The petals on different layers add the most to the 3d effect. Also, a rare treat to have Jazza paint a pretty boy, instead of a grizzled viking or musclebound barbarian xD
Very nice! A suggestion, maybe making the background panes bigger so the effect of moving doesn't show where the painting ends? Still very nice, would love to see these in person.
Holy moly! I'd never even considered it being executed with this particular art style. I usually end up thinking about animation with the layering, thank you so much for sharing this!
I have stumbled upon Jazza pretty recently and I must say I am addicted now to his videos. They are so creative, well cut, funny and he is damn good artist. I adore him as a human. He really lights up my mood. Also after seeing his video about starting is petreon, where he showed himself vulnerable and thanked his community. I must add to this. He is absolutely right. So thank you to everyone on sharing there thoughts in the comment section in a very respectful way. ❤
I’m in love with the design and the final look!!!! I do want to mention that the windows remind me more of gothic windows than renaissance which feels fitting for the entire scene. Also, a suggestion for Jazza you have to try book structures as a form of art!!! (One of the simplest and something that I believe will be of interest to you is a type of book form called a dragon book)
Quick tip with the stars, rather than hand painting them all, an old tootbrush is great to flick loads of small random dots everywhere. Perfect for stars and much faster!
This is what Live2D wants to be. Amazing job Jazza, really, I am taken abakc by how amazing this looks... the parallax is just perfect! The subtle depth to the character? The background? The damn foreground? Oh and the WINDOWS... I love you and your creations. Sometimes goofy, sometimes cool, cometimes education and sometimes just... breathtaking.
Goodtimeswithscar entered the building with his super fast build mode woop woop! As the season has finished it would be awesome if jazza painted scarland and the castle😮
I love your work, the 3D effect is so cool! I have a random idea that might not actually work, but maybe you could incorporate electronics into this. You could add some glowing lights in between some of the background layers and you could make smaller pieces of acrylic for clouds or other objects that could be moving with some motors. Maybe the bottom where the acrylic is standing could be a pcb (circuit board). Sorry, I’m an engineer, I can’t help it 😅. You could even have the piece interact differently when people are looking at it by changing the lights or something!
Here is a tip/trick for you to try next time, if the acrilic is a bit thick you can further enhace this effect by painting some details in the back of the acrilic and some on the front, and as you continue to build layer upon layer believe me that this will help to create something unique as light and shadow dance together to create an ilusion.
Have you ever had a gallery showing of your art? I think you should think about doing a show as I know many people would love to see your artwork in person. You have such talent and I love watching you progress and grow as an artist 🧑🎨. Just amazing 🙂🇬🇧
Another super cool one Jazza! Have you thought of experimenting with impasto? Adding impasto to the sheets might add a lot of depth. I'd also love to see how far you can take impasto painting. Ps: if you ever want to up the challenge on these acrylic layer pieces, try painting it on the back side of the acrylic to show the image on the clean side. 😁
hmm, because a pane of glass has some thickness to it, you could even paint the front and back of one glass piece as two different layers, distanced a tiny bit. That might not show up well on video, though
I just LOVE when you do 3D paintings. I hope you do so so many more. With this one I'd love to see it with the acrylic sheets spaced just a tiny bit closer together!
hey jazza for next time when you do an acrylic painting, try painting the acrylic from the back and using black lines around the character to achieve a cartoony/anime effect with your characters. A good example is the works from Seethrough Scenes on TH-cam.
That is super cool! Thought the final result makes me want to see another piece like this done, but the parts in the background be painted on larger sheets. As the forward most sheets appear much bigger and the background shrinks to the point where the foreground sides and top have no background. If the sheets went from large to small no part of the picture would lose out on that wonderful background.
I don’t play it but, i’m so happy my fave seiyuu Aimi is part of such a popular franchise as Serval ^^ she deserves to be known more in the world, cause she’s amazing as a VA and Singer !
That is so beautiful, my jaw hit the floor in the final result. I love the layers and how you put the hair and that bit of fabric behind! It is just incredible.
