Whoa, somebody uploaded my old replay as a video! It is not a world record! Jacob beat this score (without slowdown!) years later - he made 1406 combo (iirc) with over 2M score. The replay was recorded in version 1.3 with slowdown, so it's half-legit. Even in those conditions, it's pretty difficult to achieve a score like this. Without slowdown, I my record was "only" 1096 in that version. I quit playing Icy Tower over a year ago. I still occasionally play the Facebook version, though.

After losing 1300+ combo, how it was happen you couple times got so small (great, sweet etc.), it looks like other player was at ths game last seconds. Or that the thing is that player has hard time to make combo at all if he loss so high +1300 combo at the moment due to time pression? I supposed to see for examlple 1300+ combo, later perhaps 500+ etc., not so small few ones in the row at the end
Simple answer: Switched to floor playstyle after completing the combo. There is little incentive going for score because anything you do at that point will pale in comparison to the massive bonus from the 1300+ combo. Besides, with the floors this narrow, it's difficult to keep a reasonably long combo anyway. Keep in mind that this was already 100+ floors above the previous WR. Would have been cool to have a good combo AND floor in one game. Alas, I fell shortly after.
Wow this game unlocked so many memories, remember in the summer of 09 going to Richmond VA with my dad & siblings & the boys & girls club we was at had this game & everyone used to try & get to the highest floors. I’ve reached the bones once & I could Never reach it again. It takes a little bit of luck tbh
