After Nothing Was The Same, this is definitely my second favorite. It's so dark and aggressive, with a few explorations into the slower style. I do find NWTS a more cohesive and balanced album though, which you brought up, IYRTITL might be TOO aggressive at times to the point of repetition.

Definitely underrated in terms of a lot of the tracks on the whole VIEWS record. However as a whole album, Take Care, NWTS, IF YOU'RE READING are solid albums all the way through. But as for the rest they all have amazing moments in terms of tracks, even the tracks that just seem like filler episodes are still pleasing to the ears for me personally and Drake is one of of a few people that can do that well. For those that have been avid listeners though I'm sure can agree So far Gone would still be up there because that was also a great record.

Like even 8 out of 10 went over a lot of people’s heads. Joe Budden broke it down perfect; where “luck is on your side” refers to the owl being on good musics side, in contrast to “settled into my role as the good guy” where drake is part of GOOD. And, “all 7s no 6s” was to refer to the 7 track roll outs of the good music group, etc. Every song had too many bars that people usually missed idk.
This record is Drake at near max potential. My favourite album of all time and I don't even consider myself a massive Drake fan. This dropped when I was in high school and I remember the impact it had on Vine and Hip Hop in general, not only that, but the vibe it gave off resonated heavily with me.
