    I've been collecting SHMA since the very beginning. It's clear that the line is being neglected. The Monsterverse figures especially have the absolute bare minimum of effort for a "Bandai Tamashii seal of quality" product.
    When we get stuff like Gigan 72' and then these It's like there are two separate entities working on SHMA. As a result, expectations are painfully inconsistent. For the prices of these, it doesn't feel good.
    I went from completionist to apathetic over the course of the last few years due to how the line has been handled. Countless reissues, hand grenades, inconsistent paint since the first release, and then some.
    I wouldn't call Steven's reviews irresponsible. I call it the outcome of a man who's been consistently let down by the same company. Steven definitely has a crass aura to him, but it's that cynicism that makes his reviews more meaningful to me than say DiegoDoom, who I feel is very soft on his reviews. Steven at least makes me reconsider my purchases, which is the job of a reviewer.
    The problem with the complacency is very real, but it's primarily with the manufacturer. Bandai Tamashii knows that they hold a market majority, and until Hiya and Super 7 can establish a foothold especially in non-US markets, people who want "premium" articulated Godzilla figures have to get the SHMA.
    I'm sure SHMA is one of the most expensive lines to produce, and quality/variety continues to decrease as prices continue to increase, a classic problem.
    I see this as a Bandai Tamashii problem that's trickling down and becoming a community problem. Bandai obviously wants as many people as possible to buy each release but with the sheer amount of reissues/repaints/declining quality it only creates discourse for the more dedicated collectors, leading to this.

      I think Bandai is simply taking advantage of the monsterverse in a different way, for example maybe they don't put max effort in monsterverse figures but go above for older toho figures, because they want to promote toho more. I kind of see both of your points. STR commenting that they haven't improved the accuracy at all after all this time is valid, and that does really make these feel like more of a cash grab. But for some people, that doesn’t matter, and they're just happy to get these molds because they couldn't before, which is also valid.
    I do still think its important to hold companies to a higher standard, so i completely understand not being satisfied with the very minimal updates they did, for Kong specifically

  • @KMC2406
    @KMC2406 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

    Hey! That´s my comment! I know my comment came out as a little contradictory, I think that negativity is contagious, but still, that´s no excuse. What I meant with the cash grab part is that there was room for improvement and time to make it, but it wasn´t made, and it is a bit frustrating. But to be fair, it is something that other companies are also guilty of, Hasbro for example (And I´m a big Hasbro consumer). I am not a stickler for accuracy, but I also think that little things can go a long way in letting your consumers know that you care and listen to them, it is always nice to see when a figure comes out, it has an issue or a common complain from the audience, and then the company tries to fix it in future releases, and I feel something like that could have been made for both of this releases, especially since they are two of the most iconic movie characters of all time.
    But even then, I love that Godzilla mold, it is probably one of my favorite toys of all time. And I´m still very much looking forward to that Kong. Sorry for the long text, I just felt I had to explain myself a little better because trying to keep the waters calm last time made me come out as a little rude and contradictory.
    Great video, I think you bring up some very valid and interesting points on the way we wacth video reviews an the responsabilities reviews have when talking about the product.

    I definitely agree with a lot of this, here in the UK we get very little Sh monsterarts stock and I sadly missed out on the original GvK Kong and Sdcc exclusive , it’s so difficult to get Sh monsterarts stuff here if you miss out on the initial run and I’m personally glad that Bandai is releasing another Kong and I’m honestly not too bothered if people consider it a cash grab when it seems like a pretty solid alternative to something I wasn’t able to get

Having a recolor burning Godzilla would be great it would make more sense considering it’s been gone from the market or biollante but this Godzilla model has been the only one provided constantly and that needs to change

    My experience with SHMA QC issues is as follows:
    Perfectly Fine: 2000 SCV, 2021 Goji, 2021 MG, 2004 Gigan Ver 2, SP Goji, SP Rodan, 92 Rodan, 99 Gamera Ver 2, 2002 Kiryu, 19 KG SCV
    Limbs Pop off easily: 95 Rebirth, Hedorah
    Paint Defects: Shin NCV- one eye looks up and silver paint on left leg
    Both: Kong 2021- loose right leg, and yelling face has one googly eye
    I'd guess i consider myself lucky since i haven't had any figure disintegrate out of the box, but the line has always been inconsistent.

