@Tombou Actually sound selection is much like casting in the film industry. No matter how good your script is, the movie would probably be "meh" if you choose bad actors. Kind of a wasted potential.
So get yourself an instrument range chart, so you can learn the place of each instrument on the frequency spectrum and the role of different frequency ranges. It's basically like in cinema, you cannot have 2 main characters in the same movie, it would be confusing.
So, Some frequency ranges for example :
📳Sub-bass (31-63 Hz) = rumble/weight/thump/floor/chest (heavy 808s, noise inside a flying plane, acoustic pressure, hum, etc.)
      ~ C1 to B1🎹
      🎸🌡️Bass (63-250 Hz) = punch/energy/warmth/boominess (bass guitar "meat", kick, 808's tone, etc.)
      ~ C2 to B3🎹
🚿Low medium frequencies (250-500 Hz) = fullness/room/box/ambience/muddiness (pads, chords, wet reverb signal, snare "meat", etc.)
      ~ C4 to B4🎹
📞📻Medium frequencies (500-2000 Hz) = honk/radio-ish sound/metallic sound (telephone effect, snare whack, chimes, melody, countermelody, nose, vowels, etc.)
      ~ C5 to B6🎹
⚡High medium frequencies (2-8 KHz) = crunch/bite/edge/attack/spike/ssssssibilance/definition/presence/harshness (shakers, snare bite, cymbals and hihats, consonants, treble, etc)
      ~ C7 to B8🎹
☀️🌬️High frequencies (8-20 KHz) = Pierce/air/hiss/treble/definition/sssssibilance/harshness/brightness (sweet background noise for Lori and chillout, etc.)
      ~ C9 to B10🎹
Please, feel free to correct me where I might be wrong.
