This is why I try to drive what I call "without blind zones". Meaning that if there is somewhere I cant see or a classical risk, like this, I tend to slow down and be partial ready to stop. In other areas where that is not the case I might drive a bit over the speed limit so I am no saint, but this mentality of trying my best to drive "without blind zones" has indirectly helped others a zillion of times.
@@imperija87nope, Volvo Norway (this happened in Norway) confirmed that the automatic emergency brake did not activate and the truck only stopped because of the driver.
Ja.
Sure his reaction was awesome, but when driving next to a bus you should in theory only drive at walking speed, and at least slow down considerably so you dont need to hold down the brake like that.

The problem is not children!! The problem is how the busstop is constructed and traffic rules. In USA all vehicles have to stand still until the bus starts again.
Problem is the truckdriver did not follow the law. You slow down wn the buss is stopped at the stop because this is a potential situation that became reality. You have to drive according to traffic and where potential hazards cann appear, The truck driver broke the law, the end.

Tror ikke personbilen min hadde stoppa like fort engang.
