I think Signal could be said as their "experimental" song. Twice already proved themselves as cute and catchy. This song is like testing the water on how catchy they could be. Unfortunately at the time, the results are negative. People mostly hate the song because the song is too "simple" and the lyric is too repetitive. So what I'm saying is, they want to test on how much catchy a song could be, before it's becoming too repetitive and boring.
I absolutely adore the song but I hate the MV with a passion lol. I REALLY REALLY think they should’ve made the individual parts POV and removed the alien, so that the subject of the girls affection is ambiguous. I think it would’ve been so much better!!! But the SONG is wonderful and the girls look amazing in the MV!
