Thanks for the video Warren. Changed lots of VP30 Bosch injection pumps on that 1106 Perkins engine used in a Massey Ferguson 6480. Which idiot thought of mounting a water pump using very long bolts through a cast water pump through an aluminium timing cover into a cast block, those bolts can be big pain the the ass with engines with high hours. Only ever had one the studs came out of and damaged the threads in the timing cover from factory repaired using wurth thread inserts because tractor was out of warranty. 9.5 mm drill bit works great for a timing pin 👍 Regards, Luke 🏴
Those Bosch VP30 injector pumps don’t last all that long but some of the time it just needs the top cover opened and wires checked for chaffing and shorting, causing revs to fluctuate and periodically die. They fit these electronically governed mechanical pumps to lots of tier2 engines, Perkins, Deere, CNH, Sisu/AGCOpower and a Japanese version is even fitted to my 1998 Land Cruiser 4.2 diesel.
Thanks for another Great Video, Warren. It doesn’t look like they gave you any extra room. I wonder why they don’t design equipment to be serviced and live a long life.
The problem is you didn’t call Caterpillar Tech support from India, should of had a satilite dish linked up to service data with blue prints on a tripod billboard with A-I voice assistant, fresh caterpillar paint, but most of all you should of called the FaceBook experts.
Fiddle, finagle, cuss, ruminate, and a load of brain storming the situation, and bedaubing, Bobs your uncle. Nice job sir, enjoyed watching. Josie is a sweetie, like seeing her.
Those engines ain't bad you have to use valve overlap to reference cam timing and the fuel pump has a timing pin hole in it. But like any British design you gotta pull the front cover to get all the bolts out for the pump
Great video Warren really enjoy watching you work on this piece of equipment. It's always fun when they basically vibrate themselves apart. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Warren.
Warren, you done well with what you had as you said, your a tough guy Warren, you do very well,I even benefit from you. I had to express this to you, see ya on the next.
Another day, another puzzle. These machines are designed for ease of manufacturing not repair or maintenance. The longer the service work takes, the better in their eyes. Their shop rate is astronomical, it's the old " We are Caterpillar and You're Not.". Best Wishes to You and Your Family Warren.
To the viewers of the man working: If you haven’t seen, Warren is an expert on then taste of all oil and grease lubricants! 😂 Warren I do not know how can hold bolts etc in your mouth. He puts his all into his work. How many of you be able to do what he Does-just in the physical labor part. He gets it done!
Working on the exact same thing right now. I am changing the front structure because they ran it for so long loose it damaged the aluminum structure and the pump housing.
Great video Warren, thx for sharing. Your always getting in a tight spot . Lol. Safe travels .some jobs are a bitch .but we appreciate all that you do🎉🎉
From someone who doesn’t use gloves, do you find you have to grip your tools/spanners harder increasing the chance of carpal tunnel, or they actually help hold the tool better.
Question Warren. Do you prefer injection pump engines like that Stanadyne or do you prefer common rail engines? I like the old injection pump style myself.
what a pos.. Build back better with Cat and Joe😅😂 oh can't forget about paccar. Thanks Warren It's like bowling with your shoe laces tied together. Thanks for sharing.
What type of camera du you use Warren? Anyway thanks for sheering with us. Here in the south of Norway it been snowing the whole night, big rigs are laying down all over the place .......
What the heck is wrong with the engineers who design this stuff. I don’t know why they think that it’s never going to go bad and someone like you will have to take it apart
Love all your videos--check every day for new ones. For some reason I have to re-subcribe about every week. Do you have someone at you-tube that a hard on for you? KEEP TALKING- AGREE WITH YOU
Hey Warren, it seems like you’d be able to fix about anything I have a 2011 Ford F250 I replaced the gas kits on the oil cooler and now I have an air pocket in my coolant. I was wondering if you have a procedure how to get rid of it or anybody else in a comments that had experienced something like that beforeappreciate it. Have a good day.
Hey man if taking time off this summer come to Canada I get all set up for walleye fishing and we go out to back forty and shoot thousands of gophers they taking over the farm
Have a good day Warren. Thanks for the video.

