The foundation chain is 205 (multiple of 8 + 5 Chs), follow the instruction you should end up with 3Sts + 99 patterns repeats at Row 1. Row 2 you should have 201 DC sts. Thanks!
Many thanks. But I am still not sure how many multiples of 8 should be in the foundation chain for a large size. Please do tell. Thanks again for replying.
You should do a swatch and estimate how much foundation chains you should need, for a larger size, add a multiple of 32 chains to the foundation chain in the video tutorial. 😊
hi, sorry but maybe you misread the information. As far as I remember, the label doesn't say the size of the yarn, what you're looking at could be the gauge. The Alize Cotton Gold itself is 330m/100g, any yarns with a length of 250 to 350m per 100g could be considered Sport weight yarn. I also put a link about the yarn in the description, it describes alize cotton gold as sport weight yarn.
It has a 4 in a box on the label. That is the weight if the yarn. It is a symbol used almost internationally (I don’t believe Europe uses it). Your hand is right next to it in the last part where you’re describing the yarn.
😁Sorry I just want to let you know about which hook size should be used and the gauge information, not the weight of yarn. The 4 number inside the box describes that with 4mm Knitting Needle, you should get 21 Sts and 35 Rows in 10x10 cm Square. Normally, the weight yarn symbol is the roll of yarn with the size number inside and with a weight yarn letter above. Believe me, all sellers describe the Alize Cotton Gold as Sport weight yarn 😁
I purchased this pattern very hard to follow! Way to many pages 33 of them! The pattern is easy to follow, but where and when to stop is not clear without a lot of time wasted going through all 33 pages!
Hi Peggie, thanks for purchasing from our shop. There is an overall about product assembly at the Note section which you can find at the beginning of the document. For instance, the body panel is crocheted in one piece only so the stop point is when you finish the body panel, then you will crochet sleeves separately, sew sleeves to the body panel and crochet hemline edge at last. I hope this would help, thanks!
Edit for Body Panel: Rep from Row 2 to Row 7 until Row 48.
Can you please clarify row 1, total dc count, is it 99 or 100. I don't understand the plus 3 stitches

You said to use sports weight yarn, but the Alize yarn you showed is a weight #4. Which one? It actually looks like a light #4 or DK yarn.

Thanks so much 🥰
The written instruction say “repeat row 3-8” not “2-7”. I’m confused
Hi, the written pattern is the newest version and you should follow it, the video tutorial is just for reference, thanks!
how many balls of wool do we need
It depends on the size of your cardigan. For the XS/S size in the tutorial, you will need 4 balls of yarn (100g each ball).
IS THE SWEATER IN THE TUTORIAL A MEDIUM SIZE?
Hi, it is XS/ S Size, thanks!
What is the size of this cardigan?
The size in the video is XS/S. Other sizes are available in the written pattern, thanks! 😊
