I'm kinda jealous because in my language almost everything you say you have to say with male or female pronun (idk really how to call this) so even if I want to say "I was..." I have to say this in female (with "a") or male (with "e"). So if you are not out yet or non binary like me then well, you would be fucked 🙂

My biggest issue is: I have absolutely NEVER felt uncomfortable with my pronouns/my body/myself all throughout my life, and then I started questioning my gender, but the question didn't come from a discomfort, it came because I never fit into the stereotipe of masculinity, so I thought I might be a woman.
After I started questioning, my anxiety grew so much on me, that everytime I'd think to myself "I think I'm cis, yeah this feels okay" my brain would go "REALLY? DOES IT REALLY? OR ARE YOU LYING TO YOURSELF?" until I started believing I was indeed lying to myself. I have now come to a point where I can't think about anything else, I can't sleep, I can't eat, talk, nothing except thinking about this, but I also am not able to have a concrete thought because my anxiety completely messed up my capacity to tell whether I am actually feeling something or not.

I really think I’m non-binary; but I’m scared to tell anyone that I believe I am, because There’s a part of me that is scared that I’ll be wrong, and that I’m just cis, or transgender, and I’m just making stuff up in my head. idk, I’d love to experiment with they/them pronouns, as well, but I don’t have anyone I trust to ask to refer to me by they/them pronouns- and I’d love to try a different name, cause I hate the one I was given. It’s pretty, but it’s too feminine, I think? I’m sorry for rambling, ig, but this video was really helpful so, thank you and I love your content!

Gender identity is a confusing and illogical term, a person does not have to identify themselves as A or B based on what is traditionally associated with the personal tastes of women or men, this is just giving more strength and logic to the existence of these stereotypes. If you're a woman who has tastes traditionally associated with men it doesn't change the fact that you're a woman, your tastes are just about personality, not a radical left-wing concept that seeks to mislead the meaning of "gender" like it is something scientific that you are born with.
Sex is only defined by the sex organ and chromosomes a subject is born with, in addition to other characteristics that develop in adolescence but are not as relevant. A subject can freely change sex if he feels bad about his body or if he thinks he will be happier and less judged in the opposite sex, that I believe and I fight for, now believing that someone is mentally born one thing and physically born another thing is simply impossible and illogical, just because you have short hair and male clothes and like cars and football it doesn’t make you less of a woman, that it’s just your taste, that’s just your personality.

@@sugeknightiswatchingyou You don't understand the difference between sex and gender. If gender didn't exist, everyone would be treated exactly the same. But that's not true. There are even studies that show that people even treat _parrots_ differently if they think the parrots are male or female. So basically if you show the same parrot to someone but claim it's male, people will act differently around the parrot than if you claim it's female. This is not logical behaviour. That's how ingrained gender is.

The label that matches what I feel is agender, I just exist haha. Looking back when I was younger, I never felt "off." I didn't know people even could experience sexual thoughts or gender (I am aromantic as well)! Before I was a teen I was never called a girl by my parents, sure they used she/her for me and daughter but that never bothered me back then.
I remember once in gym, when we were playing a game and did girls vs boys as teams, never bothered me cause they were referring to me as my sex. For some reason, I remember "feeling" agender, (if I could put into words, "distance from female, I guess") then, I didn't think about it.
Now that I know having a gender identity is a thing I have been looking for who I was in the gender aspect. I found out recently that I like they/them and no pronouns. However, I am fixated on when they call me she/her and girl, which didn't happen before. Plus keep bringing up me getting a boyfriend (I understand where they got that though as if I ever got into a relationship it would be with a man, that was when I forgot what happens in romantic relationships and I ditched the idea.)
I have thought about coming out to my parents, even though I am uncomfortable when they bring up future boyfriend, me being a "girl," and me "looking at nudes" when I hide my tablet, I don't like people watching me watch or read anything. They have said that they would accept me if I was gay, and I know my parents would be comfortable with me being Aroace, as they said I don't have to get into a relationship If I don't want to. However, when nonbinary people was brought up at a friend's house, my mom said "they is plurel' as a response to it, and my dad frequently makes jokes about people using the "other bathroom" a LOT.
I am comfortable being who I am, but I don't like it when my parents keep bringing up me being a girl, using she/her, making jokes about me looking at "nudes", or making jokes about "what bathroom do they use"(not in a positive way). I have made it VERY CLEAR that I don't like them making jokes like the bathroom one.

When I started exploring different gender identities as a teenager, I was kind of beaten into submission by people constantly invalidating me and eventually being forced into an all-girls school. Sometimes I try to do some research on different identities, but I've been conditioned to feel emotionally drained and exasperated every time I try. I just tell people I'm cis in order to avoid having to debate someone, and it feels wrong, but every label feels wrong for me. How do I figure myself out when I can't get over this mental barrier?

