did you try deep rock galactic ? if not you SHOULD try it. its co op game(you can enjoy it solo) when you shooting bugs a collecting gold , its like helldivers 2 and minecraft together
2024 was the first time I played a Street Fighter game. I was always a Tekken guy never played a 2D fighting game before. Street Fighter Alpha 3 became my game of the year because it showed me how awesome fighting games can be. Since then I played SF III. 3rd Strike, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom 1-2 and a few more.
Hell Divers 2, Silent Hill 2 remake, Bleak Faith Forsaken on the PS5, Space Marine 2, Persona 3 reload, Dragons Dogma 2 were essential highlights for me this year.. pretty solid year imo and also finally finished Death Stranding!! 😎
For me, my favourite game of the year would be Astro Bot. Loved every moment of it, while it may not do anything new, everything it does has been refined to perfection. I had the biggest smile on my face while playing - so much joy in one game. I miss platformers like this.
I finally got to through to play The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk this year, they truly are a must play for anyone, both are amazing rpg's, and man, The Witcher 3's story and side quests are so good! The DLC for Elden Ring was also nutty and hyped up (the final boss did disappoint me a little), but I beat him before the patches rolled around so I feel proud. Looking forward to Nightreign
On my side, i start the years with doing a new game of monster hunter world. It was my 3 time xD. Of curse Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail was a hit for me. I'm a old timer on ff14 and i continue since so long to enjoys the game. Vision of mana was very good too on my side. I love it. For my final game, it was sea of star. I love old rpg style and this game hit me every time i play
HD2 had a rocky time, but it’s SO back after they rolled back “most” of their dumb decisions and finally added more stuff. Just fun to jump on with friends every once in a while.
Helldivers 2 Chrono Trigger Just starting Okami HD Lunistice The Metro games (still working on the exodus DLC) Mario 64 I had a great gaming year thanks to the steam deck
With regards to BG3, I completely agree with you. It's a fantastic game, one of the best ever for sure. But it fails to crack into my Top 10 mostly due to the lackluster story and world. In contrast, Dragon Age Origins and DO2 (both in my Top 10) have really strong stories, and Thedas is far more intersting to me than Faerûn.
Yeah the main story really keeps it out of my Top 10 as well but it's certainly close to being in there. Still haven't played the Dragon Age games but maybe I'll find some time to try them out this year.
@@NovemberHotel BG3 is basically Larian's take on Dragon Age. You can tell that Larian was heavily inspired by old Bioware (like how they did the companions). Just a heads up: If you do play the earlier Dragon Age games, make sure to use mods. Dragon Age Origins is especially broken without mods.
Ive been injured alot this year so I got alot of gaming done. Started with Palworld,The Messenger, Sea of Stars and Helldivers then moved on to Stellar blade when that released. Then bought Elden ring on steam right before the DLC came out and did 4 playthroughs of that with the dlc up until Wukong came out and then I played that 5 times like a freak lol. Felt a bit lost after all that Wukong and moved on to playing all the main Fromsoft games I never played so I powered through DS1&2,demon souls, bloodborne and then DS3. After that felt a little burnt out on that type so I finally played the Cyberpunk DLC,as I finished that up the recent steam sale happened and I grabbed up a Sekiro . My first playthrough a few years ago was so hard and stressful I stopped after beating it but after having it already click with me I absolutely loved every second this time plus I had to legit beat Demon of Hatred after chessing it the first time. After that I replayed Fallen Order and am replaying Survivor right now but that build 42 update for Project zomboid finally dropped yesterday so its going to take a bit to finish survivor again. Played alot of Project zomboid off and on through the year along with Dayz with some friends.A bit of No mans sky here and there. Loved everyone of those games as well, you can be picky and still play nothing but amazing games
on behalf of all proper minded individuals with no dei infatuations: thank you novemberhotel, for being a fucking real youtuber at least with putting out REAL content! looking forward to more vids.

