Growing up in and with the Military community, the attitude has always been ‘Black schools and Colleges and organizations are unpatriotic’ which is why they don’t get the props and financial support they deserve. After the playing of the “Stars and Stripes”, I figured it out … other folks are threatened by how well Black institutions and etc. will out perform the others. I have heard that song played by many well-known bands and orchestras and NEVER did I hear the Piccolo section come out SO strong. Thank YOU Marching 100. The world should hear that played as you have presented it! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I was never really a Marching 100 fan because I always rocked with the Jukebox. But this band sound and swag can't go unnoticed this season. They had their struggles for a couple of years, but this looks like the Marching 100 we've seen in the past. This was an amazing performance by them, and that dance routine was fire. GREAT JOB FAMU!!!
A band to look at is the Jukebox!!!!! FAMU is a cool band, but they spread their members so wide to look big.🤔 SU is a tight big band that sounds strong whatever they play. And in parades..SU are the only band that have ten members across... maybe Dega and the other 5 and 8... The reason I feel that people are jealous of the Juke is because their songs sound more like the record than any other bands period. They play the background music you hear on the songs when other bands don't. I call it extra notes. I could not believe how great they sounded when they passed me by in a mardi gras parade. I have never heard anything like that before. Remember when FAMU didn't have a band for one year. Well that year..the FAMU fans were miserable at football games without their band. I would say that other bands didn't care, so they went on and tried to rub it in the FAMU face. I guess the FAMU fans thought SU would do the same thing...but at halftime..SU didn't bother to make the FAMU fans feel bad like the others did because of them not having a band that year. SU didn't even do their whole halftime routine, on the field, they spelled FAMU, 😲..and the song they played was by Al Green-Lets's Stay Together. It was very emotional, and the respect one great band has for another great band. Even in tough battles between those two..SU spelled FAMU.🙂 It's good to see FAMU back like they used to be. -SU Fan
@@APDEvening I think it's more of a financial issue. Not to mention the fact that TXSU fans barely show up at games anyway. Poor attendance is the reason they stopped going to Dallas.

They sound GREAT !! You can hear every instrument section. Clarinets and flutes aren’t over powered by brass like they are in most bands.❤❤

Famu and BCU are pointless to be in the SWAC neither of them travel to SWAC bands so they must be scared