    Your constructivism and thought put into nearly every word that comes out of your mouth is very beneficial for your content. You make sure to bring up fair and elaborative points, with as little bias as possible. When there is bias or personal opinion you do at least put it in verbal parenthesis if that makes sense. Very professional take on the situation.
    I frequently indulge on STR's content for the very precise and detailed takes on the figures, showing their paint applications, articulate range, any issues the figures might have, and things they do very well. As soon as it starts to slip down into the more "Ok review's over, now time to have 'fun'", where I start to remember the more....iffy side of the fire that he only feeds and grows. It's gotten to a point where people can't just enjoy what they like regardless of if you don't like said product. We've gotten to a point that if someone enjoys the product that you don't, then they are just objectively wrong and foolish for making their decision. It's a very unhealthy mindset that I feel he's been doing nothing but promoting. The portion of the video that essentially was "shame on you for buying these monsterarts, you could've given to charity instead" was just a very unprofessional guilt tripping moment that wasn't called for.
    I'm glad somebody's bringing it out, while at the same time not just saying "everything he does ever is just bad and dumb and blarrgh." Cuz like I said, the more professional sides of his reviews of just reviewing the product for what it is, is amazing. He's very skilled and knowledgeable in that regard, its why I still take the time out of my day to see them when they come out. I just wish the video's and even the engagement outside of the videos was a bit more professional, especially when theres such a significant portion of the community that will take every word of his as gospel.

    Nowadays I feel like I don't really care for Monsterarts and prefer to not talk about it cuz what they're doing isn't really for me. Talking about it with my friends would probably just trigger a series of rant, cuz by my standards it's not really satisfying. I do wanna say that I agree with Steven when it comes to Kong... to a certain extent. I disagree that the '24 Kong should come with everything from the SDCC one, cuz it's not that Kong. But I do agree that they should reused that Kong's mold for the new scars. Cuz the painted scars doesn't really look that good in comparison to the sculpted one. Hey, they got the mold already, why not reuse a more fitting mold if you wanna reuse something. I am happy that they fixed the joint tolerance issue with Kong, and I am interested to pick it up. I still think SHMA did the better Kong mold, albeit to me Hiya's headsculpt still looks better. What'll stop me from picking this guy up is ofc the price. Yep, this dude would probably be a fidget to me as well, but I rather added something to my flagship collection than a more expensive toy.
    I would say I'm slightly leaning towards Steven's stance a bit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to look down on others nor trying to be a messiah. I'll just be honest, it's for my personal sake, my selfishness. If buyers going to keep the standards low, ofc in some aspects that could be better, it'll effect the later releases, which impacted others who do care more. If ppl should targets the company instead, well... companies are technically moved by the market. The wallets do the voting. Unlike Hiya, Tamashii doesn't really sells the intimacy, so they don't really take the initiative to fix something for the fans when the market is satisfied. Hiya fixed the neck and jaw from Goji despite more ppl simply just want a rerelease of it, cuz they missed out on it. Hiya could just resells what they already got but didn't. Not out of consideration nor care for you, but cuz they are selling another product that you dunno you've bought and dunno you've paid for.
    And that product is intimacy, with the payment of loyalty. Cuz by the end of the day they still expect you to support their rerelease. Hiya made more repaints than SHMA, but ppl seems to not be as infuriated by it. Even buys them. Tamashii didn't use this model, they don't sell you on intimacy, thus I don't see them as the kind to take the initiative when the market is ok with what's available. Which is fine, they're just not the kind for me, while what they offered could be for you. Hence I just simply moved away from SHMA Godzilla. I'm still going back for MonHun, waiting for Lagiacrus, and would want more Gamera stuff. Give me Heisei Gyaos, dang it. I dunno if this is me seeing pattern where there isn't, but I feel like flagship are generally of lower quality than nicher stuff. I would use example from Bandai's plastic model line.
    They got this line called HG. It's a line for 12-15cm plastic models that are generally cheaper. It focused more on quantity than quality. However, it seems to me that this only applies to Gundam. As HG for the weaker brand (by weaker in this context I mean ppl who would buy a plamo of) they got better engineering and part seperation (this meant less stickers to compensate for the color of a design). One case is model kits from SRW. Issa game consist of many mecha franchises, but it didn't really had a lot of merch, and their original designs are in obscure, unknown lines made by smaller company. The engineering and part seperation on their HGs are well beyond HG standards. And you kinda see the same trend on other HG lines that are more niche, like Amaim, Code Geass, or a HG-equivalent line like FRS Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I feel like it's because these lines can't support itself from fans alone. Unlike the big names like Gundam or Godzilla, ppl who don't know the names nor typically associating it to said form of merch would probably not buy them. So they lean on to the other market, drawing ppl with something else. For plastic models it's their engineering and part seperation, to attract the plamo enthusiast who cares more for the build experience more than the design and names in and of itself. With figures it's more quality and care.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like Godzilla line didn't achieve feats that the non-Godzilla line often do with SHMA, at least not as often. Gamera had been bangers, MonHun had been bangers, Yu-Gi-Oh had been bangers, all with minimal or next-to-no issues. In comparison the Godzilla ones are servicable or full of issue. I guess cuz the Godzilla name could carry the line, this also caused them to further got no reason to take the initiative. To clarify, yes, MonHun and Yu-Gi-Oh is a big franchise. But most ppl would buy their games/trading cards, not figures or model kits. Their main market isn't figures, but something else.
    TLDR, I do somewhat agree with Steven, but I feel like I got enough of the negativity that I could just move away as suppose to expect a change in something that never caters towards the type of customer I am. Thus I'll still sticks to Hiya, but would consider SHMA for the nicher lines. Buuuuuut, my god...zilla, Hiya. When will I get my Ghidorah. Man, the distribution of this one.... I've seen some ppl just recently got theirs, do I am waiting still for my turn.... Still waiting, 5 months later. I hope this issue isn't a trend with every larger Hiya figures. At this point I might have to move to China. Oh well, glory to Xi Jinping, I guess

