@@BraulioHernandez-sj6cv I don't think it's just the mechanical sounds alone is what makes hathaway more realistic than other gundam series. Just like all of the mobile suit in gundam Ms8th Team the mobile suit moves much slower due to its size and weight making it more realistic especially on earth when there is gravity involved

Definitely sold by the few shots we get where it hesitates long enough for us to see the 'misses' impact the city below. Real easy to forget that a 'machine gun' for a mobile suit would be loaded with ammunition used in tanks and smaller warships.
This battle scene is actually surprisingly faithful to the original novel. Although the original author, Yoshiyuki Tomino, was not involved in this film, If it were not for the budget and time constraints, he would have wanted to depict the mobile suit battles in this way. Part of this has been realized in "Char's Counterattack" and "F91.
1:59 I really love the attention of detail with the suit landing and launching with the surrounding area catching on fire not only that on 4:08 you see the trees tops also catch on fire from the beam rifle.
the general scene setup is brilliant 1. the initial low altitude trip to prevent radar detaction, then acended to a high altitude depolyment when its at the war zone 2. feint attack to draw defensive force to another location, though responded by the local defence rather quickly 3. Gawman being cocky, expected the local defence to be incompetent as before and stayed too long, despite the quick counter attack eariler hinting the new commander was no joke. 4. One of the best action scene in the series. The music and sound are great and I do love mech anime where they look more like machine then magical beast.
The only problem I found with the film was that they made the night too dark, in the trailers it was clearer, you could differentiate things and see quite well. I did the comparisons of the scenes with the trailer and it's a fact that they darkened the night scenes more than they already were. And it's much more noticeable in the fight of the RX-105 Gundam against RX-104 Penelope.
