Great video and solution! I'm a bit curious how much latency is added compared having the controls connected directly to the main computer. Also thinking of the possibility to connect other things, such as a Stream Deck...

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Regarding the latency, while there is some added delay compared to having the controls directly connected to the main computer, it's typically minimal and shouldn't affect most applications. However, the exact amount of latency can vary depending on the specific setup and network conditions.
As for connecting other devices like a Stream Deck, I don't have one to test it but I'm very positive it's possible! I have plugged HOTAS, Xbox controllers, arcade fight sticks, and a Printer. many peripherals can be integrated smoothly into this setup.

@@XNIMRY It's inevitable that there's some latency. This looks very promising anyway.
When it comes to the Stream Deck there's a lot of things getting communicated. Like all the thumbnail icons for the buttons and I don't know what the physical device is actually storing.

@@Deva-Jufan , In general the virtualhere is acting as a USB host server.
Whatever data go through USB cable Virtualhere mimics the same and transfer it over network for the target client machine. I would say the only challenge if the USB device requires external power more than what the USB cable can provide from the host machine. Then you have to provide the power for that device to make sure its working.
I think I should start another DIY project for building stream deck using Raspberry Pi 😅 its totally doable

@@XNIMRY I've got a USB-hub with external power connection I would use if I'll go ahead building this, so there will be enough power for everything. There will be a power cord connected to the chair, though, but still independent from the computer. That is if I don't build everything from starting with an electric wheelchair that comes with a large battery... 😉
