    its a really good option alright, but you mounted it to low, so you will have problems when the screw clamps hit the transom.

    I'm putting one of these on the exact same model of alumacraft. Got mine mocked up but it looks like there's a screwhead at the bottom of the transom that it's hitting. Looks like you just mounted right over the screw - guess that's ok?

    I have had the exact same CMC on my 1542 Xpress duck boat for 6 years I love it. It really makes a big difference and helps when I want to get into shallow water. I never mounted the switch anywhere I just hold mine as I drive . Where did you put yours?

    So my new 16x48 tracker grizzly’s transom is too tall for my mud buddy surface drive 23 hp. Does a jack plate only work for raising the motor? I need about 4”-6”” lower so the prop is in the water

  • @bmorale15

    So a micro atlas jackplate can be mounted onto this CMC power tilt?

    • @jerryv4306
      @jerryv4306 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the micro jacker would be mounted first and then the CMC tilt and trim would be mounted to that.
      I’m curious myself if this would work and how functional it would be

  • @chadbosko8935

    My goodness I have the exact same motor, never used it yet, really confused about what height to put the jack plate my instructions don't say anything about it. Shouldn't the part of the plate where the motor sits on be the exact same height as the transom, that seems to make sense.

    Hi I'd like to know how many inches does c m c Raises the motor Is on the transom. Because I got a 25hp Clamp on long shaft and I need to raise it about at least 3" Cause my cavitation plate sits too low below the boat and getting back spray Over the transsome so I'm getting a lot of water in the boat. Off the topic question, but if you have a bilge pump and your boat is fully foamed, then why do you need a drain plug?

    • @alphacapo
      @alphacapo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be pretty dumb not to have one. Even tho I rarely remove mine. If yur on the trailer and it rains hard. Pull plug.....let water out. Or your bilge can't keep up on the water. You pull the plug once you get up on plane the water sucks out....put the plug back in while up on plane.

      @@ThePulzeGamer yea the new 30hp 4s. Are 160lbs give or take depending on the brand. I'm looking at this unit as I don't have power trim and have been unable to source one for my 1986 yammy. I figure if I get this I get set back and power trim. Too bad the height isn't manually adjustable. Have to play around with shimming the motor at different heights to find where she goes best...before drilling holes in trim unit and mounting ...I'm guessing highest you can go without prop blowing out in a full turn...would be right

    Hello. How high should the engine be raised with this installation?

    • @TinyBoatNation
      @TinyBoatNation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mount the plate an inch over the transom. It should be good for most stock heights at that setting. You can always just mount it flush. It raises backward to offset the extension naturally.

      Hi I'm looking into doing this also, I have a 2000lb winch in my boat that pulls up super heavy stuff and it's hooked to my deep cycle but motors that come with power tilt are hooked to the starting battery so I would think you could go either way, just trying to help.
