Thank you Jimmy your videos and the comments community here has helped me fix my diesel dpf filter. I just added diesel additive then added diesel premium topped up the oil then gave it a motorway run at high rpm. Now working good as new. Cheers.
Why replace the differential pressure sensor, the original appeared to be reading correctly ? For preventative maintenance given the mileage ? Which Launch unit is this, not clear from the audio ?
these engines/cars are very common to have the pressure sensor fail, so if you're doing dpf work is worth throwing a new one on while you're there so it doesnt cause another blockage
Engine temp doesn’t go above 75c on my Renault Megane, checked with Renault dealer mechanic and he told me 75c is with in tolerance range for my car. Temp gauge does go to middle, any thoughts?
Nice, merc seems to have given you a relatively easy time. I personally delete the DPF on my diesels, last one I had was 435d on a stage 2 software and had no reliability issues whatsoever ran that up to 240k miles from 35. My mate had one with the DPF on and had countless issues after 120k ended up replacing it twice and got rid of the car at 160 odd.
I have a x5 40d. Now on 105mls. Never had a problem ever with dpf. Mind you every few days or every day i do drive it hard and get them exhaust temps up so thats probably why lol
@@realmusicreallife nice, exactly the way to do it imo everyone I encounter with issues drives like a granny! If I was you I’d get a clean now as a prevention, then you’re guaranteed no issues at all.
BMW DPFs are like the French engines where the DPF will time out with the mileage, usually 155,650 ish miles. A good chemical clean and reset usually good to go but like the Mercedes, the pressure sensor will usually only last 10 years or 110k ish.
I have a 17 year old Euro4 Volvo with zero DPF issues. It has 250.000km aswell. DPF delete not on the list at all its in perfectly fine condition. I will open up the EGR though this spring and install a blockoff plate in there to keep the intake clean. Honest opinion for passenger vehicles Euro4 was and is good enough. Our cars would be cheaper, more efficient and less troublesome with Euro4 and the added pollution would be minor.

You are saving lots of people getting ripped off 💪🏼
Thank you bro. Your videos were very helpful for me 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Halfords doing DPF cleans. Oh dear god…………
A DPF clean at Halfrauds, means a static regeneration then.
Jimmy could you do a DPF clean using one of the pressurized cans they sell for DIYers?
He uses Launch UK
Why would he want to do that?
Manol, I think, do a pressurised can, get it from a motor factors. I've had success using one.
How much is DPF sensors from Mercedes?

He said MOT4

@yreva532 what other cars would you replace differential pressure sensor on ? What's common all mercs only or others too ??
How does dpf differential pressure sensor work? Does that mean when you have more soot in your dpf then differential pressure show higher reading?
on most it measures the pressure before and after the dpf and finds a middle, more soot = more pressure = higher reading

75 should be enough for a regen, if it concerns you enough start checking thermostat
