- long video but I had a blast making it! upgraded the boat with a flycolor 90amp esc, rocket 2968 3400 kv motor and dumborc rx/tx . on 3s and on the stock prop I managed 36 mph in the first location . moved to another spot put it on 4s and hit 40 mph! this has been a fun project . going to order another prop , tinker with the hardware and shoot for 45! 😁

nice running boat,i just installed a 90amp surpass hobby esc and a 3660 4300 kv rocket and duel water pick up rudder. taking her out tomorrow. also shooting for at least 45 on 4 s,i love messing with these smaller boats have a good one. I have a proboat recoil 2 prop coming. I heard its a good prop for the boat

Which rc boat would you recommend between UDI005(Arrow)and UDI022?
@AbbyRCToys I've only hade the arrow 055. But the 022 has the upgrades I was going to put on mine. If I had to pick one I'd go for the udi022 but the 055 is great for the cost.

Do you think I could use my 4s 14.8v 120c 9500mah traxxas xrt batteries in it? I just ordered the boat today
I'm going to guess no. Unless you change the connectors out. Also fitting a battery of that size in the boat . To large to fit in stock location and to heavy for a boat of this size.
@@jaymeparker27 thanks. Yeah I meant as far as the battery specs. So it wouldn't fry it any more than a smaller 4s? I'm new to electric. Trying to learn
Correct, a smaller 4s will have different specs potentially but voltage will be the same as the 9500.
Nice combo! Amazing!!! How many mah battery 4S u use? I don’t want to lose self right in mi arrow.
I used a 3000mah 4s . I did lose the self righting swapping to a in runner motor instead of a outrunner style
@@jaymeparker27 yeah I saw u have a rescue boat. I will try stock electronic 4S battery in arrow. I changed all metal finds and rudder. Bored 3s arrow. Hahahah. Thanks for reply me.
If I change the esc to a 4s and just keep the stock motor do you the motor will handle it
The experience I had with my boat was the stock motor handled 4s . Something happened to the esc or receiver where it would not come out of low voltage mode. I ran 3 or 4 packs on 4s stock. I'm not sure how long the stock motor would last on 4s as I changed everything out at one time.

Yes , it is a weight to help with the self righting.

Not sure about removing and re using the weight. The motor is a out runner

Excellent video!! Are you runnin this boat in salt water? As a fourth generation Floridian, I am surrounded by saltwater. I did have the same “white” Arrow boat until it took a dump on me! I only ran this boat in freshwater, the ESC sustained water intrusion which caused this boat to fail! Seller sent me a brand new boat, only in “red.” This boat is holdin out very well. I just dunno about runnin this r/c boat in saltwater?!! I would appreciate your thoughts!!
