❤ Eric is the greatest musican and very gifted. HE shares his soul that resonates in my heart ❤. He taught me about paying it forward and how to be a humanitarian regardless what many people think. God Bless Eric Clapton ❤Forever Fan ♥
3:21 I always felt he was pointing at Patti Boyd here. They were splitting up at the time. It’s so rare for Eric to show that much emotion when singing. A very tough time as he states in the autobiography but Phil Collins and Mark Knopfler helped him a lot.
@@d3sdinov4 Oh, but they do if only in Clapton's mind. After years of dealing with his constant infidelity and alcoholism, multiple separations, and his having a child during an affair when she couldn’t, despite years of IVF, Pattie finally had enough. They separated, she began seeing someone else, and told Clapton ‘no’ to a reconciliation. He thought she was being evasive when he pressed her for details on her ‘new’ life, and that she owed him another chance. Even though he didn’t write this song, Clapton channeled his hurt feelings about Pattie in several songs in the mid-80s; a lot of people called it his 'angry sound.' 'Tearing Us Apart', 'She's Waiting', ‘Miss You’ and ‘Take a Chance’ come to mind.
@@ArthurB Interesting take. I always thought he was talking to 'The Other Man', warning him that Pattie could leave him, too. He seemed to blame Pattie for giving up on him, even though he mistreated her for years.
I’ve always liked the lyrics of this song, but the synth here sounds so dated. If the guitars were higher in the mix it would be great! It was originally an MJ tune, then Eric’s keyboard player Greg Phillangaines (Toto) covered it. EC liked it and did his own version. He still plays it the odd time today!
This is so freaking awesome for so many reasons! Phil on drums, Eric singing, tha Bassist from Level 42 ABSOLUTELY KILLING IT!!! JUST Wow.
This right here is what ROCK AND ROLL perfection looks like!!
All of Eric’s songs are spot on and this is just another great one of so many
There is more music on this scene than the music scene in the last 20 years oh my
I could watch Phil play drums for days on end.
I would have loved to have been at this unforgivable concert . They were on fire🎉
Epic, worth it for the Collins drum fill at the start alone.

Love him❤
This song gives all the energy and it´s fantastic to see so great musicians together. One of them was Mark King from my fav band Level 42.

i dont think its pattie the lyrics don't quite add up to her actions

@@SP-ui8bk At least in "She's Waiting" he seemed to be self-critical.

And MJ got the instrumental and some of the lyrics from Yellow Magic Orchestra
@@nickcagesgoodseed that I did not know👊
The synthesizer make the song. I feel like I'm sitting on the beach I Florida when I was 8 when I listen to this song.
This is not a hot take. The song is a cover of a synth all time classic by Japanese band YMO from. The synths are the song
Different camera shot every couple of seconds was a bit much!
Agreed. It has the feel of a Mike Mansfield vid from c1975/6
Research the history of this song. You will be shocked at how many other artists were involved.
And one with some notoriety............ Great track from the August album.