My favorite artwork in the form of videogames... Battle Brothers ...tis a true work of art, crafted masterfully with grand skill & passion, filled with actual life & soul from the devs at Overhype... With keen, excellent writing honed by an expert that creates & expands the 'experience-r' into the world that Battle Brothers is set; one sets out to the great many avenues of tactics that are employable within a very satisfying turn-based combat system; played out to the very pretty painterly-brushwork art style; with soundly awesome use of individual character backgrounds & unique traits, all aid to create deep personal attachment to each man hired, & with endless replayability via all the randomization & procedural generation, every new world created & origin started with offers forth a new storyline every single time -- all rounded off with an outright EPIC score of the music that is right up there with other legendary scores such as Halo or Dying Light... It is a sandbox RPG, tactical turn based build-a-Mercenary Company, set in a low fantasy world that is very dangerous, a grim world of untamed wilderness; awaiting for one to brave its frontiers so as to carve out & endure through the thrilling & many dangerous challenges to be met. It is an assuredly supreme experience: simple to learn, very harder to master, infinitely fun... The early game is easily one of the most exciting, albeit highly challenging, experience for a gamer to embark upon. Battle Brothers is wrought with difficulty in an equally unforgiving world; a notably hardcore & tough time awaits; which thus makes an extremely rewarding time to be had - when things go well & great loot is obtained... There is little more satisfying than successfully coming out of a seemingly doomed fight, esp when great gear, perhaps even a famed item, is picked up from amongst the dead all around ... All aspects, mechanics, & available options in the game support the intention & vision the devs created without fail. (None of that "Ludo-dissonance stuff!) It is a rich game world, with grand possibilities sitting on an experience of utter wonder. Here gathers a community where DLC are so very fervently wished for-, where the players are most desirable to spend more money on further expansions of this game, to support the devs! The new music that comes with each DLC, most namely the Warriors of the North, is totally fantastic... In the Name of The Old Gods... The beating sounds of the drums & more is utter perfection when ones band rallies round' in a snowy tundra, facing down a horde of barbarians, clad in their fur armor, baring their teeth and wild weaponry... Having also spawned a beyond solid modding community, wherein hard work has pushed the scope of the game further into the immense potential Battle Brothers provides basis for. (The Legends mod alone ought have a review of its own!) Alright, I think my view is clear, aha... I could write / talk about Battle Brothers endlessly, if that wasn't obvious. -- Last Personal Notes / Conclusions-- The devs behind Battle Brothers are soon to be releasing their new game, MENACE, which I am obviously extremely keen for; especially in a time where allowance for "hype" toward new games has been stubbed out, so as to not have further disappointment...but I have allowed MENACE to be the exception, for I have strong belief in Overhype Studios to deliver a true game, a work of art, and NOT some soulless-corporate-service-time-consumer-BS... Anyways... If you couldn't tell, I quite seriously love Battle Brothers, and come back to play it over, and over, and... Oncemore, I digress. Battle Brothers is a genuine videogame; an actual work of ART, with soul, and beauty. Personally, it is THE game I'd dreamt of as a kid. Tis the perfect everything, and is definitely my #1 game for the rest of my time spent in this reality. A videogame, a real one, is a special thing. It holds the ability to blend the wonders of books and stories with the visuals of cinema, clasped together with an interactive buckle for a person to extend their own touch into it, which makes for a far more integrated & memorable experience.
Hmmm always had my eye on Valheim but never actually tried it,this definitely makes me want to check it out more now but I have a feeling its rough solo
Chain dive on ps2 Darktide Lost planet 2 Lost planet colonies Other then space marine 2 that was alright I probably did not like a single game this year
I just didnt feel the difficulty spike in Erdtree, maybe its because I always do everything in game so I was well leveled going into it but to me it felt on par with the rest of the game,I didnt have some need to beat Radahn with a special build just heard what worked well and went with it,well that blacksteel greatsheild at least. It was definitely hard but Elden ring is tough so it felt pretty normal for me. That said im playing Jedi survivor right now and my god it has some of the most unfair bullshit ive seen in my life. The damage scaling at grandmaster is so fucked,im probably about 75% through ,doing everything I can to boost my health and then fought the rancor and he still one shot me with probably 80% of his moves, imagine if anytime ya got hit by a dragon in elden ring it was instant death. I had more one shot deaths in a single boss fight in that game then I did playing through ds1,2,3 and elden ring combined, the story bosses are balanced but side stuff is so unbalanced its insane, outside of that the game is much easier than a souls game so its so jarring. All grab attacks = instant death, small chickens can one shot you as well, enemies will do 4 unblockable moves in a row with no real way to punish them outside of a risky precison dodge thatll get ya hit trying to capitalize on it.I love these games but the difficulty is cheap as hell at times

Palworld and Helldivers rekindled my love for video games after the last 4 years were full of the most dogshit interactive movie “games” besides the Dead Space remake
DD2 is pure ass bro. Most disappointing game of all time that I’ve ever played. Even surpassing ff15 and ff16 for me. Genuinely shocked how they decided “let’s take all the good from DD1,remove all of that, and make worse all the bad things from it”
Frostpunk, Arkham quadrilogy, Terminator Resistance. Honestly, great games and the visuals still hold up well to this day and the gameplay is amazing.
Ah, a fellow Captain. What fucked up choices did you make in your run?
1:58 I love how the game is stuttering like a maafaka while he's talking about fluidity lmao

Played RDR2, Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, and Mafia for the first time this year. I feel stupid for not playing them sooner.
Don't feel dumb, be happy that you experienced them. If you want another great series try out the Metro games.
For me, my favourite game of the year would be Astro Bot. Loved every moment of it, while it may not do anything new, everything it does has been refined to perfection. I had the biggest smile on my face while playing - so much joy in one game. I miss platformers like this.
