Oddly, Sean O'Haire's Widowmaker/Prophecy is another great finisher that it's slightly amazing has never been picked up (to my knowledge) by any other wrestler since. It's a reverse Death Valley Driver, i.e. you hold onto the legs and slam them with shoulders away from you rather than hold the head/shoulders and slam them feet-first as in the FU/AA for example. It looks powerful yet is safe, so I've always been perplexed why some wrestler doesn't take it on. It's a miles better fireman's carry variant than Austin Theory's A-Town Down, for instance.
I met Droz once in the Hamilton mall in NJ. He lived nearby and everyone flooded him and he gave everyone autographs. Really nice guy. Always loved him.
@Artie Trieu in the women’s division, honesty? No. The writers used to have Sable come to the ring even if she had absolutely no storyline going. Just because they knew the audience wanted to see her.. very much like what they did with Seth Rollins a few weeks ago on Raw. No match, no storyline, but the audience wants to see him no matter what. 🔫 to my head, that’s who I’d compare her to, Seth’s popularity right now, her at the height of her popularity . Wrestlemania 14 back in 1998 arguably, popularity wise the only superstars more over then she was, was Austin and The Undertaker. Watch her match with Marc Mero vs Goldust and Luna and just listen to the crowd. No disrespect intended to Charlotte Becky Rhea Lita Trish Chyna +++
@@Rockhound6165 I didn’t like it either but Sables problem always was she wasn’t a wrestler and there was only so much she could do without the skills she needed. Even her return wasn’t great, but in 1998? The crowd was 100% behind her and She was still able to accomplish some pretty great moments in the ring for not being trained.
There's actually 2 matches for Tom Magee. Riki Choshu also had a match, where Choshu made Magee look like a million bucks as well. For those that aren't familiar with Riki Choshu, he's also a great wrestler like Bret Hart.

Great list! Any kudos awarded to Sick Nick Mondo will always be appreciated - taking that weedwacker bump is what put CZW on the international map. Sean O'Haire, Monty Brown, and Blitzkrieg are all massive "what ifs?" Hana Kimura is a legend already. Having been a kid in the 80s I can vouch for Magnum T.A. being a legit superstar on the rise. HE WAS THE MAN. Even Dusty Rhodes said in an interview that he was on his way to being the NWA equivalent of Hulk Hogan. When he got into his car accident you felt like you saw a superhero die in a movie. HE WAS THAT GOOD. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a convention a few years ago and he was a great guy. Wish he could have lived up to his potential. See you on the other side ✊🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥✊🏿
I remember seeing Hana Kimura live at a ROH PPV, & she really stood out to me, out of the other women in what was 8 Woman Tag Match. I made sure to remember the name. Then when I heard she took her own life, it was like a gut punch.
Of all the guys on this list, Monty Brown stands out to me the most, great guy, great look and his finisher, The Pounce, was very entertaining to watch despite it being just a weird shoulder tackle.
I never knew that was the reason he left WWE I thought he just got released he for sure would have been at least ECW Champ and who know if he stayed in WWE longer. Loved the Pounce!!!
They started to air syndicated NWA/JCP Saturday morning shows in New England in 1985. First show featured Mangum vs Wahoo in a cage for the US title. The match wasn't all that, but the pop got when he won made it clear how over he was. Was a big fan and hated to see him retire.
What's funny to me is that in a time when WCW was still pissing away money, Blitz still made way more money with his post wrestling career than he did being on television.
MVP(Montel Vontavius Porter) could be mentioned, he had that fued with Matt Hardy, when he finally got over he turned out to be a pretty good heel. He had that great catch phrase "I, am better, than you! It didn't seem like he was around that long.
You can Yokozuna on here he had a short WWF career but is a 2X Heavyweight Champion and 2X Tag Team Champion plus he is a Royal Rumble winner. He had big fueds vs Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Hulk Hogan, the Undertaker, Vader so he worked with big names during his time there.
Chyna has by far the greatest short career. You could make the argument that shes the greatest female wrestler of all time (not a strong argument but an argument nonetheless) and she only had a handful of matches.
Jeez ! Magnum TA and David Von Erich were both about to beat Flair for the NWA belt before tragedy struck . And before all that Flair survived a plane crash ! As my Great Grandmother Grace would say " Life sure is funny sometimes , even when it aint " . And by the way , her two favorite humans on Earth were Ric Flair and George Jones !
Late stage WCW was mostly a mess, but there were some really solid wrestlers there at the end. O’Haire and Jindrak were an awesome tag team that WWF dropped the ball on, along with turning Shane Helms into a superhero (which made his run in 3 Count seem like a prime gimmick), and pretty much everyone from the Filthy Animals except Mysterio were chucked aside. I was shocked at who TNA ended up with. Of course, Russo was Booker, so 80% of them were mishandled. The only good thing S***-Stain ever did was push Bret Hart in WCW, and even then, he almost killed him. I think he had it out for the Harts. Or he was just an idiot.

