You should have bargained. They told me 1500 initially, but i told them, i know the price of memory foam that they are using (memory foam=Rs 300/ sheet). I simply told them, then they agreed for 700. Even 700 is more as i visited several other shop, and they were ready to do that for 500. Be wise while shopping in open market.
Agreed bro might have paid extra . The cloth I used he told was most expensive which was a premium . In case if it was same cloth u used then for sure they looted 😂
Hey hi Abhik, my self Franklin from Hyderabad I liked the way the modified ur bike seat, I have Bajaj v15 and would like to make changes to my bike seat as well.
I am also from Hyderabad and own an avenger. I am planning to modify the seat as well. Will this increase in width and height of the seat solve the discomfort for the pillion? Also, are the stiched ribbed like pattern creating any discomfort? I am too much irritated by the avenger seat, it's very uncomfortable for the pillion.
Yes it solves problem and height is increased a little bit for driver and by a good margin for the pillion you can see the difference in the height of the backrest . No discomfort for the stitched and it goes down in 1-2 days of use. Looks good feels good but in case it rains lill water will seep inside which is a bit of a disadvantage . Will upload full video . @@AbhikSingh Thanks for the response. I will prefer setting up a plane leather (no design) cover instead. After watching your video, i have made some points 1. While adding hard foam to increase the pillion, need to add some hard foam below the extended seat and holding the lower edge, otherwise the widened extension might get unequal after the pillion seats for long time. 2. Have to add a soft foam on the top that will equalize both sides. 3. Have to add some soft foam, at the back rest of the front seat, to maintain the bucket curve. Otherwise it may ruin the factory made comfort. 4. The pillion back rest also have to be installed (like cruise model) so that it can provide extra comfort to pillion as the seat height is going to increase. Thanks a lot friend for the video. I never had to seat on the pillion seat on this bike, once when I got the opportunity to be a pillion on my own bike, I was really uncomfortable and immediately felt the need to modify this. It's street 220. You have low ride handle bar which helps in city traffic and tubeless tyre in street.
