    I need a large capacity cup, but I’m so excited that these mini cups exist so that I can introduce my daughter to cups when she gets her period. And I’m soooo glad we’ve got resources like put a cup in it for teenagers! We will definitely be watching videos together. I never want her to be embarrassed or ashamed of her period.

      You're an awesome mum! So many girls grow up shameful of their body and aren't educated on it, so it's really awesome to see you happy to help your daughter feel comfortable :D

      That’s so great to hear!! It’s wonderful you’ll be teaching your daughter to use a cup and not be ashamed of her period!! As a young teenager who has recently gotten their period (2 days ago earlier) I wish my options were a bit wider, as I have been looking into menstrual cups (especially the OrganiCup) before I got my period, but sadly I am not allowed to use one, or even a tampon for that matter as my family is quite apprehensive about these things as they do not know that much about different products.
      I feel comfortable enough with myself to use a cup, I’m just not allowed to use one. I hope I can next year.

      That’s the spirit, Jen!! Alot of people don’t even have the courage to introduce the cups to their kids cause of the fear of “their virginity being taken away” which is absolutely bullsh*t. I hope your daughter grows fond of it and hopefully she’ll teach it to her children too for a future without wasteful lands.

      @@pavahinynagalingam127 hmm. Well, you can use reusable pads and period panties for the time being. My family never told me I wasn't allowed, but for me, I wasn't comfortable with the idea of putting anything inside of me at first. I'd hate to tell you to get one anyway but when you're old enough to get a job you should and you can buy things like this for yourself.

    Okay I got this today in a size A and was sitting on the toilet for like 30 minutes almost in tears because when I put it up it hurt so bad doing the pinch fold method, as it wouldn’t like pop open, I then decided to try the half diamond and I got it on the first try, so make sure you try different methods so you know which one works for you, also if you’ve got a small vagina I recommend the half diamond method as I’m 15 and still a virgin do nothing is really stretched out down there at all lol, sorry for the tmi but I hope this helps someone x

      Jess I used it for 2 days but it just kept leaking, I’m waiting for my next period to come so I can try and get the seal to close properly, do you have any tips on how to seel it, I can’t get it to poop open.

    • @jess9722
      @jess9722 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      squidward the ugly duckling personally. i rotate it a bit, push it up a bit, and then tug it back down a bit. i repeat until when i pull it down i can feel it is sealed (it wont budge). for some cups you wont have to do all of that and all you need to do is rotate it a bit and then it’ll seal. honestly it may just take practice with your current cup.

    I have the A size and I've been struggling with it for my last 2 cycles. Turns out I didn't know my body very well and was poking at weird areas of my down parts and therefore I was having vagal reactions(fainting and light headedness). For the newbies, no, your cup doesn't have to go all the way up there. It is very comfortable when it sits low without pushing too much against your cervix. I think "all the way up there" illusion is because of the length of the stem with the menstrual cups in general. You may have a lower cervix and the stem might be sticking out bothering you. It doesn't meen you need to push it up higher. Just cut it off if it's not comfortable. Now that I've got the hang of it, I can proudly say I am a convert!
    Also, cutting the stem really does make a difference if your cervix is low. I don't feel it at all now and my period has been shortened to 4 days, from a week! I think menstrual cups can help collecting the blood as soon as it leaves your cervix therefore you can get everything out sooner. 4 DAYS! It's heavenly!

      Don't get discouraged! I started using menstrual cups at 18, and it was a *process*. I'm not sure how much that had to do with not knowing my body, and how much had to do with not knowing cups, but yeah... it took me 2 or 3 tries before it was worth wearing, and I ended up needing a completely different cup. And around that time, my cycle also evened out a lot, and it made the menstrual cup experience better! So there's lots of factors at the beginning! But it's 110% worth it once you get the hang of it, because now I don't even dread my period!!!!!

    I ordered the OrganiCup for my first menstrual cup. I used it for the first time this week and it has worked well for me. I have had a few leaks but have been so amazed and happy with switching to a menstrual cup!! One thing I do have trouble with is knowing when the cup is fully open. Sometimes it feels like it is mostly open but being pushed in by my own parts down there.

