    I have only one question. How did you manage NOT to drive an Evora until now!? :D
    Hopefully you'll pick up an Emira soon enough when the cars start getting delivered.

    I owned a 2006 Lotus Elise for 6 years and tracked it extensively. I would always say, "You drive most cars with the steering wheel. You drive a lotus with the pedals." I would typically point it on turn entry and then control yaw with the brakes and/or accelerator. Only my 911 has ever been close to the same feel. Lotus are amazing.

    Hey, Randy! Nice to see you driving the Evora. I have a NA version - not a lot of power but handles well and is fun to track. Hope to see you again at a racetrack somewhere soon!

    How does 1.30 stack up against the track record? I'm a fan of Randy's and know his history as a great driver, just wondering how the car performed.

      @rkwjunior2298 , cool, but that doesn't mean anything. And yes I'm sure an ACR has done a 1:27, but those aren't official record attempts. For example Chevy did a record attempt at AMP with a c7 grand sport and ran a 1:25. You can just search for it one youtube. I ran a 1:28.5 in my '20 gt4 pretty easily.

    Lucky you to have the track to yourself, I own the 21 GT liquid yellow 1 of 1 in the US with options, is it worth it to fly to Atlanta to do the lotus experience? I’ve been to the GT500 track attack and the Porsche experience both free and lasted half a day, but the lotus experience is only a few hours with just a few laps seems like a teaser…

      Oof. But if it's your dream car, mod it to make it work for you. Its just a car, your experince is what matters. They cut the top off of a Toyota 2000gt for the bond actor who was too tall. This is a cool car but not quite 2000gt cool. You'll be fine.

With the seat pushed back I could barely reach the pedals and there were plenty of inches to the roof, even with a helmet I'd have extra space. This is before they dropped the seat another 15-20mm or so. I bet you'd fit pretty well.

    Seems like a turbo would be a better fit for it.....
    The V6 would be good at spinning up a mid sized turbo. You'd get more hp and tq for the same boost level, and it would pull wayyyyy harder. And it would make use of the high revs better than a supercharger.
    You would be able to change the boost far easier as well. Tune it so it still has 400hp but jumps the tq up to 400+.

    • @indianapwn3s
      @indianapwn3s 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The transmission can't handle that torque.

    • @darren4747
      @darren4747 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The supercharger is good as it provides linear power delivery which helps keep the car balanced