    • @luciussakura5031
      @luciussakura5031 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

You don't have to find a specific label right away, if you want to you can just go with an umbrella term, which might be a good fist step. For example, I first started identifying myself as genderqueer. Maybe look at agender if you haven't already. Also if no label feels right to you, you don't need to label your self at all. What I do instead now is I have a mental representation of my gender, mine is white light radiating form a core, with yellow light on its edges. It can fluctuate in intensity, and there can be more or less yellow at any given time. Also there's a gravitational pull towards the core. This was useful for me because then I felt like I knew what my gender was, even if it was hard to explain. Hope this helps :)

Same, I genuinely am just confused. I was born female, appear female (because it’s easy I guess?) but more tomboyish (I like wearing a lot of more unisex clothes and hate skirts/dresses) and if someone referred to me with he/him pronouns, I’d be confused as to why they assumed that I was male (cause puberty’s annoying) but, I don’t think I’d care? Like, I prefer she/her or they/them pronouns, but I wouldn’t really care if someone used he/him? Why can’t we all just be genderless and vibe.

Love this! This is an awesome video. Being gender fluid (which took a long time to figure out about myself) sometimes how I feel internally is definitely not the gender I'm dressing like on the outside. It's nice to know I'm not weird for that. See too much stuff in the media about people saying that they're transgender just because they like wearing women's clothes or men's clothes or something like that that society tells you you have to wear if you're a man or a woman. I can still feel like a man while wearing a dress, it's just a fact. I don't know if very many people would understand that but it's nice to see a video that explains the difference between gender identity and gender expression.

@Tellos Travna If you are saying that gender is a social construct then I agree. But based on your clothes, behavior, name, and more society treats you differently. If you present a certain way, you get treated a certain way. Based on your gender expression you are expected to use a certain bathroom, use specific pronouns, act a certain way, etc. So gender expression isn't just fashion sense.

    • @sugeknightiswatchingyou

A subject can freely change sex if he feels bad about his body or if he thinks he will be happier and less judged in the opposite sex, that I believe and I fight for, now believing that someone is mentally born one thing and physically born another thing is simply impossible and illogical, just because you have short hair and male clothes and like cars and football it doesn’t make you less of a woman, that is just your taste, that’s just your personality.

You are not partially a boy. Many men will have a feminine attribute that helps us relate to women and many women have a.mascu, one side to their personality too. It help them relate to men. It’s all normal and good. It’s good when a wife enjoys football and auto racing to share commonality with her husband. The same is true for men. It’s good they enjoy shopping so they can enjoy time with their wife while shopping. It’s normal. If you encourage thoughts of being bi-sexual you will create your own problem. If you entertain thoughts of sleeping with men over the age of 70 you will in a short time become attracted to that age group. You need to calm down and become grounded. You need to gain control of your thoughts and you life. Give your felling due considerations but don’t over think life. My 2 cents.

And then I’ll qualify it by saying it’s easier than having to read my actual first name.
But I just realized, I’ve always liked my nickname better than my given name. I always thought it was just cause it sounds cool or something, which it does, but what if I like it because it’s more neutral than my given name?
But wait, I still like my given name. I often don't care which one people call me. They're both me. What?? Someone please help. I’ve never seriously questioned my gender identity before. I feel comfortable doing it. I enjoy the traveling involved. I like that I am a part of the Transportation Community. And I'm pleased it offers me the chance to serve a wide variety of customers.

So, a week ago I was walking and I randomly remembered, "abro!" and...I was thinking about it a lot and...it makes sense, really.

If you ever feel gender fluid, the best thing to do is test to find out what gender you feel more comfortable with. If you’re a girl at birth and are gender fluid, you could do a “boy for a day” type, dress up as a boy, disguise as a boy, and do boy like stuff. The same goes if you’re a boy at birth and are gender fluid. You could do a girl for a day, dress up as a girl, disguise as a girl, and do girl stuff. The only problem is, you may forget who you are if you’re pretending to be someone else for a day. Especially if it’s a gender you weren’t assigned at birth.

I think i might be gender neutral or graygender- though i do feel female or male sometimes, it is very weak and i mostly just feel there, just me. But at the same time theres a little bit of gender there. I feel gender neutral because I'm not entirely empty if you get what i mean, i still feel a little bit of gender but not a lot. I know demi girl exist but when i do feel that little bit of gender i don't just feel female. It depends on me when i feel a little bit of gender if i feel female or male. And being gender neutral make me comfortable

Im 13 year old "girl" going though a gender crisis the only reason I found this video is because I've been searching what is my gender and how do I know my gender on YT and taking quizzes i have know clue what the hell i am and a bunch of lables don't feel right idk what I am but i know im not a girl and i still young so i guess i have lots of time to figure it out and experiment but i don't have much room with my family idk why im typing this in the comments i guess im ranting sence i can't tell anyone or im looking for a community to relate if u are actually reading this the. Hi😀

Can i just say that the quizzes tend to be very inaccurate and base off stereotypes therefore I do not suggest it. I took some and they all gave me results based on stereotypes. What's important is if you feel dysphoria and what dysphoria you feel. Dysphoria is what determines whether you are trans or not and can determine your gender (for example non binaries might have chest dysphoria and get top surgery to deal with it). Stereotypes do not determine your gender, since girls can like "boy" things and boys can like "girl" things.
Basically my suggestion for you is to take your time. Please do not make any rushed or impulsive decisions. I'm fifteen rn (also born a female) and am currently trying to go as slow as possible to finding my true gender whilst dealing with dysphoria. Trust me: impulsive decisions will make you unhappy its better to experiment and take your time, learning what's comfortable for you and who you are. Best of luck to you!
