There are framelines for 135 pano in camera and also in the external viewfinders for the 43mm and 50mm lenses. They're the short stubby lines on both sides, top and bottom.
Police: Sir, why do you have a person in your trunk. AGAIN Chris: yeah, youtube intro...i guess. 🤷♂️ Police: ok Chris: ok Police: ok, you are arrested. 😂
This was such a helpful video! I’m an Xpan owner, but have always felt limited by the 45mm f/4’s speed. It’s really closer to f/5.6 with the center filter on, which I leave on all the time. It ends up being a roughly 25mm f/3 in 35mm equivalent. What I want to do is use the Mamiya 7 system with their 43mm lens. It’s equivalent to a 21mm f/2.2, which is both wider and faster (by a stop!) than the Xpan 45mm with center filter. Plus, minimal vignetting as you mention. Would love to do a temporary trade with someone who owns a Mamiya 7 + 35mm kit and ideally the 43mm f/4.5 in exchange for the Xpan for a few months :) A guy can dream…
You should pickup a Lil plastic chip to replace the coin so that you don't scratch your gear plus you can get it on a clip so you can have it attached to your keys
if there's already a guide in the viewfinder for framing, and if you end up scanning the negatives anyway, isn't it better to just use 120 film & crop the scanned file?
just converted (to 24x65) my newly acquired 💯 years old 6x9 folding camera and shot a roll of expired colour - will see what I get - it required only bit of cleaning and works perfectly- costed me €15.
Which TH-camr will I find in a trunk next?
Casey :)
William verbeek 👌
It’s true. He’s always in my trunk.
someone should help Gene.

nice vid. quick tip: the two small notches on the left & right of the viewfinder assist with framing with the pano adapter.
oh dang! thank you for the tip!!
OHMAHGAWD that shot of the Porsche and Mercedes at 3:08 is sooo good! This kit is dope
The laugh after the "ok" at the beginning was wholesome

Awesome video!
What lens did you use?
7ii has the framelines i'm sure for the pano.
It does. And with the external finders for the 50mm and 43mm lenses.
Yo, more videos like that! i love your work dude , cheers from Argentina
much appreciated!
Looping forwart to that book
Hi Chris,
I’m thinking to buy a Mamiya 7, I just have one question how are you framing your shots with kit?
Try to tint shift the images in Lightroom. Some scanners give the excessive green hue to photos and I realised simply adding purple corrects this
日系相机 拍出来的照片 真的好暖。很棒的 照片
You should pickup a Lil plastic chip to replace the coin so that you don't scratch your gear plus you can get it on a clip so you can have it attached to your keys
I just might have to
@@whoschrischu also another alternative could just be using a card I tend to use use my uni ID which is scratched up because of this but always useful
how does framing and focusing work in the mamiya 7 range finder?
if there's already a guide in the viewfinder for framing, and if you end up scanning the negatives anyway, isn't it better to just use 120 film & crop the scanned file?
17/18 shots with a 36 roll of 135 film vs 10 with a 120 roll for pretty much the same price.
5:01 sickkkkkkkk
Where to buy this ?
the great land of eBay
What film are you using?
Portra 400 + HP5
So take a higher resolution photo and then crop it. For a kit that’s $600, got it
