its a shame that this games "dead" like nobody on 125 yet im there everyday. this games pvp is criminally underrated among the vast majority of dark souls pvpers
@@fruitytuesdayz5760 It's the cheesiest cringy shit ever tho; 0 skill, and the one with the worst connection wins. Why would people play this? Dark Souls pvp is amongst the worst pvp worldwide.
@@fistofram5526 you say there is no skill in it but I believe it has a lot of skill expression. Movement feels good and baits and feints feel really satisfying. @@fruitytuesdayz5760 not having dead angles killed the pvp. I have 1000 hours on the original dark souls. And remastered pvp just doesn't feel nearly as fun. Dead angles was a huge part of the game. I feel bad for the new people that never experienced the OG dark souls 1 back in its hay day.
Huh. I used to use chaos blade + dark hand back in the day. I think this is the first time I've seen somebody else use that. The dark hand as a shield, that is, not CB. That shit was everywhere.

SO the entire PvP is just parries and backstabs; but you never backstab or get bacstabbed by the actual character. How do you learn such things? Haven't found a guide yet.
I've put over 1400 hours into Dark Souls series, and have only invaded another player once just to see what it was like. I will never understand what pleasure invaders get for frustrating noobs, possibly ruining their experience to the point where they quit altogether. Some new player who's still trying to figure out how the game works gets invaded by a veteran who has taken their level and AP the absolute limit that matchmaking allows - that's not a contest, and impresses no one but yourself. I love this series (obvs) but can do without PVP. Jolly coop is way more fun.
@@fruitytuesdayz5760 @Stinkymoe I agree it is his opinion, but there is also nothing wrong with opening up a discussion of some kind. I agree with Adamsmasher's statement and Lellus's above point as well. The pvp in dark souls 1 has it's good qualities and has the potential to be great, but sadly it is all brought down by how the "Meta" and "Tech" of the game are unintended and broken mechanics. There is depth, but it is based on how broken the game is, and is rock, paper, backstab. If not backstabs you have the incessant Twinking that goes on, making the experience for new players, or hell even veterans of the game absolutely horrible and not fun. Be it dark bead, black flame, or some form of chaos weapon with humanity scaling. Twinking is further a problem because armor reinforcement does not count towards weapon matchmaking. Twinking is such a problem that it feels necessary for someone else to do it as well, and it just spreads. I mean most no lifer losers play like this; you can be good and enjoy without lagstabs.
This was the jam back in the day. Forgot there's no dead angling in remastered lol. Also the door clip at the end had me dying.
10:26 that is the peak of dark souls right there😂😂😂 definitely something I would do
Thanks for the nostalgia.
Pfft haha the doorstrat at the end, caught me off guard. I thought i knew all the darksouls 1 tech.
Old school, we never healed on a 1v1. Dude was showing* you respect

10:15 actual fucking SNL skit
Nothing will ever beat the janky dark souls 1 meta, it was truly one of the metas ever metaed.
I hope they have an all out war in elden ring.
Not and R1 in sight this is hilarious! Brings back lots of memories. Everyone just pivoting and running around trying to backstabbing haha.
Damn Kicks are very powerful in ds1. Wish I knew that when I got into the series.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane Steel.
6:00 that's the kinda sh*t I miss just chaos amongst players you don't get that in elden ring sadly
7:30 pickaxe gaming!!
God I miss base game Dark Souls. A lot of glitches added so much depth to pvp unintentionally. And its just not there in DSR.
only pvp glitch really missing is the deadangle and all things out of it. that one was criminal to remove
Yeah sure "depth" aka abusing a broken game system. That is really what is going on here. I am sure this was not intended by the devs.

Backstabsouls
Havel moms still everywhere I see LMAO

A bit shy on the backstabbing this video.

Dark Souls 1 players try to not ego on someone that bodied them despite 3 years hiatus challenge (impossible)
If they would only fix backstab and poise this game would be so good id play it again

ds1 pvp is so goofy haha
What are the best places and the best levels to invade?
What level do u use to perform in pvp, 100?

its experience, search how ''dark souls remastered how to backstab'' and u find a small video series
Why is everyone fighting everyone? It's like a bar brawl lol.
People just celebrating the return of the ds1 servers.
Gravelord servant thingy
in the remastered if there are 6 people u rave in the world
This shit was jank but it had a certain charm to it.
Sick skills

If you invade beginners its true but at meta lvl there are mostly ganks players who wait for someone to invade and they know what their doing
I'm glad I didn't get into the pvp in this.
Looks interesting as heck. But not the skill ceiling that I enjoy.
My favorite game ever, but PvP was super one dimensional. It revolves around poise + backstabs.
