The problem is that hunting is no longer done for survival but for fun. Carnivores dont NEED to hunt anymore. The map is full of spawned elephant and zebra carcasses they can eat, and AI is spawned for them when they get below a certain stomach storage content. Back in the day, when even the AI spawn was unreliable, you had a ton of hunts and chases. But nowadays... why even bother? Why risk your male lion close to full elder when you can just chill? This is also why you see so many elders nowadays and why reaching elder is no longer an achievement. They ruined Animalia with all this nonsense. RIP.
It's cool there are games like this that at least somewhat emulate real world animal ecology/survival on a basic level. Of course, I always feel a bit disheartened because I know most people couldn't care less about this genre since there are a billion other games that are "less boring", especially competitive ones, so I know these games will probably never have the playerbase to form a decent ecosystem (pun unintended) and stay afloat long-term. And naturally most people who play this game would rather just play carnivores and fight each other lol. Many herbivores can kick major ass too, it's a shame they aren't appreciated/utilized enough. Still, I appreciate there being devs who put the effort into at least trying to make games like this work and players (at least some of them, not just people who want to PvP as animals for the lulz etc.) who can appreciate wildlife and some interesting PvP dynamics that could hypothetically happen.
A herb will attack a lions young to stop them from growing to adults in the real life. U can be an Aggressor some real animal had that trauma jus saying if your playing on them type of servers. An a Horse will kick anything next ta it it don't like or want to close.
they need to set limits to the amount of carnivores per server...like if the server limit is 100 set the limit to maybe 30 carnivores the rest have to be herbivores and decrease the amount of ai corpses, that will increase carnivore hunting
