Wow, through the power of Joey's storytelling ability and Google Maps, I just took a journey that started out at 205 W 88th Street, went across the street to 198 W 88th, through Manhattan, Harlem, out to Long Island and back and then followed the Hudson River it's 315 miles to Lake Tear of the Clouds. One of the coolest things I learned in my journey is that the salinity of the Hudson River goes all the way north as far as the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge and that the river actually flows both South and North depending on the tide! The last little tidbit of cool information I discovered is that the Natives named the river Muhheakantuck "The river that flows two ways". With the vast array of characters that Joey knew growing up, I'd say he probably knew of a couple "Muhheakantuch" people in the old neighborhood lol! JD has stories for days!!