    I'm having a similar situation, because I recently bought the monsterarts Shinjuku Battle 1991 Goji. I got it because I love that godzilla design, its the one I've been most familiar with since I was younger than 10. I also got it because I'm in a position where every so often I'm able to spend my money on a more expensive item, and this is the first monsterarts figure I've bought myself.
    So I watch Steven's review, and I'm being made to feel like I've wasted my money? I understand that folks who collect every single monsterarts figure are disappointed because it's not hyper-articulated like the Final Wars figure, or it's not the exact suit they were hoping for, but not everyone is able to buy all of these things. I see something I like, and if I can afford it I might just buy it. I don't care what diehard collectors think, no judgement towards them, I just want to enjoy my purchase without hearing "Yknow you really should've just waiting for [figure]."

What is wrong for appreciating both SHMA and HIYA for what they have to offer. I purchase HIYA for screen accuracy and SHMA for articulation. I like STR's videos but dont always agree with them. Sometimes he leans a little too much into the memes and negativity. I started tuning out of the unboxings when he began the trend of fake hysterical laughter whenever a part would fall off out of the box. Like, yes I get it, these things are expensive and they shouldnt fall apart, but is it that big of a deal?
    Also, not a fan of when he makes it personal. Make your value judgement on the products, but theres no reason to extend that judgement to the buyers. Like I said in another comment, I would have been in the market for the Godzilla if I had skipped the GVK one, because it just looks better overall and has more accessories.
    Personally, Bandai has always kind of dropped the ball with the monsterverse stuff but has been killing it with everything else. So now that we have Hiya Toys as an alternative, I really dont feel the need to be angry with Bandai anymore, because if the product looks bad, I will simply not buy it.
    Trust me, I used to hate on SHMA when they first started, but they have improved a lot since those days. They absolutely still deserve criticism in places (overpriced, stingy with effects, quality control), but it can be done without the snark and negativity.
    Anyway, you've earned a subscriber this day! I appreciate your thoughtful commentary and measured demeanor.

    I dunno where I stand with this. It's literally just toys, I don't think it should be taken that seriously. I understand peoples frustrations with the SHMA Line, but let's not pretend that Hiya will wipe out SHMA. I own both, and I really like them for different reasons. They go for different things, and sure you can compare them, but it depends on where your priorities lie.
    But yeah in terms of reviewing, I think it's okay to push a narrative as long as the audience knows what's going on. any one who has watched STR for extended periods of time will know that he is a lot more harsh on SHMA. I do think that he should be more up front with this fact, but It's his channel. I do think people are getting carried away with the SHMA hate, again it's just a toy. If you don't like the product, don't buy it, but also don't shit on people for enjoying something that you don't.

