I love how I recognize those Spots! It's been about 15 years since I've been active but every time I drive back thru the town all the way down I5 now the writers in this Doc definitely stand out. Great work!
Rip Grider! Wesh is a top notch dude, all the dudes of MSP are legendary, humble, and this doc is so well done. A real look into what art and graffiti in the northwest is! Well done!!
It’s so crazy actually seeing how all this is done. I’ve only lived in Seattle for a few years and always saw these tags. It’s cool to see a face and voice to match with them.
watched this last night, was surreal seeing them tag that billboard i drive by everyday. turned on the radio this morning, hear one of them got arrested for it 😅😅😅
When my family drives to Seattle I really enjoy looking at the way the freeway graffiti runs with the car. The letters change with the speed and everything. Fun stuff!
Years ago I asked how a writer had passed away on the internet and was schooled by a few guys to never ask that information unless you knew the individual personally, solely out of respect. Now I pass that on to you.
I do Grafitti in Philly. Someone posted the link to this documentary on Reddit and that’s super cool gride got all this footage before he passed. Also pretty awesome all the people who wrote his name on the highway. Sorry for your loss, he def won’t ever be forgotten! Legend status !

went to seattle few years ago, MSP and Kodak were crazy up. The amount of ups Keans and Gride had in Seattle and a little outside Seattle was mesmerizing.
Great documentary. Really eye opening to see behind the graffiti art I’ve seen my whole life. Artists living truly free. That’s a great inspiration. Wish graffiti artists did more to ensure their community avoids spraying over random individuals private property, beautiful architecture, and murals though. Keep it on corporate and city-owned infrastructure. It’s more powerful that way imo.

I love seeing graffiti, especially in my home city. I always look at the city and think, what would it look like without graffiti? It would look lifeless and empty. Graffiti are the tattoos of the city, each tag and mural has its own story and I think that is pretty cool.
