I'm a computer guy but I have a teenage son who is graduating this spring from a heavy diesel program at the local career center and hearing your explanation of how the relief valve was failing made a lot of sense and was something my son was learning about on the Cummins ISX when they were learning about the common rail fuel system. It's neat to see his excitement as he prepares to enter the workforce and watching your videos gives me a little glimpse into what his future career might entail. Thank you!
Hey Warren, I know you get *issed off a lot on how much work you put into these videos and a lot of jerks giving you feedback. what you've done for me if push me to tackle shit I wouldn't normally tackle. I see what you ( a one-man show) are capable of doing and I think well, if Warren can do it then I can certainly give it a go. Not only mechanical stuff but literally everyday stuff. Here's an example, I had a plumber give me a quote of $1,000.00 to do some work, labor only. Watching what you do made me give it a try, and sure enough in a few hours I did it and it came out perfect. That put $1,000.00 in my pocket. So when this crap gets you down brother think of all the people that you are helping without knowing who fo what you're helping them with. I'll bet there are a lot more guys out there like me watching what you do as inspiration for a lot of different jobs.
You might not think it is much of a video, but it is both impressive and entertaining to see how, after just a few minutes of diagnosis, you are on top of the problem and then explain how that system works and fails.
Hey Warren, I’m still subscribed! And you are a good bastard! Hahaha. Hope you’re staying warm this week, I see the weather in Oregon has been atrocious this week. Thanks much for the video. Have a good one my friend.
I'm really glad you posted this. I've done this same repair on a number of 4045s. I believe it is related to a little short SCV they used to use. It updates to a much larger one. So I replace the SCV and the rail relief at the same time. Most of the time they don't start at all but can get them to go with a tiny bit of "go juice". One I had started just fine and we didn't know anything was wrong until we did a load test and would not get full power. At that point I noticed the tube coming off the relief was red hot all the time it was running. I did the same tests as you here to confirm it was busted. Information very sparse on this stuff and small parts scary expensive. I thought I was the only one.
I came to the comments to say almost this very thing! Always put the updated SCV in if the application allows. And for God sakes if the rail pressure code is what you were chasing, replace the relief as well!
What a wonderful slushie day it is!! Great to see you bright and bushy-tailed working away in crappy weather like that!! Hopefully the clutch job went okay? I take it the Dogs stayed home where it was warm!!
Haven't been through that area (395) in a decade plus, but I went through 299 passing Burney, fall river mills on my way to my buddies place past Canby many times. Although it's has been 2 years now. Big sky country.
Warren I appreciate the time you take to record and post these videos, as an electronic technician these videos are educational and fascinating. Burnt up connectors make things interesting. Take care good Sir.
Nearly 1:30 a.m. here in frozen michigan, but glad to see ya Warren. Noticed the spectacles right off, getting old kinda sucks, cuz ya can't see, your bones ache, and the cold and wet conditions aren't what they were at 25. All you can do is keep on going, and getting thing's done. G-d bless you and yours.
Hello Warren. I'm still subscribed has far as I know and will stay that way. We do a similar job to you. So we get what you are on about. We really enjoy your content. We hope you are getting something out of this, because we think you deserve it. It must be hard sometimes doing what you do.
Hi Warren, Fantastic job again, don’t know how you do it, all conditions and the travel too. Can I ask how do you charge for your travel and time travelling, did you say hour and a half each way on this job? All the best, Dave.
Hey Warren, if more people had your work ethic we wouldn't have any lazy people in this world. I am a retired Robot Tech and I cant tell you how many times I said your have to address the problem directly. tks for sharing !!

1/17/24..just watched 2day's 15min video on big JD tractor with fuel problem as analyzed by you. Always love to hear your down-to-earth commentary on wide variety of subjects but always linked to problem at hand. Big laugh when you said.." hey if u liked this kind of video, give me a 👍, if not tell me in comments that i am a no good Bastard"..😅 well Warren i am a Subscriber, love your videos & hey, yea, i will (teasingly) call you⚡️ a no good SOB! 🎉🍺🤠 Love yur channel, love your work ethic/attitude & 'get-it-done' determination! I am 78, retired, in good health, do lots of residential 'fix-up' stuff including property maintenance using Kabota L2900, my own (little JD S240) for grass, my 2 chain saws for trees/branches + a ton of creative projects (design/painting etc) with my younger grand kids. So i get motivation from watching you & your talking ( stream-of-consciousness) & laughing out loud when you say, hey if u dont like what i do, 'just holler-out, Warren, u are a big fat Bastard' !! Big LOL Warren! Love your work & fact that you are offering training to other guys watching/learning from your 'real world' on-t-job activities. You & YT make a good team! So stay safe & carry on!👍🛠⚙️🔧💪🍺😊
Thanks Warren for bringing us along. I enjoyed the video. You’re right about notifications. I don’t always get them either. What a miserable day to be out and about.
Great video but can you do a short video of it starting after replacing the part. Something about seeing something run after fixing it always feels good!
Warren, you're simply the best. Yes, YT has a bad tendency of unsubing many viewers, I double check every time I watch your video's and I watch them all the way to the end. I'm either learning something from you or I'm getting a refresher of something I've forgotten. Thank you for sharing your video's and your skill. Cheers :)
Appreciate you taking us along on the field calls. Hard enough working outside in the cold weather but filming as well for our benefit. ( those mechanical gloves seem to make my fingers so much colder than other gloves, do you find that as well?)🚜🇨🇦
One of your best videos repairs. Probably could have saved me thousands on dealer misdiagnosed repairs if you could have given a example years ago. Thanks stay strong
Warren, when you talk we either learn or laugh. I just love your work ethic and take on life. You wouldn't make a great Social Worker and that's what I love about you. Please keep the videos coming. Thank you from London UK.

You should just leave the camera run on more of your driving out there. Don’t even have to talk during it. Those sort of “slow tv” videos are big on YT anyway so you could even just post the drive as a separate video and get views off it.