      There isn't gatekeeping. I explicitly stated to buy whatever you wanted because in the end it really doesn't matter, but if you did want to spend your money to join in on the fandom I encouraged you to divert your time and energy elsewhere. Not actually listening to what was said doesn't help the points and understanding them; I addressed points which people brought up as arguments why they would buy these, and counterpoints to something else. it was markedly smaller than i was expecting, and came with no atomic breath part. the sculpt was gorgeous and i genuinely prefered it's design to the version that appeared in the film. the wrist joint fell apart out of the box, and the tail fell apart frequently. its filler pieces restricted its articulation, and were floaters. something was always clashing with something else. the figure resisted any real attempt to play with it, and so its mostly a display piece now.
    it wasn't a bad experience, but ive never had any incentive to go for another release. i think the only time i've ever been tempted were the gamera figures, and the recently released final wars godzilla.

    (8:12) While I don't advocate for S.H. MonsterArts, at the same time though I don't necessarily hate them iver (im kinda more in the middle when it comes to their figures honestly). Granted I do have two MonsterArts figures currently but I doubt i'll be getting anymore in the near future. However if I was collecting more MonsterArts figures like most collectors, I probably would get the 2024 version of Godzilla. Not just because the colors look cool but also this version of the figure looks like the more classic Toho Godzilla (with the more bright blue and charcoal gray color scheme). And I know it might look lazy to some people to re-release the same figure over and over again, but now if you only wanted to pick one of the figures they have released so far at least you have many to pick from. 🖥🦖🖌📦

I know its a little bit unrelated to the topic but still im genuinely curious. Not just for the Bandai vinyls but even for Playmates as well. He actively tries to be as negative as possible and then will put on this almost pompous persona, like he's better than most toy companies or collectors. I just can't understand why he acts this way? Views? A huge driving factor that wedged me away from him as an active viewer, was when he refused to review the 1000Toys Master Chief from CE, going as far as to actively attacking the figure publicly, making preconceived arguments about its quality, whilst refusing to review the figure. It was quite honestly the most off-putting, disingenuous thing I've ever witnessed in the figure reviewing community.
    Like, your job is to review the figures, and then you refuse to review the figure, but then have the gal to make notions about it when you don't even own it.

    I've been relatively vocal about my distaste for SHMA, and the majority of high-end collectibles, and I understand where a lot of folks are coming from. That being said, criticizing the individual for liking the thing that they like is not only besides the point, it's immature, and frankly a self report that you don't have a meaningful point to make. A genuine expression of one's opinion shouldn't come at the cost of a fair, honest point. To put down people who like or want to engage with these releases, even though you don't is to deny them the uniqueness of their experience and relationship with the hobby. If you can't make your point without undermining people's approach to their hobby, then I think a re-evaluation of the point is in order. Bad-faith arguments never got anybody anywhere, and that sort of rhetoric has bred so much discourse and hostility in the community. I say this with all due respect, as a person of little to no influence, and I hope that this can serve as a constructive learning opportunity. It's easy to shoot off at the mouth and dig your heels in when you feel strongly about something. I've done it many a time. They have the ability to make it better but chose to give use very sloppy paint work and such and call it exclusive just to get a quick buck. @@kaijucanuck4492 yes they should be recolors but with a high degree of specificity and detail. By making is a very bland and at times sloppy paint application it does feel like a CASH GRAB. I mean let's look at the difference with the poster version color of 2019 versus the NYC exclusive. You can see the lengths they went to make the EXCLUSIVE feel like a very quality and unique figure well worth the price. The argument still holds. Also again, WHY didn't monsterarts make a MOVIE accurate depiction when it comes to paint application the first go around and instead we got toothpaste? I did find it quite odd why people were so upset when these got announced to begin with. If you already have the 2019 release, 2021, or anything in between, these clearly were not for you. I've come across so many people online who didn't get any of the previous releases that are so happy that they finally got the chance to get a copy of this mold. A lot of people clearly like this stylized mold. I can understand being upset that this one got a beam and the other releases didn't, but other than that, I just didn't get it. Bandai is in the game of making money, and repaints make lots of that. Hiya definetely knows that.

      I had about 12 minutes of additional footage that I ended up leaving out, but part of it was talking about how these are the forms we see the characters in for the majority of the movie. There is concept art out now showing these versions fighting in Egypt, and they were the first versions we saw Playmates show off at Toy Fair last year. Pair that with the appetite in Japan for these molds and it would almost seem silly of Bandai to NOT issue these.

