Beautiful color, thanks for sharing
Gonna hafta be that beautiful blue color for me!
Good choice!
and they are almost out of that color today ... wonder why? LOL@@MarlyBird
💚💚💚 This is amazing! I think you’ve convinced this knitter to expand her crochet skills.
I hope so!
I love you !! So exited to be with everyone !!
Yay!
This cardigan is lovely - definitely going on my to do list! Do you have a pattern for the scarf you are wearing? It's gorgeous too.
Not yet!
Teşekkür ederim Marly, hiç bir zaman bunu düzgün yapamamıştım. Sayende öğrendim. 🎉❤
You’re welcome
I watched this from begining to end and wow amazing cardigan. thank you for sharing. I would probably use a tweed for this and really any color would go great for this stitch pattern. Amazing as always and easy to follow instructions.
Thank you.
Pretty Cardigan.....love the colour!!
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous! I’m usually intimidated by such big projects, but if Marly says I can do it, I can do it! 😊
You could do this.
This is how I feel, too! 🙂
Marly, I love that cowl!
Thank you. I do too.
Which pattern is the cowl? Gorgeous ❤
The movement of your hands is very soothing.
Thank you :)
So excited for this pattern! I'm using some yarn from my stash for the first one, so I can work out the pattern and see if I may want to make any adjustments to tweak the sizing, since I'm kind of between sizes. I bought this when it was being discontinued, and have been holding it until I found something I wanted to use it on. I suspect I'll be making quite a few of these, both for myself and as gifts. Living in the South, it's tough to find sweaters/cardigans that are really wearable down here, but I think this lace pattern is going to be perfect for the cooler mornings & evenings! I wonder if I can get this done in time to wear to brunch this weekend? Wish me luck!!
great!
Thank you for the tutorial!
My pleasure!
That is gorgeous!!!
Thank you
A absolutely beautiful pattern 😍 thank you 🧶
You’re welcome 😊
This is great!
thank you.
Its beautiful
thank you.
Wonderful!
Many thanks!
wonderful tutorial. The green neck scarf you are wearing in this video.... would you share the pattern name?
It hasn't been released yet. We are hoping to release it next month.
What pattern is your cowl that you are wearing?
Love the cardigan! But I just got done making a sweater, and need something fast and easy. lol So I was wondering if you had the pattern for the cowl you're wearing. I looked on your site, but didn't see it. Thanks!
It is coming out in a couple weeks.
@@MarlyBird Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it. It looks beautiful!
The yarn looks thin for an Aran or worsted. Great color, though. Fabulous sweater!
Oh thank you!
Love it, where you get your hook
shrsl.com/4gl8h
289.00 dollars forn10 hooks.
Do we have to do a FSC? It's very confusing to me. I'd rather just chain and then do single crochets.
It makes the beginning like the end so the structure is important.
Which crochet hook is that ❤

Seems it would be easier to pickup those stitches and knit a ribbing rather than crochet the ribbing
Either will work
Yarn is beautiful but expensive $12.49 a ball. It’s also hand wash, lay flat to dry and is a no for me. I will use another 4 weight yarn.
The cobalt is on sale right now
If you’re someone who finds this absolutely gorgeous and wanted to buy it, you would spend way more than the yarn you’re purchasing… sometimes the type of yarn, quality of yarn and weight of yarn change everything when it comes to something you’re going to wear.
You can use whatever yarn you want. She is showing what she used. Not a big deal
As soon as I see the index finger sticking up, I switched off. Avoid these "teachers" they are why so many beginners give up.
What? I do not understand what you are talking about with your comment. But thanks ?
Everyone learns differently & there is no crochet police.
Stitch how you like but leave the negative comments off Marly’s videos. She’s responsible for THOUSANDS of people learning crochet & loving it. Tips & tricks are useful for many of us.
🚫Debbie Downers need to go elsewhere🚫.
You can have your fingers as you wish.Really.....
You're so right always one having a bad day😂@@Piglady1983
Marly, it's a very beautiful cardigan!!🤗😍
I think so too!
3:20-ish : I'm an inpatient learner, dern 'er! I say, skip all of that instructions, patterns 'n' graphs talk ... I'm all monkey see -> monkey do! Get the trick system sticksy in your hand(s) and show me, already, I'm not one for chit chat. It seems I'm also not one for keeping my mouth shut today, lol, usually I just skip forward to the good stuff, making no comment. But I am like a grumpy old lady who wants to pick up the eggs before the hens start cluckin' over 'em.
You see I'm a loner, and not given to chit chat. TI don't even tolerate talk radio well - but that could be because Complex PTSD is raising its ugly head today and I need something to make me go to a happy place...none of my knit, WIPS 'n' chains are doing it for me today. I wanna do new! I'm dancin' and antsin', here, in "ex-cite--taayy-shuuun" like the Beach Boys back when they could still get Good Vibrations. Me slapping LOL. I do hope my humor is coming through I am trying to be in a better mood. I woke up with a headache because I couldn't breathe well. Too much CO2 buildup in my blood stream from CHF, NAFLD. If you elevate heavy edema legs with 26-in calves, that fluid has to go somewhere, and if not to your bladder then the heart and lungs do congest you or infiltrate you and give you pneumonia - as their sleep apnea is not enough already.
BTW thank you, for all the wonderful stuff you have taught me ...when I finally skip to the good stuff. I'm a very watchful and alert individual, so just like monkey sees, so a monkey will do, or, figure out by doing. Error and failure are great teachers. They teach us to pay better attention the first time, next time. I subscribe & watch lots and lots of foreign language vids of Russians (and former USSR countries' ladies with Russian language offshoots and dialects), Germans, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, South American, Mexican, French, Italian, Portuguese and many other Asian languages I cannot identify. There is no English spoken nor are there English subtitles North English options or good translations in closed captioning. I just turned down the volume and watch what they do, and do it. Even if the videos I watch are wordless, the women (or men) teaching slow down and point out certain things, doing hand motions to tell you what is about to happen, and there is one lady who will show you the wrong thing to do - which is where people may actually go wrong if they're not paying close enough attention, because maybe that's what you do normally right after that Stitch or at the end of a row or whatever - then she will waggle her finger, wordlessly telling you "no no no, that's not the way", and then proceeded to show you the right and different thing but that makes this piece of wearable or decorative household fiber art something that stands out.
I know many many people who don't need words and would prefer to not have them because of Dyslexia or some inner Turmoil of the Mind, such as complex PTSD, "regular" PTSD, autism Asperger's which now goes by another name but I don't remember, because I've got brain strain from emotional pain too. This is why talk it's not good for some people. Sometimes just doing is much better then talking then talking, because escapism is a mechanism of coping that works wonders whiling away hours & hours of utter Bliss, as opposed to piss 'n' vinegar stress from the inability not to obsess over all the things that have gone wrong or have happened to you because you have a better-than-an-elephant memory because the trauma is imprinted in your being.
Whew, I think I'm done now - not that I meant to write anything this long, but I didn't stop because, at some point, I did remember the Bible does say that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks forth...
I guess all that just needed to come out. I did say I was a loner, didn't I? ComplexPTSD tends to make someone turn to themselves or inward or to shut down... like an implosion. Frequently after an explosion because even minor stresses in a day can be too much. This is why any kind of Yarning brings such peace and pleasure, or should I say pleasantness? Whatever. You get me, right?
Well, everybody does learn differently and I strive to provide all the information for all levels of crochet. The fast forward button is very useful for you it seems. Good luck with everything.
For someone who doesn’t like “chit chat” you certainly have a lot to say! You don’t sound like a person who has “shut down”
