From 8:00 that has got to be the worst session of batting I have seen from an Australia team. Getting fired out by great bowling happens but here they collapsed themselves against some really mediocre bowling on a flat pitch
how a bunny like shane watson got games over brad hodge who averaged 50 in first class cricket for 20 years is beyond me and is frustrating to no end. Absolutely 0 firepower in this bowling attack what a joke.
Hodge was more the case of born too early but definitely deserved another crack in the late 2000’s when we were struggling. Though I was a lot more pissed with how they treated Katich, gun batsmen that got ousted because Clarke let his ego get in the way of playing the best team. Watson definitely overstayed his welcome but after 50 innings he did average 41 with the bat and 29 with the ball. Injuries took away his lethality as a bowler and an average of 35 just didn’t warrant keeping him in the side as a batsmen only.

This was the era where Pakistan had to try to lose insanely hard because of the match fixing , yet australia were 9 down still chasing... whilst pakistan were trying to lose.... you can kind of say australia were at all time low in cricket in the years Clarke was in charge , but i dont wanna just blame him because he was one of our only good players along with haddin and johnson in all the times we lost to Strauss' england
Imagine if Sachin Dravid Laxman Sehwag were a part of the current batting lineup along with the current pace attack. England would have forfeited the whole series already. So just keep imagining kiddo.
Prior's wicket was great How come Hughes was out in the first innings? That was a good review. Root crazy way to get out at 180. Umpiring was poor in this match.

Dear ICC please get rid of the toss to see who bats or bowls first, in test matches it gives those who wins the toss a blatant advantage. There should be no advantage given to either team before a bowl is bowled it's obviously unfair..eg: team sees its a flat batting wicket and wins the toss, they get to decide to bat first, they pile on 500 runs, declare and then put the fielding side in for one hr before close of play on day two. How many times have we seen this scenario..? How many teams can come back from this..? Change the rule of toss of a coin to "4 balls in a hat or container " each one says something different..home bat, home field, away bat, away field. Get a random selected guest to pull one ball out or use a machine like for lotto/bingo draws, and that is now fair and how it should be decided who bats or bowls first. I can't believe the toss of coin in this modern day can still give a team an advantage..? If a team wins the toss at start of every test they have an advantage, get rid of this archaic system pls.
