rest in piece met GRIDE and SCAPE at a the same show in Oakland they both were super genuine nice people
I had no idea GRIDE passed away…
I just saw a newgride tag in my city... But that's sad rip 🙏
@@livereaction943they are throwing him up in memorial I thought I was losing my mind like why would he hit the same spot 7 times with different styles it’s pretty cool never seen it like this he must of been well respected
@@lordkiza8838 LLG•RIDER🕊
Shoot I didn’t know GRIDE had passed either…there’s so many GRIDE up north, so crazy, heavy in Seattle right now. And Tacoma too. I’m from the bay but was just on a trip to WA. So good
Nobody in Seattle-Tacoma can say they've never seen an MSP tag. RIP GRIDE
I see msp, gride, xcit n more
I’ve seen msp in HAWAII. You can’t really be saying they arent in the Seattle-Tacoma area
I see msp every day
I even saw a Scotty p straight letter in tennesee
@@theo-hansonwhich part?
watched this last night, was surreal seeing them tag that billboard i drive by everyday. turned on the radio this morning, hear one of them got arrested for it 😅😅😅
Finally someone did a doc on Seattle ‼️
Yes!
Dope being out here from LA and seeing all the action out here 👌
I never cared about graffiti until one day iI realized "Man, I keep seeing this G-Ride work everywhere, this dude is crazy". Thanks for opening my eyes to the art. RIP
Hell yeah bro, makes me smile.
I'm from WA state I see Scotty P everywhere he gets up
I love seeing his mark... Seen it everywhere from Sea Town to Enumscratch
That stretch of I5 through Tacoma is completely crushed with gride tags. Badass memorial, never seen anything like it. Anyone know how he died?
Duker 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was just about to comment this ! and there’s all type of hit ups of GRIDE all over the city literally man rest in peace to that man
Years ago I asked how a writer had passed away on the internet and was schooled by a few guys to never ask that information unless you knew the individual personally, solely out of respect. Now I pass that on to you.
hit by car while graffitiing on the side of I5
@benjiholmes7269 so how did he die
MSP kills seattle
Glad to see people are still listening to Mac Dre 🫡 Thizz in Peace Tip Furl
ZA 1000. 😂
Ong i was like bra aint no way thats your tag😂
Man.... I still can't believe he's gone. I've been following his work around Washington state since like 2014, damn it's really been 10 years?! My God. Hey, the whole time yo, this dude is up from Seattle Tacoma EVERYWHERE in between CLEAR UP TO ASHFORD right before the mtn!!!! I did my first piece In 2016 but I started tagin more like 2014 and Gride was the first name I seen twice lol he was the first one I seen 1000 times too haha but it brings a tear to my eye for real. He's been this like goal of mine to meet him one day and tell him how much he inspired me for real and now I can't. Guess there is only one way to pay my respects now... RIP GRIDER.... oh I got one more thing.... where the fuck is KEANS in this video?! Cuz yo, that dude is fucking psychotic !!! Keans, if you see this, hmu!!!

