More hi-res Cynic clips at metalinjection..... Cynic live, taped at the Sonar in Baltimore, MD in January 2010. Here are all three live clips metalinjection.....
Sean Reinert will be missed, such a influential musician across all genres, from death to Cynic, gordian knot and Aion spoke, a true innovator that cannot be replaced 😔
I actually met their guitarist (Tymon) after a show at a festival. He was kinda bored so we went to see Green Day together. At Cynic's show there were about 50 dudes, and then we saw Billie Joe Armstrong play 3 power chords in front of 30,000 people.
I remember these guys having the crowd doing some yoga stuff prior to playing their set. They opened up for Scale the Summit, Devin Townsend and Between the Buried and Me. Awesome show.
Cynic is one of those very few bands that spent most of their existence opening for every band that owe their entire sound to them. Not a knock on cynic it's just unfortunate that they're as lowkey as they are while also being massively influential
@AccountOfJason They have midi pickups in the guitars that convert the sound to midi to be controlled by footswitches (the last part I'm just guessing)
fuckin amazing. one of the bands that i must c live. this is probly one of the only shows where there's a bunch of metalheads together, but no moshing. lol
what ive always found to be ironic and hilarious at the same timw is that sid hates cynic, yet hes the most cynical person on the livecast. plus this band is AMAZING live, as this video proves.
Dylan .0 just be happy cynic is still alive and fully functioning and that Sean Malone is still in the band! Sean is an amazing drummer but as long Paul remains as the creative mastermind of cynic and Sean Malone plays bass the band will be fine. Also I think the new drummer is great and a perfectly adequate replacement for Sean. People really should not be complaining!
I get this strange feeling that these guys don't really party after shows, they just sit and read or something.
That first chord from space for this always gives me the chills:) Love this band more than I can explain.
Yes, cynic causes tingles in the you know what...
+Nathan Douglas You too? Nice :D

Dont forget Aghora first album
I was at this show. The singer made us do yoga lol it was pretty metal
How can he flawlessly dish out those guitar riffs and ON TOP OF THAT deliver a fantastic vocal performance?? I need to see this live....
Did you ever get the chance?
one of the sickest of sickest drummers
this bass player always cracks me up, in a good way. love this shit
One of the best movements of music in the last 50 years to me...amazing to see it pulled off live
Goddamn beautiful
Best band ever !!!
Paul's space solo is outfuckingstanding.

It ain’t about how many notes you play. Greens Day and Cynic are both great.
Absolutely Beautiful.. My all time favorite band.
TREMENDOUS shape of the band! Top2 lineup ever. So painful loss of Sean. Rest in Peace, dear brother.
Probably, Paul Masvidal is one of the most interesting persons, in metal world .....,
6:24 drums... Damn.
what a fantastic band.. amazing talented musicians!
God damnit I need to see Cynic live.
Great performance and quality!

@QcPamplemousse I listened to traced in air about 100 times before I saw them live, that day i realized that CD's never compare to their live power.
@AccountOfJason They have midi pickups in the guitars that convert the sound to midi to be controlled by footswitches (the last part I'm just guessing)
best band on earth, and ganimedes...

@@tho4life611 RIP Sean Malone.
Woah Paul's guitar is weird! How does he string it without the headstock?
Behind the guitar
Meditate. :)
"More hi-res Cynic clips..." Guys, this shit's on 360...
its people who love music, not people who want to exert aggression on everyone they see. less moshing, more real music.
This song sounds like the band 3.
Adem
