My husband is a Morehouse man, and I am a Spellman grad, but if one had to judge, the award would have gone to JSU. The sound and delivery coming across that field sent chills over our bodies. It was the discussion on the way home. It was as if each section was singing their supposed lines. When you can sing the lead and chorus, and the doo whoops! That’s amazing ❗ FAMU sounded good, but they didn't have the musicality, sound & rhythm of JXN. JMO. I can’t wait to see what the Spartans bring.

Im still missing that big tuba crescendo on the end of the phrase. Thats such a trademark of FAMU, but it seems youve abandoned it. Thats unfortunate in my opinion. Good sound, and keep refining it!

I've never heard a PWI coming at an HBCU Band program with nothing but Awe and admiration because our style is so electrifying and entertaining compared to theirs. That's what I get from crossover games like fam vs UNC or SU vs GSU ect. The ironic thing is some other swac schools have no problem criticizing Famu & Bcu's style of play as boring because of the balance and articulation, but those same schools have a problem when Fam or Bcu criticize their style of play. @@daprofessakid

I'm gonna be mad transparent, that was for sure the worst song they played in person and on camera. Them Gs in the beginning were not it and the second half of the piece was fluffy as hell.
JSU sound like they get together at the end of every summer and just vibe. No actual rehearsals. Just vibes. Sounds awful. SU is the only SWAC band that pulls off this sound/style well. The rest need their own identity. Easy FAMU dub
SWAC bands have a tradition of just playing LOUD without any musical or balanced sound. JSU is sort of getting away from this? Maybe FAMU can influence more on how to play with DYNAMICS, PITCH, INTONATION and BALANCE which is the epitome of the legendary Dr. William P. Foster.
Sad to say FAMU remind me of my high school band, more people skating than playing. Way too many instruments to have such a low volume. They always been that way. I guess that’s why they the the 100, they sound like a 100.

Do you want a 100 is a great band but they're sticking out and each section. There's no blending, and you can't hear the harmonies the way you should, and this is not the famu sound. I'm going to have to give JSU to W for this one.
