Hi Mark, that vehicle was stolen on June 12 and reported to the police. Suspects were seen at Endevour Group Carrum Downs and stole fuel with a Silver VF SV6 with defective taped aftermarket clubsport tailights later that day. There were a handful of eyewitnesses & Dashcam footages sent to the police on June 14 with all information regarding the suspects. Im very upset & infuriated that they did that on top of stealing the car and assuming robbing the contents inside before lighting it on fire😥

Very sad to see. It's exactly the same colour as my VF SS-V and I had to do a double take. A horrible and sad end to an Australian iconic car. One less on the road which makes the remaining ones that haven't been abused, stolen, or crashed even more valuable
Looks like an insurance job as the owner probably cant make the repayments. Car had no rego but probably full comp as many banks make it a requirement for car loans of an substantial amount.

Hi Mark, hope your well, Agree, what a shame a nice car like that probably used for criminal use, do there bad thing and burn the car to get rid of evidence and finger prints and in the process some one loses there car. Same thing happened here about 3 years where I live in Wrexham a young lad had an old 1970 Austin 1800 ( Land crab ) I use to see it around it had the rat look about it faded pale green paint with rust effect no bumpers and no hub caps but a solid car and some one set that on fire and there's not many of these cars left in the world . Looks more like a sticker pack V6 mark, it doesn’t have the LS3 badge on the front, and the brakes look like stock. Nevertheless, still a shame it was burnt.
Just had a look, since the plate is on the front still. So from what VicRoads says, this would've been an SV6, built in 2016 & had the rego canceled back on the 9th of November 2023. So who knows what happened, which is a huge shame, and sad to see this happen. Moreso for me, being a VF owner, since i'd just picked up a 2015 Calais V Sportwagon just over 2 months ago. So yes, a sad way to go for this here VF.
I couldn't agree more, just shameful, its bad we lost local build production of both Ford n Holden even Chrysler n Leyland too. Only if someone had balls buy one companies out n like NASCAR build RWD platform n offer different shells but choose exterior features very similar with Dodge offering of shell body.

But for every unique to Aussie car that gets destroyed, it's one less we'll never get back. I ran a rego check on those plates, and the engine number came up as an LFX, which is a VF SV6 engine. Still sad to see an Aussie icon go.
