Loved watching a video on a job I was planning to do myself. Thanks for the demo, and for giving me the confidence to give it a try. Tell your father we want to see pics of the completed garage workshop when it is done. Thanks for sharing.
I found your video to be the Best on how to use this product. Others left out mixing or if it wasn't that it was something else. You're very thorough. Thank you and God Bless👌
I put this same stuff in my garage when we moved in 1.5 years ago, still looks great so far. One downside is the chips don’t get fully adhered and they kinda crumble over time, creating loose grit to sweep up. Not a big deal. I highly recommend sanding the whole floor first. You can rent a floor buffer with a diamond sanding wheel at a home center. Creates a lot of dust but it’s worth it. When it comes to concrete the mechanical bond of the finish is the most important factor.
I was wondering about that. It looks like those chips are just sprinkled on. So there is nothing above the chip to protect the chip. I wonder if the same kit system is sold in clear (no color). If so, can coat above the chip later again. That would lock in and protect the chips, as well as giving the black floor a deeper luster, like a clear coat on a car.
Whattttt!!!! You’ve been such an amazing help throughout my whole home Reno I did myself this past year......which is why I’m so pumped....This is literally the first time I knocked out one of your project before ya🤯😜 thank you for all you do!!
Great video and awesome job! One additional step that makes life so much easier is a pressure washer.. so so much better than just the hose and why does everyone miss the clear top coat
Unless you’re also throwing down anti skid that clear coat would make it even slipperier than it already is. Personally I’m already looking at about $4000 to cover my garage since it takes twice as much as advertised. It’s already got a nice semi gloss to it. So I doubt I’ll be throwing more money at a glossier coat plus the money for the anti slip. I’d be creeping up on $5000 really quick I did.
Hi… The floor looks great! I noticed that you you put the polycuramine outside of the garage door. Will there be issues when exposed to the outside? I am curious as I am starting my floor this weekend.
I just used this same kit on my garage floor and it turned out amazing but I do have a question sense you have black as well. How do you remove little scratches and is there any type of cleaning that you ever need to do to keep the gloss highly effective? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated here. Thanks
I didn’t hear her say how much she used and the square footage that was. Or does using the primer make the actual coating stretch further? Because everyone I’ve ever seen use this had to use 2~3 times as much to get good coverage. Either way, I know it’s better to have too much than not enough.
Very good job and I loved the color I ask you if the exposi shield is the one that comes complete for two garage I want to do it but I have never tried it thanks for the video and if you have any recommendation please I" be pending then P.S. Well (Done) job and I love it
Is there any reason this wouldn't work for a countertop makeover? How strong is the smell? Does the smell linger after the initial drying period? Will it be off gassing for months after it's done? Probably not the best for inside my house if so.
I don’t have a coating on my garage floor (it is bare concrete) I want to avoid acid etch all together. would it work to prime the bare concrete rather than etch?
Good job on the floor... Im about to do one for a friend, so this helps big time :) If your hubby ever bails on ya you can hit me up anytime... day or night 365 days a year..... I have garage's, furniture, landscaping, auto repair, decks to be built, vinyl siding, etc.....
Great job Stef! Will you marry me? Hehe So cool seeing a lady out there that loves getting her hand dirty! About to hit this new garage floor. Wish me luck!
She does not seem to respond to questions, so maybe you viewers can help People say you need way more kits than the square footage suggests. Do you think using the primer extends the covering of each kit. I keep reading that you don't NEED to primer a clean floor, not whether it works better. Would anyone recommend or warn against acid etching AND primer on clean concrete?
I just did this on my new construction home, this weekend. If you mix and open the bag, you have about 30-45 minutes before it turns into taffy and then a complete rock hard clump. Work quickly. I bought 2 kits for a 2 car garage and 1 kit probably would’ve been enough if I didn’t waste 75% of the first bag trying to cut in the perimeter. The end result was fantastic but I will never use this stuff again
@@jamalcruz7328 I’m California and my house has dry wall in the garage since I bought it 30 years ago. I’ve never seen that before around me… I thought all houses had finished garages😁… I didn’t know!… I am handy woman and like projects like this. Loved the rust oleum finish and I did that in my garage. ☮️✌️
@Claudia Abadia oh gotcha! I just had a home built and they give the option of leaving it unfinished. But it's so cheap, most people probably just opt to have it done. Right on! How'd it go? Any tips? Would you have done anything different?
@@jamalcruz7328 great! When we bought our home I was still in college and we could barely afford a home so we bought at the lowest in the market 2- bedroom home and when we had our third son we took the vaulted ceilings and added another floor with three bedrooms… one for each baby 🙃 it turned out great… back in those days I did’t do social media none the less videos to show my the progress; Still don’t , now that the kids are older, its time to size down. 😂😂. I love my big-kitchen and I am grateful for the space. we couldn’t afford another house in this market today, Home prices are thru the roof in California- we love the weather.