i hope you charge enough money for the jobs you do. nobody else would do them. you da man!!
Morning,Warren. Kindest regards 🇨🇦🇨🇦
The Caterpillar 3056 is actually a Perkins engine, its the same as a Sabre m215 Perkins.
👍👍 thanks for the upload man.... hope you can enjoy your weekend a little...see ya next time 👍👊
I have to ask, is this a Perkins 6-354? I used to rebuild them back in the 1980s. Brings back memories.
Cheers 👍
Congrats Warren on your 120k 👍 subscriber's, just out curiosity what breed is your new pup and name ? Thank you for the video always.👍

Nice going Warren on that pain in the ass job tks for sharing😊
Working on the exact same thing right now. I am changing the front structure because they ran it for so long loose it damaged the aluminum structure and the pump housing.
Listen to those birds...spring time!!!
use a harbor freight cheap wratcheting wrence... heat it up with a torch... and bend it to fit under the injector housing.
Thanks for sharing.
Great video Warren, thx for sharing. Your always getting in a tight spot . Lol. Safe travels .some jobs are a bitch .but we appreciate all that you do🎉🎉
I'd guess that whoever changed the pump hasn't heard of loc-tite, or a torque wrench
What a friggin bear. Great job
Thank you.
is that your truck running in the background? what else was running sounds like a grader or bulldozer through my headphones
Great video thanks for sharing
Warren they use the computers to design all this stuff so it is as hard as possible to work on ". Hang in there got your 6

Question Warren. Do you prefer injection pump engines like that Stanadyne or do you prefer common rail engines? I like the old injection pump style myself.
we would use a curved 13 MM wrench to get that bottom bolt on the injector sir...
Hey Warren, is there nothing you can’t fix! Not very familiar with it but you tackle it head on. Great job. Thanks for sharing your video.
what a pos.. Build back better with Cat and Joe😅😂 oh can't forget about paccar. Thanks Warren

You da man!!
What are the song birds in your area Warren? Nice to hear them when you was working
They look like pretty tuff gloves. I see you wareing the same kind all the time. What brand and where do you get them??
Gloveworks. Napa for me
Their quality has gone to shit went through a half a box trying to get a good glove they would rip as soon as you put them on
We saw these engines run 12,000 hours in booster pump applications.
Good times !!!
What type of camera du you use Warren? Anyway thanks for sheering with us. Here in the south of Norway it been snowing the whole night, big rigs are laying down all over the place .......
Did you lock tite bolts

Warren looking for the last video of the inframe of the 3304 cat engine is it out?
Got er done. 😊
👍🖖
Warren, that engine is certainly a challenge to work on. Is it a Perkins Cat design?
All that god damn block and they shove the injection pump and hydraulic pump right together ,

Could you have gotten a long extension and swivel socket in from the back side on that bottom bolt?
You think he was thinking that at the time? SMMH! Make a video of you doing something so I critique you
@@George-dy3pt Happens all the time! Don't think of something like that, get called out on it, and it makes me think harder the next time!
That is a Perkins engine by the look of it Warren .
The perkins badge is on it😂😂😂😂😂wow
👍
Why do they call them banjo bolts
Would anyone know how to clear hitch codes on a mccormick cx90 4x4 tractor?
På pumpa. Skal det være en bolt å løsne og skyve en skive til siden. Da er den låst og vil ikke rotere
😉😉😉😉
look mah no hands!! tadaah!!
Lange bolter på vannpumpa trenger loctite lekkasje guffe. Da det er borret gjennom og inn i kjølekanaler
Hey man if taking time off this summer come to Canada I get all set up for walleye fishing and we go out to back forty and shoot thousands of gophers they taking over the farm
I figured I’d try one more time. Does anybody know The best place where to get cam and lifters for 8.2 L Detroit
The only good stud is a horse.
Glad he finally started to ware gloves! Save his hands and the body from the absorbing of oils/chemicals into hands/body!