    I’m 19 years old, with no kids, and I am a virgin. This mini cup is so perfect for me:) I like that it’s not long because I do have a low cervix, I found out trying my last cup. My last cup was constantly hurting because it was way too big for me. I also have a very heavy flow and was worried about having to change it a lot but I can work a full shift (heavy lifting bending and on feet constantly) comfortably with no need to change it. It’s almost like it fills up above the cup? When I pull it out the cup is full and a bunch more blood spills out of me as well. Im so thankful I found something with really good suction that I don’t feel. Also looove the grippy handle! My last cup scared me every time because I thought I’d never get it out it kept slipping but the tail grips make it very easy to maneuver. Alsoooo I love how flexible it is because it makes pinching to remove the suction very easy. With my last cup I could barely pinch it closed.

    Thank you for the review. I really like Organic Cup as a brand and love their packaging. For future reviews. I think it will be more helpful if you do reviews on a category of cups rather than individual brands. For example, I have a high cervix, so I am looking for cups good for high cervix in all brands. And a comparison of them in terms of softness, shape, length, etc will help me a lot.

    I bought Organicup about three months ago. Since I am 25, exercise regularly, did not give birth vaginally and could not reach my cervix with finger measuring I chose an A size. However after receiving it, I had lots of trouble while trying to insert it. It never opened up inside, the stem was always left behind and it hurt so much that I almost thought that something is wrong with me. After three periods of trial and error, I asked for a size change and got the Mini size. (P. S. This video helped me a lot while making this decision.) This is my first day with Mini, its silicone is more softer, the insertion only lasted for a few minutes and there is no major leakage. I finally found my menstrual cup, and I cannot tell how I am happy about it! ❤️

    • @kittyanna5240
      @kittyanna5240 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kristinadolgan4862 hello Kristina!
      I think the insertion direction and positioning yourself in a comfortable pose is crucial. I have much ease when I squat down a little. Sitting on the toilet provides me the easiest insertion. I also suggest you inserting the cup in a direction of your back, since our uteruses are not in 90 degree angle to our vulva, but have a tilted angle.
      Next time, I suggest you putting a little bit water as a lubricant. But if you cannot insert it even if you try various methods and relaxing does not help, I suggest you to seek for a size change if it is available in your country.
      Good luck! ❤️

      I have the larger size in Saalt Soft, and I also have and really like the Lena Sensitive. They're comparable in squishiness, if that makes sense! I like having them both, because some days the Lena is easier to get to open, and sometimes the Saalt has a better "seal".
      If you like one, you'll probably like the other.

    2 months too late for me lol but I went with my instincts and got the organicup. Now I struggled a bit at first because I got the mini (I know it's recommend to have and A) but I felt I was pretty close to a mini. It worked had to changing it every 5 to 6 hours which I didn't mind it beats every hour and a half😆
    I hate the stem I cut it until I just had to cut it off and it was like *insert perfection sound* the 7 fold worked best for me so I'm hoping with my next cycle trying the A cup will be even better😊
    Glad to know that they are as eco friendly as I found in my research always nice to have backup.
    Oh it was also the first time I enjoyed a period with minimal to almost no cramps😢😊👏🏾❤️

    I don’t see many people talking about it, so I just want to throw it down here to avoid a little pain. HIGHLY recommend picking up a water-based lube if you have a smaller vag or just have general discomfort when inserting. Only water-based because oil- or silicone- based is bad for the cup. They're soft silicone and are so much more comfortable to insert. In her site they have a chart comparing firmness.
      Anyways, my first cup was the Yuuki soft. The Yuuki in regular firmness is famous for being tough. The soft version was amazing for me, the stuff just pops inside beautifully and reliably. Its made in the Czech Republic and I bought it around 5y ago on their own shop on eBay in the most economical option they offered (which was around 17usd and came without anything besides the cup).
      I need a bigger cup now and was searching for them on ebay but they seem to have deleted the shop there. Their website is working but now they don't send to my country (Venezuela). I wanted to share this comment with you because I get your situation, when I bought the cup I just started working translating in fiverr and 17$ seemed like so much money to spend on a menstrual product (it was the first time I ever earned money in a different currency).
      In sum if you are very frugal and need a legitimate silicone but very cheap firm cup, go with the Yuuki soft. You won't regret it and I think they do ship to India.