I mean technically it's a signature move of Keith Lee's in AEW, but I fully agree that it's an amazing finisher, and Monty perfected the POOOOOOOUNCE
Magnum TA, one of wrestling’s biggest “What ifs”
WWE should've just re-packaged Hassan or a gimmick change atleast. that guy was really good on the mic&could go
He didn’t want to repackage
He retired
Finally, Sable gets some love and respect from one of these lists. Kids today won’t understand just how over she was.
I hated her heel run.
Nick Mondo can say he retired at 23 what a flex 🤣
There's actually 2 matches for Tom Magee. Riki Choshu also had a match, where Choshu made Magee look like a million bucks as well. For those that aren't familiar with Riki Choshu, he's also a great wrestler like Bret Hart.
Monty Brown is definitely on my list of wrestlers who had that "it" factor that should've been as big as Cena, Hogan, Austin, and Rock.
The respect you guys gave Sick Nick Mondo. Much love!
I hadnt ever seen tna and randomly came across it on tv one night. Monty Brown hooked me immediately. I thought for sure he'd become a huge household name.
Monty Brown
Sean O'Haire
Sonny Siaki, I genuinely think he had it all and should have gone on for longer. I know he helped a family member which I absolutely respect.
I’m so glad Monty Brown made this list. Dude was destined for a World Title run had he not left to take care of his nieces & nephews following his sister’s untimely passing. Sad but much respect to that man. The reason I started watching TNA. POOOOOUNCE
Great list!
Any kudos awarded to Sick Nick Mondo will always be appreciated - taking that weedwacker bump is what put CZW on the international map.
Sean O'Haire, Monty Brown, and Blitzkrieg are all massive "what ifs?"
Hana Kimura is a legend already. I truly believe she would have been a multi time World Champion that bridged American, Japanese, and Mexican wrestling. Not a 'what if', rather a 'should have been'.
Man I was just looking up stuff on Monty Brown he was a BEAST loved his work in TNA an WWE. Sean O'haire is another one who was just incredible.
RIP Hana
Hearin bout Hassan after what just broke today is even more crazy
where's AJ?
It's crazy how I was literally going to submit a question about Monty Brown, a few weeks ago ... And here he is in this video 🤙🏾
THE. Alpha. Male. PERIOD!
I discovered Magnum TA watching the build up to Starrcade 85 on the network, guy was amazing
Rip Hana Kimura 🌸, she would’ve been a huge star in the states. By now I think she would be in WWE or AEW.
That 05-08 period of TNA will never be replicated
Theblitzkrieg story was neat. He seems like a good fella
When Magnum TA got into his car crash, I was devastated. He was my favorite at the time.
Sean O'Haire looks like an actual medieval villain, like, he should be in chainmail.
The pounceeeeee! Was my favorite finisher
*PERIOD!*
As a kid I always thought Monty Brown was the second coming of Goldberg always wanted to see that matchup, knowing why he walked away made me love him outta the ring too
Having been a kid in the 80s I can vouch for Magnum T.A. being a legit superstar on the rise.
Monty Brown was one of my favorites from TNA
Blitzkrieg was insane great to see him get some love
Hassan had so much potential
No matter how short-lived Monty Brown's career was, you will always remember him, even if only for his WWE theme song!
Magnum TA was on his way to becoming World Champion & a Hall Of Famer imo. I think AJ Lee should be in the top 5. She really wasn't around that long.
BRUH I LOVE MATT!!!
Sick Nick Mondo is so awesome and such a humble human being
What's funny to me is that in a time when WCW was still pissing away money, Blitz still made way more money with his post wrestling career than he did being on television.
Monty Brown really could have been one of the greatest stars in wrestling I don't care how much if that may be bias. He was incredible
Marcus cor von/ Monty brown was my favorite tna wrestler when he was there. I loved the pounce In the 6 sided ring
Chyna has by far the greatest short career. You could make the argument that shes the greatest female wrestler of all time (not a strong argument but an argument nonetheless) and she only had a handful of matches.
Loving any spotlight on sick nick mondo, got me back into wrestling in 2002
I always feel like Adam Page is the modern Magnum TA. Such a shame about his accident, was due to be a world champion and then that happens
The Hana Kimura took a massive turn I was NOT expecting...
That was an absolute tragedy.
I just wish sean o'haires devils advocate run lasted longer, it wouldve been amazing
Monty Brown aka Marcus Cor Von still has one of the best entrance themes ever.
Hana Kimura story still hurts me till this day
We didn’t deserve AJ lee
Hana Kimura RIP
MONTY BROWN WAS THE SHIT!
7:00 If you pause it...Is that Brian Zane??? Looks alot like him.
I miss Sick Nick Mondo. I know a lot of people don’t like czw but nick mondo is one that everyone has to give respect to
R.I.P Hana Kimura. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
*Kimura.*
@@brandoniswhoiam Corrected, sorry for write the last name wrongly. Thanks for let me know of my error.
R. I. P Hana
Or he was just an idiot.
wow, wasn't expecting Mondo on the list!
