I love how excited Robert is about the freeze drying! i may have to email you for some tips on my Cube and how you adjusted yours ;) I just got a few recipes done and I have some in the freezer to make some MRE's. how exciting! Speedy recovering to you both. When I am that congested, I use the ACV steams with cayenne, and it cleans it all out! It is pretty helpful! I know I have vids on that in my health series. A great natural help! Oh and finally I am excited to hear about your new Kombucha flavors!! YUM!!!

Happy y’all enjoying learning about all great things about freeze drying…it is very addictive as he said. I like making potato flakes for fast mash potato’s to have on hand. I currently have butternut squash and sweet potatoes going in mine. Hope you two get to feeling better. Prayers.

I’ve never tried freeze drying fries. I have done diced, shredded and mashed. Right now I have bbq pork, smoked chicken in the freeze drier. I’ve got tomato slices in the freezer to go in next. During this season it is running almost all the time.

My mother would make us kids, fried doughnuts, she drained them on brown paper bags all the time, it soaks up real good.

ok. Now I wish you would have done this about 1 month ago. Just did a LOT of diced potatoes and blanched all them suckers cause I thought they would turn black when rehydrating if you didn't. Darn it. Oh well. Going to do the next batch without blanching and see what happens. Hope you 2 have recovered.

That potato had what is called hollow heart. It doesn’t look great, but the potato is fine. I can’t remember what causes it. But since I’m from Idaho, I’ve seen it a lot. I did carnivore for a month. It’s good, but not any better for me as far as I feel, than just staying gluten free. You go, Robert! What is life without potatoes? 😂

Have a question about chive blossom olive oil. How long do I leave the flower in the oil before I use it? Thank you. Love your channel

I’m sorry but I have no idea, I haven’t tried making anything like that

I would have thought blanching to prevent them going black was important? Do you have citric acid in the water?

I wonder what would happen if you fried them without rehydrating them….. anyways feel better soon

Don't you have to blanch them first?