Looks so cool.... I sear, you keep outdoign yourself EVERY time, every single time. Just a great finished end product and awesome effort building up to it. Well done :)
Lookinf forward to the result. Also wanted to say that GoodTimesWithScar's choice timelapse music for his minecraft videos plays at 7:30 and it is always a great tune to listen to :D
I would like to see a revisit of this 3d painting and make the background bigger and smaller foreground so the bg image is not cut when rotating the piece. i dont know if this going to work though.
WOW this is so cool and the illusion is amazing! I If u could put a frame to hold all the layers of acrylic. But the work put into this still must've took so long, Great work!
@@tigger5223you a shill for that dudes channel or what? You keep commenting this over and over, on threads that have nothing to do with the background music. For someone who reads through the comments and sees just how many times you've copy and pasted your response, the subversive advertising is not endearing, rather it comes across as kind of gross.
Absolutely gorgeous! I think it would be awesome if you could make an 8 panel painting (like this) of an ocean scene. For example.. the colors of the sky on the last panel, then the next 2 panels distant waves and clouds moving towards you, the next panel be larger waves , the next panel being your cresting main wave, the next panel being where the ocean comes into the land, and the final 2 panels be the sand and all the details between you and the water.
First off, awesome piece Jazza! That last layer really made things pop in a way I didn’t expect it to! I’ll help Jazza out and say I just got through Ch1 of Honkai Star Rail and it was freaking awesome! Even the EN cast killed it and I’m not typically someone to leave their game in EN.
When you look at it up close from the front, the panel most forward ends up looking way bigger than the one in the back so I think for a better effect to not make the background just look like a tiny square with so much clear space around it, that you should do a size difference so that the back pane is the largest and it gets gradually smaller as you go forward.
I would love to see Jazza attempt to make a 3D painting with a bunch more layers. He loves to go all out so why not see if he can make something even crazier
Just a little tip for the reflections : use polarising filters : one horinzontal on your camera and one vertical on your lights. You'll hide moste of the reflections on the acrylics!
You should make one in a box so you can incorporate lights into the design and you can make the open side of the box look like a window so it’s a literal window into another world.
Have you ever thought of doing a painting backwards on glass? Where you would start with your foreground and your highlights and work backwards to your back ground so that when viewed through the glass is a perfect painting protected by glass and the back of the glass looks like only the back ground, if that makes sense
I just want to say that I really appreciate how non-intrusive the Patreon listings are. Us viewers can still clearly see what you're doing and your supporters get credited. A good balance.
Oh my gosh!! @GoodtimeswithScar's super fast build mode music at 7:36! That makes me think Jazza should create a beautiful Minecraft world! BDubs could give him some tips for painterly landscapes in Minecraft!
This was a beautiful 3d art piece and I wonder what you could do with the art prompt of sailor moon using either the silver crystal or all the scouts/senshi using their attacks. So there would be light coming from them. Well anyway like I said this art work is beautiful and if I had space I would try to commission you for an art piece.
I love this!! 😍 Amazing job! There are so many scenes from movies you could do! Like a series then put them on display in an art exhibition with moody light effects! Yeah im dreaming but hey 🤣 love this!
This was such a cool project!! I'm also shocked that the game itself is free to play?? From the screengrabs in the video it seems like such a high quality game!!
I think it would be interesting to have the back pieces bigger than the front pieces so when you look in them and move around, it all stays in the scene. You could somehow block off the sides.
Feels like it's to much of the distance between the layers. Or this space should be filled with additional layers, with added slightly foggy or blurry texture to cover the background. Also perspective makes foreground layers look bigger wich leads to empty corners, so each new layer should be smaller than previous
I did a similar thing but with digital art. Using clip studio paint for the drawings and blender for the lighting and layers. It was really sick for a quick test. Took 3 days to render though
OMG ! It's amazing ! YOU are amazing ! I wish you an excellent holiday season! Happiness, joy and success, for you and your loved ones! My apologies for my broken English.. Kisses from France

If the background layers were bigger than the front layers, so you cannot see the back layer edges due to perspective, the immersion might be deeper
Go smaller with each panel could create a cool effect. Good idea
