Hi. I’m sorry to bother you. But your the only one on TH-cam who makes any sense to me and you explain how it all works. I’m mechanically minded and I can do most things. But when it comes to injectors I can’t seem to find something that explains what I’m looking at. I don’t a scanner quite as good as yours. The only values I’ve got for each injector is the ‘Us’ if that’s what the letters are. My 4 injector reading are all different. At idle the Number 1 is -36 and up. number 2 is 26. number 3 is 10 and. number 4 is the lowest at 0 or up slightly. I don’t expect anything from you in great detail. It just seems like there way out and I thought they all should be similar in valves if they was good.
Probably best advice is to replace them based on averages Depending what vehicle it is either way you should check out Diagnostic ? playlist, and our Injector information playlist on our channel

I have a 2006 toyota rav4 d4d 180bhp... it blows white fuel smelly smoke when I dump the throttle and takes a bit of driving to get rid of it... there no oil water mixing... and it stinks of fuel so its obviously over fueling ... any ideas to look at... thx
Hey mate love your videos. My readings are all mainly lower than you’re saying but I feel like my car (2008 hilux) is noisy when cold. I understand they aren’t a quiet engine being a diesel and especially cold but still not sure. Tested at 80degrees. Would you be concerned with 10% load, injection volume around 5. Main injection around 550. Injectors are similar to your values on video. I’m confused as I don’t know if that low is good or bad. Appreciate any feedback mate and thanks again for your knowledge
Hi mate So I have 2022 Great Wall 2.0 Turbo diesel we had water in tank so injectors failed. Dropped tank cleaned all lines bleed the system and put used set car run for 45 minutes while doing a manual DPF burn so was high rev. After it finished all injected burn out(failed) clean system agin put another set car run for a day and also after high rev except same thing happened again. One mechanic think DPF, other think ECU and GWM think it’s the high pressure fuel pump. Not sure who to trust to be honest. I spent so much money on it and it always back to ground zero with same problem.
Hello, thanks for the video. At 6:26, the reading of the Target Common Rail pressure is at 35000kpa. It is suppose to be fix or changes whenever you accelerate the car ?
supposed to change with engine conditions, the ecu calculate the target or you can name it the specified value, then the ecu it self send signals to the hp metering valve and the regulator rail valve to execute a good deviation ( the actual value should be controled to the target value as the target value is the refrence)
Hi Anthony just wondering would worn washers cause 31% load injector feedback vals are all in between .3-.6 injectors were replaced by Toyota a little under a year ago not sure if I should just go ahead and change them myself as I think the washers need doing thanks for the brilliant videos 👌

How can I sort this problem out can it be the bad fuel injector???.

My engine load is up around 80%. Car tried to start but didnt. I bought the car as non runner, tried a leakdown test and suspect a wornbore in one cylinder, so I wont buy injectors before I find out. Would it be madness to get it started to get an idea of the state of the engine? Yaris 1ND tv 2006

I have a 2,2 tdci ford ranger, I replaced the injector washers and cleaned everything now the car have a low boost error. P0299 everything was working 100% before i worked on the injectors, I smoke tested for boost leaks, none were found. There are no other fault codes and it sound like there is a missfire on about 1500rpm. Can a faulty injector cause the low boost error? I dont know what to do anymore. Where im from you cant trust anybody for testing injectors they will tell you its faulty even if its not, charge a lot of money and then the problem still accours. I have a Launch obd but i dont know what to look for on the live data
Another great enjoyable video. Q, - I I recently made a massive mistake in putting unleaded in my deisal Hilux, I drove about 4 ks at 60kph to where I was going then turned it off. When i went to start the Ute again but it wouldn't fire up, it just turned over.. I had all the fuel pumped out by wrong fuel rescue, they got it going straight away for me but I'm worried if I've damaged the fuel system in some way..? The motor sounds perfect but I may have a little flat spot in the power curve when at 2,000 revs to 2200 rpms and it might feel a bit sluggish, it's most noticably when going from third to fourth but every other area of power range seems pretty normal Could this be as a result of mixing my half tank of deisal with the other half of unleaded..? Or is that distance unlikely to damage anything? Any advice is appreciated.. Glen

Hi i have a toyota 2kd engine.....engine will run with a fuel rail pressure 20k at idle and die after abt 15m as fuel pressure decrease up to 14k....the thing is after cool down pressure go back to 20k? How?
What rail pressure do stock 1KD Hilux's see at wide open throttle under load? I am seeing 190,000 kPa but my Hilux isn't stock, just interested how far it has been raised if at all.
And the fault varies its not constantly like when below 60degres temp an all the wat to 3000 rpm it can drive like a dream even in higher temps but then it could change drastically also when it just comes on when touching the pedal
If injectors are over fueling, what effect it will have on common rail pressure and same what will happen if injectors are under fueling will it increase or decrease the common rail pressure

you have a high number of control deviation pressure (specified or the target pressure vs the actual pressure), it should show only less than around 10000 KPA !
This really helps me. I live in a country where we consider injectors dark magic.

It's the injector 2 faulty