Can you do an update review in six months? Don’t see many follow up videos on these products
Been a few years. Would be great to see a photo.

Nice job. How many RockSolid Garage Floor Kits did you use for this project? Is there a top coat needed after you apply the chips?

@@reallifeengineer7214 The chips provide a rough texture to keep the surface non slip. It's good that they're exposed.
you have to add a clear coat over it.

A great job especially in applying the flakes. Truly professional!
Will we get to see the rest of the garage improvements? I love that floor! I plan on doing that to my own garage one day.

Cant wait to do this to mine.
Great Video!!! Nice and simple 👌
That look amazing ! And how many gallons of primer did you use for your 2 cars garage ?
great job! how does it look now 3 years later? did you do the top coat too or just the rock sold?

Awesome job!
U should put a Clear-coat seal for the final coat. For better seal and protection.
Very nicely explained,do we need to do primer for a brand new house as they gave cement flooring for us, I want to paint it! Thank you in advance
Wow looks so nice , I’m inspired to do this
Looks great! Don’t get paint/drywall mud on your new floors it’s difficult to clean up!
Love how this turned out 👍
Stenfani did you use only one box????
Great job!
Did you put a clear coat on at end?

How is your floor holding up to hot car tires?
Thank you for the video. Did you use the anti slip?
Just wondering if this will hold up to water? :Looks amazing!
Wait. You used primer and then used the etch over that? Doesn’t sound right? I’m confused.
Any update on floor status? Wear and tear?
Is hitting your head on a shelf part of Rustoleum's instructions, or is that a pro-tip based on your personal experience with the product?
LOL @ hitting your skull on that shelf. 100% would happen to all of us. I think I hit my head today on something and I work in an office environment.
Could you please update the condition on the floor now? Any coating peel off? Or hot tyre pick up ?thank you
I wish she would include how long the projects take overall to do. Was this half a day, a full day, or an entire weekend job?
How many bags of product were required for a garage this size??
Did u just use one kit for the 3 car garage ? I am trying to prevent myself from buying more than I need, my garage is 575 sqf
How did it hold up after 2 yrs please?
It looks great but I’d be nervous just priming it and not grinding the concrete first .. it’s probably gonna peel off after hot tires get it
Amazing..
Excellent job. I wish my daughter would do this for me. Your dad is lucky. The unchangeable factor would be worth 10K to me.
There is no step after sprinkling the chips on?
How is it holding up a couple years later
Obviously need the Clear Coat finish!
I don’t have a coating on my garage floor (it is bare concrete) I want to avoid acid etch all together. would it work to prime the bare concrete rather than etch?
What about adding a clear coat with silica on top to protect the surface and reduce slipping?
Also, those 5x5 squares look to be more like 6x7.
How well does the RockSolid Garage Floor Kit works on a driveway?
Stefani I love you....but I think you went a little chip crazy. You got the garage floor looking like Pleiades 😆

Why was the water so dirty?
Does this finish make the floor slippery?
I’ve seen this sort of finish. It makes the floor less slippery.

That's how all epoxy products work. One mixed you have about 45 minutes of working time. Best to have one or two friends help and work fast.
Interesting that this garage doesnt have insulated finished walls…
Why? It's an upgrade option with most builders.
