overall, this is a really great video, but there is one little tiny problem, and it has to do with the fact that the lunar guardian skills are effectively useless until you kill the lunar champion which means for most people the two skills don’t work until you’ve killed one of the final bosses, which is a huge problem for most people. (this also applies to Wolfgang mighty branch of the skill tree but it isn’t as big as a problem because Wolfgang is the combat character so it makes sense for him to do more damage even if that damage doesn’t apply until you kill one of the final bosses)
@@zEr-ne5ri honestly if you want to you can always just turn rifts on prematurely. That's what I usually have done since the rifts came out and I was on new worlds

For my wormwood I picked bee kind to have beehives nearby and also planted monkey tails so that I could create honey poultice for healing. It doesn’t even bother me that wormwood can’t heal with food.
My immediate thought was planting monkey tail too once I found out about honey poultice. I didn’t pick bee kind though. Heck, I didn’t even build bee boxes. Instead, I just went to bee hell and bramble husked the crap out of those bees for stings and honey.
Pro tip for anyone fighting bee queen with moon shrooms. In phase 2 when she screams to wake up the grumbles if you put them back to sleep but not queen herself she won't scream again for a long time. The easiest way to pull this off is to eat a shroom and lure queen and her bees into it. Next position yourself between queen and the centre of the cloud and then hit her. As she's fleeing eat a shroom and limp out of the cloud towards her. When she screams the grumbles will wake up and then immediately go back to sleep and you're free to wail on queen for a bit.
Just wanna say I’ve been a big fan of the channel for a while and a big fan of dst for longer. I know it’s not a massively popular game but it’s definitely one of my favorites and you have the absolute best content on this game. All of your videos are entertaining but also very helpful for getting better at the game and if not for your videos idk if I’d still be playing it to this day, so just wanted to say thanks for the awesome content
I recommend getting monkeytail crafting immediately, with a bee farm, you get huge amounts of healing items. Once you have crafted enough monkey tails for a lureplant farm, re-spec and go full damage The Bramble husk effect every 3 attacks works even when riding a beefalo, Lunar guardian II also works (even with the B.Smasher) while riding a beefalo, This makes beefalo taming pretty good for wormwood early game as the beefalo will tank for him when you dont have a decent stock of healing items/armor The vines spawned by Lunar guardian II also becomes target by multi hit attacks like Klaus' ice attack Bramble trap is stupidly strong against fuelweaver and toadstool

After playing like 70 days with with Winona She is definetly OP Ability to cross gaps for free, 1 free revive every 4 minutes, Being able to use worm holes and choose any explored wormholes to travel to is very handy. The catacuplts and almost Infinite Light is also very strong, u can place like 9 catapults near 1 generator, normal generator lasts like 20 days and 1 nitre refills it for half, the lights both give light(no way) and also give heat so u dont need anything during winter So yeah winona is the ultimate base builder but also pretty good with traveling too
4:09 - this is important information. I always thought that it is something wrong with my memory. When I played different characters (mainly wormwood) and seeing different delay before spoiling. 37:48 - saladmanders are excellent tanks when it comes to Dragonfly fight. Was quite surprised when realised that the can tank it all day long and even if they die - 25HP to resummon is quite good deal. 49:47 - this skills allow great advantage during some bossfights by adding basically free DPS to your attacks if you position everything properly. For example - I used it against first two phases of lunar champion. Great against hound waves, since even 6 of them usually enough to kill everything.
i love collecting all the lightbulbs from caves and give it to a wherepig for a "shit ton" of poop i usally use that for walter to give poop pellets to snails for infinite slime but wormwood can just use the poop
I want to say I appreciate your content. It's very to the point, clear, and in depth. And you don't have a bizarre, forced "cadence" like Bear does which has made his entire video series completely unwatchable for me.
Mass producing moonshroom and farting groggy smoke seems pretty strong ngl, since they also allow you to get tons of mushy cakes. And since there would probably be more lunar content, sleep resistance food seems pretty valuable
hey Jakey ur Video inspired me to do a wormwood run myself and i discovered that his ability where he activates his armor effect on every 3rd hit, counts on beef. So u get the normal Beefelo DMG with the bonus 22 dmg from the ability without using durability for the Armor. Sadly the effect doesnt trigger when ur beef gets hit, only with the offensive skill. Smth for all Beef enjoyers out there.
I don’t know if someone made this idea but if you have the wigfrid beefalo skill tree and use heartrending ballad wormwood can get infinite hp by attacking a dummy
They nerfed his damage hard from when beta first came out. I remember finding out that Wormwood could deal over 2000 dps to dragonfly after it spawned a lavae and using the brightshade staff. Which spawned a vine on every hit
Also worth noting that since the Bramble Husk doesn't lose durability when harvesting Spiky Bushes or Cactus, Spiky Bushes become a de facto upgrade over Saplings that won't wilt during the Summer and also continue to produce Twigs every 4 days during Winter, meaning there is no reason to have a Sapling Farm as Wormwood when you could have a Spiky Bush farm instead.
Honestly a skilltree i wonder about is maxwell will her only be able to side with the shadows due to his connection with charlie i mean it makes sense he has a deep connection with the shadows just like how wormwood has a deep connection to the moon
It's probably going to be something like that, wormwood association with the moon wasn't that obvious before but they made sure that he only can align to it so...
How do I heal as wormwood? I got a x9 beeboxes farm, with a bunch of monkeytails (and bananabushes to get more monkeytails and cooked food). Why? Honey hardly ever spoils, Honey + Papyrus: Honey heal item You get even more papyrus with that reaper item thing. It's a slow method to set up, specially since you have to get butterflies for the flowers, but with this you don't even need a farm....I use my seeds for random sanity gain if I dropped my tam o'shanter. Compost wraps are great for blooming fast and to farm a bunch of mobs with the armor strat (ofc jelly beans are better, stagger doesn't let you use potions). Finally, I recommend getting a bunch of pumpkins and plant them in patches of x4 to x12 so they can be reborn and give you seeds randomly
With bramble husk, 2 saladmander, and the enlightened crown. Do you do more then wolfgang? My math was roughly 279dps(dark sword), not sure if I did it correctly.
