I remember fighting Altair so many times just to hear that majorly badass theme
to be honest I didn't find out about this one until 2 years ago. Once I did, I instantly picked up the game and replayed it. Bomberman 64 was one of my favorite N64 games of all time, of all time.
@KevinLieber Now that you mention it, that reminds me of when I was really little and used to do stupid videos with friends. I could never think of how to end them, so I would just end it with somebody getting killed...it just seems to work, haha.

Man, all these years... the golden cards... my childhood... woah.
Don't know why i like this one the most out of all the bomberman games

You know... It took me forever to learn that you can make giant bombs by pressing A rapidly....
What? There was a true final battle and true ending in Bomberman 64?! And what I have to do to get there is to collect all gold cards?! I thought those gold cards were just collectibles to unlock more costumes for your Bomberman in multiplayer! First off, those gold cards are really hard to find.
Secondly, all the levels can be very big and so many things to blow up and to explore. And thirdly, the bosses themselves have gold cards and you have to do specific different actions on them for them to drop the cards and the bosses are really hard to fight. I was a kid back when I played this game and beat it normally, now I want this game back to truly finish this game. I've beaten Bomberman Hero and discovered the true ending and true boss fight and it was epic after getting all fives on every stage, now this fun cryptic game is next. Hopefully this game gets added on the Wii store, this game is awesome.

Most people who don't play videogames just assume we kill monsters and play random and pointlessly half the time....but some games are so much more than that, like Bomberman

@PeanutButterGamer My Mom found this game on eBay about 6 months ago and knew I didn't have it. She bought it for me immediately because she remembers me renting it and liking it when I was just a kid. Thanks for bringing back a little more nostalgia!

This game was made before the HP books were released. The first one released the same year as this game but the character Sirius black had not been mentioned and would not be for atleast 2 years. So if anything, HP would be a reference to this. But i highly doubt it.

@Pipoca19 Both Sirius and Regulus, as well as some of the other names in Bomberman 64 are named after stars. Same goes for some characters in the Harry Potter series.
I remember that second ending, but the only reason I got to see it was because the used copy of Bomberman 64 I have already had a save file with all the gold cards found (except the cards on the rainbow fortress). Doing it myself proved damn near impossible, because they certainly don't hand those cards out on gilded, silver plates by a sarcastic butler named Geoffrey.

@JacksonCrown Probably THE best. Second Attack was cool too though. Actually, I also liked Bomberman Hero, though it's been a while. I guess the N64 was the peak of Bomberman.
Also, I kinda like one of Sirius's lines during round 1 of the final fight with him.

Does anyone else notice that: Altaïr is the name of the main character of assassins creed 1, it even has the same accent; Sirius is the name of a star and more importantly, a Harry potter character, and regulus was the BROTHER of fore-mentioned Sirius black
I never knew about the secret level/ending until last year. I had always wondered why Sirius was so dark, and why he bad-mouthed you for defeating Altair (not to mention why Altair is suddenly gone in the sequal).

"Well done, Gamer. Unfortunately you didn't collect all the useless cards, so I won't give you the secret ending. Now get off my lawn... planet."
Very, but I'm hopeful that season 4 will deliver. It's 26 episodes long, and they will have PLENTY material to work with now.
I think that's enough references for two weeks. Time to attempt to seamlessly fuse the real world and the internet together.

I always loved bomberman even if it made me so angry as a kid I got headaches. That is only something's bomberman could do and also. That game was hard!

Bomberman Hero on the 64 is similar. You have to get all perfect Scores on every level(which becomes insanley difficult on later levels)and then you get the last true planet and get all perfect scores there to fight the true last boss.
Noticing similarities is all fine and good, the issue comes when people claim that one thing is a reference to another, when being such is utterly implausible, or impossible.
How is it repulsive? I doubt you have ever even seen any episodes.
And PBG, just because of this video I had to get bomberman 64 and I wasn't disapointed :D

Toughest game for the 64 that I've played. The ways that they want you to get those gold cards are ridiculous.
But I love it. The Miniboss characters are memorable to me for being pains in the asses that took strategy and wits to beat. That, and they looked pretty badass.
This is the best Bomberman game that Hudson Soft ever made.

Actually Sirius is the name of the brightest star in the sky, of which is located within the constellation Canis Major (Literally meaning "Great dog.") Regulus is The brightest star located within the constellation Leo. each character (other than bomberman) is named after a different star or constellation. (Altair, Artemis, Orion, Regulus, and sirius.) Coincedentally, Sirius Black was also named after the star Sirius. And Regulus Black, his relative, was also named after a star of the same name.
