Chelsea can host every award show. Good mix of self-deprecation, honesty, praising and embarrassing the celebrities.
That’s what was missing from Jo Koy - no self deprecation or honesty. This is why Ricky Gervais gets away with destroying celebrities at awards shows - cuz he insults himself more than anyone.
So cringe so predictable: More of Barbie marketing, sucking up to Oprah whose movie remake didn't leave any mark. So many good movies of the year not even mentioned in the opening but kissing Greta G. b*** is I guess what Matel paid the most for

@@danielc4507 actually no. it was referring to another joke made by the golden globes host (Jo Koy) just a week before. Some of his jokes fell flat and nobody laughed at which point he threw his writers under the bus saying the writers wrote those jokes and that the ones they were laughing at were written by him. Kind of a dick move. Whats even funnier is Chelsea and Jo used to date.

I LOVED IT!!!!. It is clear evidence that humor can be 'decent' and 'healthy'. NO NEED to put people down, which often happens during these monologues.

Her timing was great and the material was funny. Some of the jokes were a little edgy. I laughed out loud when she talked about Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski accident trial being a positive moment for women and that unlike Leo DiCaprio’s penchant for younger ladies, she likes her men old and hot. She’s brilliant. 😂

this is absolutly incredible, She's perfect for award shows she's got energy and optimism for days, exactly what we need in such long shows. Everyone laughing at hilarious jokes that celebrates movies. Even if it's making fun at somebody it's in a celebratory way, but in the bad side I had the WRONG choice to be eating while listening and i choked horribly with my dinner at thank you Chelsea for bring this incredible. I didn't know what I was missing out.

I loved her monologue. I loved that when the camera panned the audience, every female was smiling and laughing… so…why did almost every male look like they just experienced bladder leakage for the first time?
Exactly coz the men were her butt of jokes. This segment had a pattern say good things about women, make men uncomfortable, say light jokes about women, jokes about men pe#nis. So ya ofc they are going not to be happy if they are ONLY the butt of the joke.
Probably because they didn't find her that funny..

Since this crowd was basically the same one at the Globes, it was easy to compare their reactions at each show. For example the actors who are laughing uproariously here, hardly cracked a smile at the other show!😮 Bradley Cooper, Margot, Cillian, RDJ, Ryan Gosling, De Niro, Emma Stone, Greta et al. Oh my its like Night and Day .. lmao
