You can tell the difference between iOS 6.0.x and 6.1.x via double-pressing the home button and seeing what music UI it comes up with. If it shows the time, it is iOS 6.0.x; otherwise, it is 6.1.x.

@@LightningCat124 You can also identify via the recovery mode logo, as if it has the white music note, then it is iOS 6.1.x, however, if it has the black music logo, then it is iOS 6.0.x.

My ipad 4 was giving error code 9 it took several days for me to finally to get it to accept a ipsw because I knew for a fact that the nand wasnt dead I had just booted ios 6.0 using nightshade a month ago it turns out nightshade was causing the issues at the firmware level
