im 18 malay and i really enjoy speaking malay language more than speaking english language. Though i am really sad that now generation Singapore malay cannot even speak simple malay
who said that................i can speak melayu with indian............he can speak melayu too.........how come younger people cant speak...........eventough mr. lee can speak melayu fluently

buat aku rasa bersyukur sangat dilahirkan di Malaysia dan pernah dibesarkan di dalam suasana kampung... Tengok ayam bebas bergerak sana sini, pergi sekolah naik basikal lalu dalam ladang,petang2 pegi mancing mandi sungai...

This is kampung life, I am so blessed that we still have a kampung and enjoying the life in Hulu Langat, Malaysia. Salam to all my malay friends in Singapore.🌹

At 60, I long for my kampong days. Beautiful, simple, friendly people - Malay, Indian, Chinese - everyone knew everyone.
The doors that opened in the mornings will only be closed at night, children playing in the streets, nature was always beautiful. Neighbours don't fight, but resolved their differences over tea and goreng pisangs.
Even though we had no modern technology, life was peaceful.
Now, HDB flats - neighbours don't know each other, selfish young generation with very little patience about everything.
I simply hate living in HDB flat, and truly wish I could live in one of those kampong houses 😔
Kampung is not dirty, the city can be very dirty at times.
my father brought us there last year (well, he drove past there). it was so cool! this kampung must be preserved

Judging by the current condition of real estate, all youngster wants to live in Kampung. We don't mind being poor, as long as there's food on the table we're grateful and fine.

Saya umur 19 tahun, Warganegara Singapura. Saya memang minati dalam percakapan Bahasa Melayu walaupun saya fasih dalam Bahasa Ingris.Saya minati duduk di Kampung kerana saya ada Kampung di Melaka, Malaysia. Asal usul orang Melaka. Tetapi saya menetap di rumah HDB. Memang akan rasa sedih jikalau Kampung di Singapura dirobohkan untuk banggunan HDB. Hilang sejati Kampung yang dulu berada di Singapura. Jujur saya bilang, saya lagi suka menduduki di Kampung daripada HDB. Rasa lagi senang. Tapi maklumlah, Kampung saya boleh balik adalah di Melaka sahaja dan susah untuk kembali ke Melaka disebakan Kerja di Singapura
Banyak juga melayu singapura telah berhijrah ke malaysia..ramailah sebab orang melayu lebih suka suasana kampung...dulu malaysia dan singapura sama sahaja..pakai duit pun sama nak ke singapura pun tak payah pakai pasport....start tahun 1967 baru ke singapura pakai pasport dan wang pun berpisah...sejarah....
Kita terpaksa terima hakikat bahawa Singapura dan Malaysia adalah negara berasingan buat selama2nya dan atas semangat Asean, kita rakyat Malaysia menyambut kedatangan jiran tetangga kita dari Selat Tebrau.
Oh Tanah Melayu......sangat nostalgia dan ada nilai sentimental.
Please lah gov, don't remove anymore village. We had such a rich culture and yet so little is left in order to fit in with the modern world. We already have enough. More than enough. Just because malaysia is just across the border, it doesn't mean that we can allow our historical culture to fade away just like that. What will happen to our sense of belonging to singapore?
What's the sad reality, most Singaporeans were forced to move out of their Kampungs. They're the lucky few who for some reason managed to hold onto their nice spacious houses. Like landed like that. Airy, nice forest, cooling.

Did often wonder how the place look. Use to walk past the kampong on my walks that often start around this area and up to Punggol Point Jetty, through Coney Island, and back to Sengkang. Looks peaceful like our place in countryside in Norway. Tks for a nice video.

Uncle Jamil was one of well known pak andam (bride makeup artist ) in 1980 - 1990s
compare to my own kampong in melaka, its just bring back memories during that time and its still in my memory in a kampong, but i did work nearby a walking distance from my work site to that route but not sure i am allowed to overnight there as if like my own.

You know what's the sad thing, they're building a trunk road skirting the Kampung, soon the forest will be gone and all that's left are just the wooden houses.

I remember I went to this place on a school trip. I was the only one eating with a spoon lol.
Actually,It is not younger people don't want to stay in kampong,but they are not used to it because they grew up in HDB flat.
If they grew up in Kampong,i am sure they would love it.
My grandma lives in Malaysia kampung and I would visit her often when I was younger , I like the feeling of living in Kampungs , it’s not convenient but it’s really good.
I'm all for this kampung life it's a pity I wasn't born during that time
I just brought my sgporean friend to my kampong in Pahang n they were so jaku,n first time in their live they see a toilet outside the house🤣

Ternyata tanah melayu di Singapura
Ini tanah org cina.. diberi duduk ramai org melayu dgn harga sewa yg tersangat murah (kurang $100 sebulan).
Kalau tuan tanah nak jual tanah ni, harga melebihi 20 juta dollar.. tetapi dia tak jual sebab sudah anggap org kampong saudara sendiri.. dia tak sampai hati nak jual.
Alhamdulillag masih ada kampong di singapura.... Dari johor

Looking where the place to live,....the kampung concept is nice than taman,lot banglo.even now the resort,spa,hotel are using the kampung concept.....concept kampung orang asli pun ada..org asli yg duk kat hutan...org bajau laut...org asli yg kat paya bakau...org asli yg kat bukit gunung yg ada air terjun,jeram....soo now day,let start put more landscapes in our city

Up grade lah kampong tu...baiki struktur rumah..cat..potong rumput...buang segala tong , kalau nak reban ayam..buat yg elok...TAPI...RASANYA ..TAK LAMA LAGI KENA RAMPAS LE ...TANAH TU....