I LOVE IT!!! 💙💙💙 You guys are amazing. Rest in peace Jojo.... 🕊🤍💔
who's jojo? and what happend?
Jojo is my son G-ride and he passed away.
I do Grafitti in Philly. Someone posted the link to this documentary on Reddit and that’s super cool gride got all this footage before he passed. Also pretty awesome all the people who wrote his name on the highway. Sorry for your loss, he def won’t ever be forgotten! Legend status !
@@AndyBoy616 thank you for your kind words. It's awesome how his crew & brothers are keeping his name up! Makes me feel better everyone showing all this love! G-RIDE was a legend!!! But to me he was my king my son my baby! 😢 once again Thanks for your words. ❤❤
Rest In Peace Jose Gutierrez
damn G RIDE seemed like a real ass dude i see why they’re going so hard behind em out there right now , rip to homie
andre nickatina in the intro, instant hype
I sit low in my homeboys Chevy!!!!
That's Mac Dre & Andre Nickatina from the Album Tale of two Andres
When my family drives to Seattle I really enjoy looking at the way the freeway graffiti runs with the car. The letters change with the speed and everything. Fun stuff!
How Did Bro Pass ? #RestInPaint 🕊
Watch MSP get raided just like gimer, thanks journalists.
Killed it G’s!! Gride 👑forever
RIP GRIDE 🕊️ awesome documentary btw
I remember seeing my first Gride piece, it was on a dumpster on 64th and Yakima Ave in Tacoma back in 2002. It was one of the first pieces that made me wonder what this graff game was. RIP Gride keep Making Shit Pretty all through eternity. ❤🧢
Bay to Seattle 💯
I love how I recognize those Spots! It's been about 15 years since I've been active but every time I drive back thru the town all the way down I5 now the writers in this Doc definitely stand out. Great work!
I’ve been waiting for a doc on Seattle graffiti for so long especially the MSP their the only ones running the city rn
I just saw Wesh shots in near my wife's job in West Oakland/ Emeryville 😮
yo weres scoty p at? Now now that dude is all over the nw and beyond. suprised i didnt see him on here. awesome to see this though, lived here all my life so seen all of these.
I was hoping to finally see him too 😭
@@JasonScroggins-c4i they'll get em on here for part 2 lol
7:27 another factor why freeway spots are so prevalent & run in Seattle is they fall under the Department of Transportation jurisdiction, so they have be the one's to buff it not Seattle city government. At least that's my understanding
can't explain how or why but could always tell Wesh was a cool ass dude. felt like i was catching up with one of the homies. GRIDE FOREVER
Great documentary! That blockbuster is a couple blocks from me. I don't write, but been keeping track of Seattle pieces for the 2 decades I've lived here. This behind the scenes footage adds valuable context as someone who just observes from the outside.
Makin Seattle Proud 👌🏿LONG LIVE GRIDE🕊️ much love from the 425-206📍
i fucc w MSP. long live GRIDE
another banger thank you. always a pleasure with these vids
REST IN PEACE GRIDE THE CARTOON OF HIM WITH M’s HAT IS ON THE PACIFIC AVE EXIT ITS FUNNY THE MORE YOU LEARN NOW I HAVE A DEEPER PERSPECTIVE EVERY TIME I SEE THAT NAME Mario shout out for this dope doc
It’s weird to know most of the spots that their hitting as a person who lives in Seattle and loves the scene here
lol youre like 12 youre not in any scene
Hats off to you being down and practicing journalism respectfully for us to share this experience ~
Loved this documentary on ZA1000
I love seeing graffiti, especially in my home city. I always look at the city and think, what would it look like without graffiti? It would look lifeless and empty. Graffiti are the tattoos of the city, each tag and mural has its own story and I think that is pretty cool.
I was hopeing to see who Scoty-p is finally lol, dope doc
Scoty P isn’t in this Doc bro
Too busy painting. 😂
Bro I knowwww I HATE that I don't know him
@@JasonScroggins-c4i then go paint more Lol soon you will run into many people as long as you are really out there puttin in work. its just another writer bro…
Video popped up on my recommended, need more vids like these 🔥💯

Rest easy G! Wesh killing it! Much love to MSP!
Every time I go to Seattle it just looks shittier and shittier..
Have you tried looking away from the mirror?🧐
Grew up seeing the wesh and gride tags everywhere, rip to a legend.
Like this if you were writing in your black book while watching
went to seattle few years ago, MSP and Kodak were crazy up. The amount of ups Keans and Gride had in Seattle and a little outside Seattle was mesmerizing.
KEANS is fucking dope
Do any of you remember "3A" ?
I remember growing up in Seattle and seeing there line everywhere.
I know Tred from 3A
3a is big up

Great documentary. Really eye opening to see behind the graffiti art I’ve seen my whole life. Artists living truly free. That’s a great inspiration.
Wish graffiti artists did more to ensure their community avoids spraying over random individuals private property, beautiful architecture, and murals though. Keep it on corporate and city-owned infrastructure. It’s more powerful that way imo.
I watched this video a week ago. Driving south down I-5 thru Tacoma and Kent this dude got his name on everything all the way down to exit 109 in Oly
RIP GRIDE 🕊️
MOST SPOTS PAINTED.
Thank you for uploading this gem.