    I got size B (even though I haven’t given birth and am under 30... I wanted a large capacity cup though). I did the inserting and taking it out before my period started. It was a lot easier then. Now I’m currently on my period and my vagina seems “tight”, so to say, and inserting/taking out seems slightly more of a stuggle. And the cup suctions really tightly to the wall. This is even though my cervix seems higher up (than it did prior to my period). I also experienced slight leakage.
    I’m unsure if I’m dealing with a sizing issue or if my vaginal canal is just “seizing up” and constricted at the moment. I also wonder what role cramping plays in it (I normally have bad cramps, but now experiencing them with cup, I’m wondering if the cramps affect size of the canal).The cup was so so comfortable when I first used it.

    I'm frustrated but I reeeaallyyy want this to work out for me, but it's not getting any easier, I have tried different positions but still.... one thing I noticed is that inside me is like the shape of the letter "C", if that makes any sense, what I'm trying to say is that I don't know exactly when to stop pushing the cup inside, it actually doesn't matter cause it still doesn't fucken open.
    The "funny" part is that the cup actually retains the blood, but I still need to use a pad.

Will keeping my cup slightly smushed like that damage it? I use a saalt cup btw

      I don't think it will matter. I have the OrganiCup and that comes in a box smaller than the diameter of the cup. I don't think they would sell it like that if it would damage the cup.

    Mi first and only cup. I've had a lot of problems getting it fully open and I've been experiencing leaks regularly, but I think I finally got the hang of it. I was kind of afraid to trim the whole stem off, but it's been working so much better since I finally did. Wearing it right now with no problem! Super comfortable!
    Edit: oh my god I take it all back I'm leaking like crazy I bought the cup 8 months ago I just want to be eco friendly why does this keep happening to me please help I've watched so many videos I don't know what's wrong this is so frustrating

      Me too, I use organicup for 4 months and in the nights of my heavy flow I always leak and I don’t know what to do! I tried everything what they said on thier webside and still no change.. I got used to always wear a pad with cup in the case the cup leaks... I thought of buying another brand cup but I’m giving organicup last chance..

      @@hankakarpisova3357 I'm also considering purchasing a different cup, but since I don't really know what the problem is, I wouldn't know which one I should buy!
      I reinserted it three hours ago and it's working this time, but it's been working this inconsistenly since the beginning and I'm really scared to leave the house not wearing a pad lol

      If you already tried the regular solutions for leaking, you may wanna try a firmer cup, may be you are squishing it with your muscles whenever you cough, laugh or exercise.

      For me personally I found a disk works better, it's a little messier until you get the hang of pulling it out but I haven't leaked since switching from cup to disk.

    I tried Lena sensitive small and it was too hard. I flipped it inside out and it was much easier to insert but I need a stem. Have any ideas on another cup that would work for me?
    P.S I'm 38 and have no babies I guess I'm petite

      gina T Put A Cup In It has a quiz that you might want to try on their website, it has been very helpful in my journey to find the perfect cup. They give you 4 different options, and also have a chart where you can compare different brands.

      @@AmalaCharity I took the test and I think because I'm older the quiz suggested cups that were too big/hard...I need a really soft cup I guess.

      This is their firmness guide, I don’t think it is completely comprehensive, but it might be more helpful than the quiz. I wish I could be more helpful. putacupinit.com/firmness/

    How bad will having nails hurts when inserting and removing any cup?

    • @alex_Sbrooks
      @alex_Sbrooks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I say that because I currently am wearing my first ever cup right now. I love it so far just I often have nails on or my own nails are relatively long. I feels that’s got to pinch and hurt ?
