwave too as that is all I have access to currently.
That Taco sauce is the BOMB 💣 It sells out at every DT near me. I went to Texas to see my sister and bought some down there and shipped those bad boys home with my other crap that I didn’t want to take on the plane. I was a happy camper 😅
If you add parchment paper to your cake in a mug you can remove the cake from the mug. Just put enough so you can grab it. Top your mini cake with DT ice cream and DT chocolate sauce and serve in a pretty little bowl.
I’ve been looking for those fries for a while now in grocery stores but they took them out but now I know where they are. Thank you. Your videos give me some good ideas. Next time I go to the store I’m going to try your breakfast bombs. Can’t wait, I think they would be great for my grandkids
They’re so good! I love the microwave single serve fries. For the breakfast bombs I make an easier version too with crescent roll dough. I just made a pie crust since you can’t buy crescent dough at dollar tree
I love those tiny white lidded containers! The last time I went to Dollar Tree, I bought two of the ten packs. They're so handy for things like salad dressings and condiments. Great video! Love from WI! 🙂💕💯💯
Bojangles left the Memphis area a ;long time ago, but they seem to be making a comeback. we gave had one in Southaven for a few years now.... I hae yet to go. The fries and gravy are like a take on poutine...
You always knock these recipes out of the park very inspiring. Keep at it that poutine in the microwave looked great especially. The chickpea salad too. You are awesome keep killing it.
My last vacation I made burrito bowls in my hotel very much like you did here (I buy that Spanish rice all the time- it’s really good). I used chili instead of chicken. Filling and yummy.
I just made some poor man’s Alfredo. Yummy :) thanks for the great videos! The cost of feeding oneself and the family is going up and these videos are super helpful! :)
We have Bojangles everywhere here - and I agree their food is so good! I appreciate that you were so honest when things didn't turn out as delicious as you hoped. The mug brownie looked delicious and I've wondered how they are, so glad to hear your review of it. 😊
I absolutely love your videos! I rarely purchase food at Dillar Tree, but your recipes are great for any cook in any situation. Thank you for sharing your time and your fun personality!🧡
Hello thanks for sharing,i love the taco & pizza sauce, the lemon pepper, garlic & herb plus the Italian. Everything in that brand has amazing flavor to your food.
I enjoy all your videos and I shop at $ tree for many items. I have shopped there since our first store opened. Thank you for sharing your how to prepare many meals and for your honest opinion, that means so much.
Those Jimmy Dean sausages are excellent, my mom worked as a manager in a grocery store and met Jimmy and had gpher picture taken with him, he was promoting his new sausage back in the early 1970's, he was originally a singer.
I saw you mention that you’ve had weight loss surgery. would you ever consider doing a video on WLS-friendly Dollar Tree meals? I’m getting the operation soon and I’m worried about food costs, considering how much protein I’ll be eating. thanks for all your hard work. ❤
I absolutely love your videos! They are fun and easy to watch, so informative and creative. I keep these recipies in mind for my own family and a cheap meals page I follow on facebook where I haven't hesitated to share some of your videos and your page. You are a wonderful person and i love what you do!
No cook meals are great in the summer! My favorite is basically a tuna salad. Here's the "recipe" which is really just a rough guideline: A can of peas and carrots (or two if you only have the tiny ones, mixed veggies work in a pinch but not my favorite, so do green beans if you buy the thin sliced ones), 2-4 cans of chunk lite tuna (depends on how many are eating or if you're meal prepping) or one of the solid white albacore and 1-3 chunk lite (you could also do salmon alone or mixed with the tuna which is also a favorite for me, you can also use canned chicken or even chick peas but then it's not tuna salad anymore, lol) a bit of lemon pepper seasoning, if you have fresh garlic and a garlic press, throw that in there (to taste) otherwise, garlic powder works fine too. Add fresh onions, especially red onions or spring onions/scallions but dried or powdered works too if you don't have any. (The fresh onions are the only part that takes time unless you have pre-chopped and portioned, lemon juice coated ones like I do.) Dash of lemon juice to taste but remember the lemon pepper seasoning so be sparing with the juice. Mix in some cold mayo let it rest in the fridge for a few minutes and you're ready to serve! Serve with crackers (I personally love the thick Triscuit brand crackers) or tortilla chips and treat it as a dip. Also great mixed with cold pasta. If meal prepping I'd mix no more than you can eat in 4 days unless you don't mix in the mayo until you're going to eat it. You can toss this together in minutes and it keeps in the fridge just fine for about 3-4 days. About 4 portions in this recipe but I love this stuff so it's usually gone in 2 sittings with me even though you're not supposed to eat more than two portions of tuna a week, lol. You can even embellish it with more stuff (for example dill, or some you could add some cabbage or you could use the dry slaw mix that comes in bags if you didn't want to use the peas and carrots) but that's the stuff I generally always have around and I've got the recipe perfected for my taste buds. 😂👍
Recently I have used the dollar tree muffin mix and did a microwave mug muffin! I've tried it with water and milk and it's nice sweet treat. Few scoops of mix and just add your liquid of choice till right consistency. Warm berry flavor with ice cream is a great dessert. And you don't have to heat up the whole house using the oven
For the chickpea salad I bet it would be good to puree them first with olive oil and make it a little like hummus. I'm not sure how I feel about cold chickpeas 😅. Or maybe swap them for cannelini beans. Also, a quick little side dish I like to throw together sometimes when I'm tired and just not feelin it, is a can of chickpeas and a can of those Italian seasoned tomatoes. Instead of draining the tomatoes I put it all in a pot on high heat and reduce the liquid, so it has maximum flavor without being runny.

Ok best breakfast EVER!!! And I love chickpea salads. I have several cans of chicken so I think I’m going to make the chick pea salad for my lunch prep next week!!
💖 your videos, they are so inspiring ~ your are a true 💝! Love them for quick lunch. Definitely doctoring them. My favorite was a bbq pork one, but haven’t seen one there for about a year. It was my McRib substitution so if you can find it get it. Extra bbq sauce & pickles makes it a McRib. Love your show. Here in Bouse,Az there’s a small market & a dollar general. So instead of going 26mi. To Walmart & fast food that’s where I go

One each for meat, poultry, fish. Of course it was suggested that you buy microwave safe cooking equipment. Haven’t done a meal in one for years.