So much respect great documentary…. Born and raised Tacoma Wa 253
SEATTLE STAND UP
Rest In Paint G.RIDE. It's his world we just living in it🌎. Stay up 💯✍🏻
It’s crazy I’m in Seattle rn ! Just landed fro mdallas and I notice graffiti everywhere like it’s New York or some ! 😂 it’s cool though can’t knock how some art be up to where you have to think like how tf they get up there
Msp
grides world we're just living in it
I’m from Seattle and this “documentary” vs other from other city’s is disappointing. Wish it would have been of more quality
But don’t get me wrong I love seeing love for my city
They was talking about the LA towers for 10 minutes waste of time that's not Seattle, then talk about the bay for another 5 minutes
Then they was just painting freight trains like that's not the Seattle streets lol
4000 freights 😂😂 come on dawg
Ichabod don’t got that much more than that and he’s the undisputed king of trains lmao 😅😅 never seen that other guy nearly as much as him
About! Ten million
I mean according to the internet theres 1.6 million rail cars in the US so 4000 is very realistic dudes been writing for atleast 10 years and usually you aint just painting one car when your in a yard so do the math
If you were in Europe, there are guys with over 10k. Easily just everywhere you pass(king Zonke)
@@beyondexploration3121 True!!!🍻
Long live GRide 🫡
Need you to make a part two that features the Dog Town collection in north Seattle. They have the worlds largest collection of graffiti art and restore the historical legacies of a ton of graff artists
Rest easy G-RIDE
R.I.P KING SOLVE
Specs One is the king of Seattle graffiti. Just ask your OG. 40+ years in the field. Most of you were still making macaroni art and puttin' shoes on the wrong feet when Specs was piecing freights. Common knowledge here in seattle.
💯 real old schoolers know what's up with SPECS for sure.
Familiar with Steams? Early 2000s north end stuff - Northgate to Lynnwood hes all I saw… well and the notorious pac man symbol
I remember gride hit the m's rideshare lot with big ass "g" 's before all the ride on the banners. 😅😅😅 That cat was up everywhere from here and as far south redding ca rest area.
Seattle the lamest city in the USA. Superrrrrrr sweettt
I Write Because of ‘MSP’.
Y’all were my one true inspiration that got me into writing.
Just Moved back to Florida.. and I’m killing it out here, there’s not much of a scene - so someone’s gotta do it.
I aspire to get my name up half as many times as y’all from MSP.
RIP GRide
I moved to Tampa last year and not much of a scene out here but there’s some 🔥 out here that are doing it 🫡
Making it look just as shitty with children's level art cool
@@Smokesubud, your telling me the city looks better with ugly big corporate logos?
Look at the bigger picture, this makes an urban city feel less like a hell scape.
@@Smokesuu mad brah?
I fucking love it I need to go to Seattle and get up smoking on some of the best buds. I been there before but I was kicking like a motherfucker and visiting my brother. Didn't get to go out and do work.
All that tattoo & paint money could build a healthy retirement lol
Where keans at!
That dockside donuts spot “ was the spot when I stayed in Tacoma
Seattle to The Bay, and LA!
Respect 🙏 Gride 100% true bomber heart
Rip Grider! Wesh is a top notch dude, all the dudes of MSP are legendary, humble, and this doc is so well done. A real look into what art and graffiti in the northwest is! Well done!!
Another mario doco? Lets go 🔥🔥🔥
Very cool, level headed crew. Good guys MSP
I have sign here in Washington I think would look better with something like this on there.
what street intersection is it at??
West Coast Graffiti 🦾
i seen yall up in olympia hella
The cops are watching homies. Hope that's not your place of employment. I used to write MKA SNEEKS in federal way. I don't write anymore but those where some good times with my homies ducking the cops and civilians always into something.. I see you guys up every where. Salute
This comment didn't age well...
Maaan @@DesperadoDufelthis shtick happens every time. Cops watch it, come to the producers with threats of tell us about these people or we'll f you for obstruction, boom. Charged with a felony
GLAD someone finally did this doc for the city!! 💚💯💯
Rip tac king
Just moved to McKinley, rip GRIDER
Fuck this clip has got some serious bangers 🔥 mad art too..
I respect tattoo artists. They create great art and get paid by clients. I watched this video to try to understand taggers and I still don't understand the motivation. Before the pro-graffiti people here start attacking me, I want to know how you would feel if your car was parked on the street and someone covered the entire thing in tags (to the point where it needed to be towed because you couldn't see out of the window). Serious question though, if cities put up specific billboards for tagging (and maybe even rewarded good art), is that something taggers would embrace? Or is it all about spraying wherever you feel like and not getting caught. I would prefer the millions of tax dollars a year going towards covering up graffiti went towards something more useful.
No way Wesh i saw your grafiti a week ago
Scapes graff book helped me develop my style I read that book like three times

West Coast Bombers are different- love it
always saw those MPS / gride tags going into seattle since a kid n Wondering what they were
RIP GRIDE and SCAPE. ill miss their work.
If i was brave enough I'd give it a shot looks dope
Cool to see GRide. Never knew him but everyone i follow has so much love for him that it makes me sad knowing i never will meet the guy. RIP to him, hope his friends and family are doing well
Nice, adult men stuck at the mental age of 15 running around spray painting bubble letters and calling it art. Totally living life on the edge so cool 🤯🤯🤯
The love that is showing for GRIDE up and down I5 is absolutely incredible! Condolences to his Family and Friends! RIP GRIDE
gotta get some big names up in Bremerton, not enough love on this side of the ferry
There's nowhere to hit in Bremerton. The Monett wall has good shit on it regularly though.
@@joelodyssey4475 I've had a group together trying to clean it up over the summer, we're all awful writers but at least we can cut the damn bushes back and keep it tidy out there. a huge piece got put up on the tall wall and covered up every piece, all the way back from 2020 :( shit hurts to see.
Much respect on gride and all the MSP I love seeing what you paint next. Keep the art coming bro.
Havent seen a BELUGA tag in forever...whatever happens to mans.
Damn , dude the dude was a legend. The Jack In The Box downtown of Tacoma is my fav.
Shout out to "Scotty P"
I seen his tag all over from Sea Town to Enumscratch... Even if they are just 1 liners
Anyone see any Mosey graff? I ran into him doing a piece one night now I see him all over the southend
Yeah dude isn’t from Seattle, but he has been crushing The SeaTown lately… im pretty sure he is from either Yakima or San Francisco.
Yeah mosey got some dope stuff on I-5 south…. Another dope writer is similar named “Mosef” he’s actually from Seattle
