  • A beautiful song by Na Leo . The choreography is NOT mine, but taught to me by my Aunty Moē .This song is so dear to me, I refused to dance hula for my dad when he was alive bc it was too much emotionally for me. So the 1st time I danced for him was to his picture at his funeral. A life lesson well learned . Never refuse to dance for your loved ones! Dance like no one is watching.

This is so super, thank you. Smooth, graceful and easy to follow. If you don’t mind as Kumu, I will learn your steps bc this is one of my favorite songs to sing and play on the ukulele

I typing this through my tears... the 1st time I watched, I cried a little. You are very gifted and your heart speaks through your dance. I was about to share this with a Hawaiian friend and I just read notes. I'm now crying so hard I can hardly see. I'm not Hawaiian and I just started learning Polynesian dance 3 years ago. My father was too old and stuborn to attend any of our shows. So, I danced for him, our family and friends at his 93rd birthday party. I'm SO glad I did!! He passed away last year. I'm sure your father sees you dance and watches over you, the same as my father still watches over me. Be open to the signs. Mahalo, for sharing your gift!

BoraBoraBabie wow thank you for sharing something so personal. I’m so sorry for your loss . It’s never easy losing any of our loved ones. I believe what the Bible says about death. That it is like a deep sleep and that soon “all those in memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” John 5:28,29- I am so comforted to know that it’s not goodbye, it’s goodbye for now. I hope this brings you comfort too.take care and thanks for watching.

Abby Quiet I am very much a tropical person. I grew up with cold and snow. Even as a child I hated snow and would stay indoors and hibernate. I moved to Florida 6 years ago. Not once have I missed those old day in snow and cold. Lol.

Amazing. Love it. And after warming up on your other videos and loosening up these old bones and getting in the swing it’s possible for even me to kinda dance it as the fluidity and rhythm are so natural, and the swing. Hope to improve someday!! And yeah, song and dance melt the heart don’t they🦄🌈🌺

Kathy Sharpe hey Kathy! So sorry for late response ! I have a new born and 4 other littles so with always being in demand I turn off all notifications and check when I can. Thanks for understanding. Nothing too special about me. Learned to dance from aunty moē of Ke Ola Loa. Danced since I was 15. I’m 1/4th Hawaiian and I really enjoy teaching basics and routines. I am NOT a Kumu- I do not have the knowledge or experience ( or time) for that. Thanks so much for visiting my channel. We’re in the middle of moving so I’m hoping to get to dancing soon. Take care!
