I've been on ozembic for 5 years for diabetes and obesity. I did a comprehensive obesity program led by an endocrinologist. Im so glad i did it and it is way better than getting fatter and fatter on insulin. My concern is that it builds up and i need to be off it longer before surgery.
I was on Ozempic. It stopped me ability to poop after 2-3 weeks, and it was very uncomfortable. The fact that they are advertised as no need to change eating habits or exercise is not a good thing. It ties the user to the medication for life. I also understand for some it stops working? along with the side effects. In 5-8 years, they will have some good research collected. I feel that it is not for everyone, for some it is good for others there will be damage.

Breast augmentation is the most absurd thing. Never understood why you would want to live your life with two plastic balloons hanging from your chest. When was it decided that bigger was better?

I had to do a colonoscopy so my doctor was aware I was taking Wegovy. I did stop but honestly I know it’s still working a week after. I actually did a juice fast for three days prior to make sure nothing was in my system. Trust me, it was the best decision. Wegovy stays in the system two weeks after one shot! I don’t have ozempic face but fast weight loss of any kind definitely will cause you to slim down overall and will cause loose skin. I went for body contouring which includes weekly skin RF treatments. Zero loose skin!

What's really infuriating is that most insurance companies aren't covering weight loss medication. So many obesity-borne illnesses can be prevented by Losing Weight, instead of focusing on treating the symptoms brought on by obesity, they should treat the base of the problem. The overall health and wellness of people who lose weight can drastically improve their quality of life, especially for people who are morbidly obese, and/or have hypothyroidism, or Polycystic ovary syndrome. These factors make regular weight loss through diet and exercise alone difficult /fail. And I'm not referring to people wanting to just lose a couple of pounds pounds, a good poop usually does the job in that case.

Ever since I went on the 21 day jumpstart programme in January, I have been getting a lot of posts on Facebook on losing weight. I have been able to unsubscribe to these feeds. The one post that still keeps popping up is Kelly Clarkson on the keto gummies. I keep deleting these posts and I also click the angry button. There are times I will delete 5 posts at a time. There is no way I would take these gummies, I feel the key is eating a healthy diet. Listening to this broadcast, I still like your way of thinking Dr. Youn, medicine is not the lonely solution to weight lost, changing your life style eating habits is important also. I also like your way of thinking as a doctor. As I said before any patient is lucky if they can see you because you are honest giving the best medical advice possible. The surgery, you preform, the outcome is excellent.
Don't react to the posts, Facebook sees you are engaging with them and will continue to show them to you.

Amir Karam also isn’t a super talented surgeon in my opinion. His results are pretty mediocre, particularly for the price he charges. His personality has also always rubbed me the wrong way too.

I agree. If my first point of contact does not sound knowledgeable and confident, I'm not likely to book a consultation. Please be mindful of that, Dr. Youn, I'm not alone in this. Offering additional training to the "front of the house" staff might be a good idea.

I had the opposite experience. I lost 100 pounds on ozempic but none of the fat was lost from my double chin, so I chose to get it liposuctioned off. I feel much so better about myself.
my daughter was burned from Renuvion 10 years ago. We found out the surgeon had never been trained on the equipment. She had revision surgery on the scar but even the surgeon who did the revision said there was massive scarring under her skin and that the results would never really be good. my daughter has a 4" scar on her throat in the shape of a lightening bolt.
I found having alernate weeks on and off worked very well.

Just FYI - urine of a healthy, hydrated person shouldn't have a very prominent smell.
Also I think people who use urine for skin and stuff wash it off after some time, I am sure if they do it in hygenic way, you wouldn't know.
I think all the grandmas solutions are coming back because they are "clean" and "natural", and you have to admit, some of those things work pretty well (like beer, castor oil, or kerosene for hair, it works like magic!), but all in all in "natural" cosmetics you are not able to control concentration, if there are any pollution in the substance etc etc.
That isn't the real Opra. That is a known impersonator that is younger, and thinner than the real Opra.
