Hey! We're about the same age and have the same experience and same #1 band! I've spent most of my life in nowherevilles, Missouri, but was fortunate enough to see Fugazi live twice. The first time around, they slept on my friend's floor.
This EP is my first meeting with that unique band named "Fugazi"', the first time I heard them, i listened to the tape "I don't know how many times" ! A love story that has always remained !
Still got all the early stuff on vinyl, and live back in the late 80s and early 90s they were completely untouchable. Being an old fart isn't so bad when you got this when you were young!
Seen them at the Channel in Boston when I was 14 in 1991 with Eye for an Eye and 7 League Boots, most intense show Ive ever been to. Historical show!! Rumor has it, Ian never made so much money on a show, I believe the show was 250 people Over Capacity and they were worried the Channel would fall into the Boston Harbor that afternoon!!! (Plywood shack) Thank you Ian and Fugazi!!! Sick!!!
Everything is so directly focused, amazing combination.Guitar,Bass,Drums, and Vocals.l never realized the capacity of this work when l first heard it in the early 90s. This EP is a masterpiece.
will get this again on vynil as well as others after havibg listened hundreds of times my cd since am a kid. am in washington foor 2 months. what can i do? i buy dc punk hc: fugazi, bad brains, void, faith, youth brigade, etc ec
Agreed. Bought it when it came out, looking at it right now, still grosses me out! I wish I could find out what that stuff is... maybe it wouldn't seem as bad!!!

@@joshdouglas6402 my brain also hurt reading that comment. If only people knew the influence of Fugazi, Minor Threat, embrace, rites of spring etc... anyone from the dischord label representing DC hardcore
I don't always listen to Fugazi, but when I do, it's for two weeks straight.
Got this cassette at 15 years old, still love it at 47. Timeless, classic, a beautiful chorus of sound. This band shall rank forever #1

Me too the exact same age. Still love it.
I'm a year older but yeah...same story. This band is so good.
Yo! I was 13 and my weirdo friend volunteered at the co-op record store. He gave me this on cassette because he knew I liked Minor Threat. I'm 44.
Yo. same. This band informed my teenage years.
Fucking best band ever. I bought this album 34 years ago and it still is amazing to me.
This is pure brilliance.

I love Fugazi and everything they had done, but I love this EP, this to me is their best, This is Fugazi at their best
To me... Repeater was the one that fell from the sky.
For me both Margin Walker and Repeater are untouchable

Still rockin that cassette to this day, classic ep for sure. Fugazi forever!!!!
Rediscovering all the shit that formed you as a teen at 40 is turning out to be super fun. Thank you Fugazi
Fk yeah
Yeah. I see now that I had great musical taste as a teenager, just as suspected back then.

My first fugazi show was in 1990 Benington College Vermont. It led to many years seeing them live in various states & venues. I love this EP.
I bought this and repeater on vinyl was already 23 when this came out, enjoying it now at 55
Still the greatest ever.
This is like the meaning of visceral. God damn..what power this has. Especially And The Same

End of the salad days, era of having to shave.
@@econogate lol.... never thought of it that way
I always stayed at home practicing guitar. I got sought out from the right folks to join a band that listened to fugazi Dino Jr. Sonic youth
I wish I saw them live but we live in lonely Pensacola, only soundgarden and no make-up kiss came here / fugazi was wonderful
Not sure how old you are Scott, but they played the Night Owl (I think that's the name?) in 1992. Five bucks. And yep it was incredible.
Used to listen to Fugazi while Shrooming ... '88 , '89 ... intense / Yes , on CASSETTE
Seems kinda ironic lol
@@ianb8677 any time anyone mentions drugs and Fugazi or even minor threat its complete irony.

One of their best lyrical Albums ... The maturity of Minor Threat without the drugs of Long Division
Drugs of Long Division? Huh?

Thanks for labeling it, I was unable to enjoy the music until you categorized it for me.
Brilliant, despite the facial.
Promises are shit.
Sounds like a band that would be annoying too loud also but interesting.
Promises is interesting.
It just sounds like fake Nazi gangbanger pc Democratic punk crap though. Punk is dead.
Kurt Kurdt listen to the back catalogue. amazing straight edge punks
"fake nazi gangbanger pc Democratic punk crap", wow. Your brain is a mystery. Trump thanks you for your vote.

Both Ian and Guy are talentless but it was interesting Alternative.
can I laugh now , is it ok , if I laugh , dickhead.
Troll!
Kurt Kurdt U know the guy's names. U sound like a smoldering stalker
how is it stalkerish to know band members names?
...says a meth head with no talent
Bah ha ha no offense but this album is too hilarious as Nazi satire!