      It’s more the fact that people were never happy with this sculpt in the first place. Even by 2019, it was kind of mediocre and not all that movie-accurate. People have been requesting improvements to the sculpt for almost 5 years and all they got were repaints. When Hiya is not only able to deliver a much better sculpt for a considerably cheaper price, but they actually listened to feedback and were quick to make noticeable improvements in their updated figures, it makes SHMA look lazy by comparison.

    and Steven is at the other end, mainly like a critical reviewer who looks into all the little details, but gives the analysis on a larger scale, not sometimes considering why a customer would, or wouldn't buy a specific unit!

    I’ve never been a big fan of Steven, he’s extremely arrogant and overly defensive about any disagreement with him. So defensive to the point where I’m 90% sure he just makes things up sometimes. You could say something like “the moon is full tonight” and he will come back at you with “well actually I’m an astronaut, and have been for 20 years, while I’ve also read every book about the moon, and was best friends with Neil Armstrong, so no the moon is not full tonight, you know nothing about the moon” it’s truly wild! I’ve stopped watching his stuff because of his “I’m always correct and I’ve never been wrong or had an L take ever” attitude.
    There’s wanting SHMA to be better, and then there’s just being a whiny little baby. If you don’t like the figures, then don’t buy them! It really is that simple! For me Steven’s channel has become watching a grown man whine and cry because his toy he didn’t need to buy (and probably won’t keep anyway) has the most minute of imperfections. Just buy what you like!

    If I’m being honest, I think these releases were fine from the start. They did make these for people who missed out on the first releases from Gvk, and I’m happy about that because although the Gvk Kong is still like $68, Godzilla… yeah he’s kinda overpriced now. And I’m happy the Godzilla is a least an improvement with great tail articulation and more accessories (despite the breath being reused) than the first release although it’s a bit more money. Kong is barely anything, but I don’t think people are gonna pick that up. I’ve enjoyed sh monsterarts releases for a long time, and I’m a mad how much hiya has overshadowed them. I feel people only care about hiya because they’re more accurate and cheaper (for the monsterverse), but even though the hiyas probably better, I still enjoy stuff like these from sh monsterarts.

    So after 4 days of this videos release I thought I’d make a comment
    It seems that Steven doesn’t take accountability for some of his actions and that he seems to be rude to other figure channels based off what they say about him (this isn’t true most likely but that’s what I got from it)
    And Steven in the comments is kinda acting petty and childish to this whole video even though you’re more giving constructive criticism then attacking him

    This is a great figure.. but it took Bandai 3 years to give us it. They did not need to release this version when they should have been focused on making an evolved version of Godzilla and Kong. Instead, they played us giving us an old figure with new paint. They stopped including accessories for Godzilla figures that cost 100+ dollars, their paint applications the past few years have been disgusting, teeth and heads sculpts look like crap, and parts falling apart.They either simply stopped caring for this line or they knew that no matter what they put out, butt kissers would defend them to the end still. It shouldn't have taken them 3 years to give us a proper Legendary Godzilla with blue dorsal plates and a freaking beam effect at a reasonable price. Only just recently they've started to put some effort. The only reason why this new repaint has so much hype is because this is what we all originally wanted. Collectors fell for Bandai's thirst trap ways. Yes I'm going to sell my 2021 version and buy this 2024 version to replace it. But that's all it is, is a replacement and nothing more.

    I was with you on a lot of points, especially when it came to things like non-US distribution prices (which is a legitimate good point), but when you say there's no issue with a company making a bad product if people are "buying it in droves", I completely disagree. You ask where is the problem, and we are literally seeing it with this release: cash grab re-releases that are no where near as good as they could be, AND 25% more expensive than the prior iteration. Most companies will continue to cut corners and make things worse until it affects them financially, if consumers continue to give and give on standards, it continues to get worse. It's obviously impossible to make a call to action so that no one buys these, but it's a frustrating feeling
    It's not a "savior mentality", you are objectively wrong to say that these figures are quality. And by quality, I'm strictly referring to the bar set by a multitude of other releases in the SHMA line. Gigan, 1954 re-issue, Blue eyes, Gamera, Shin night version, Final wars, these are all objectively of higher quality than these MV releases. This compounded with the fact that they've been re-released and re-issued so many times, there's no excuse for it. These GxK figures are, unarguably, of much lower quality than other current SHMA, and there is absolutely no reason they should MSRP for 25% more for the exact same sculpt.
    If knowing all that doesn't prevent someone from buying it, then that's their choice, but you almost make it seem like Steven, a reviewer, should draw the line at paint and sculpt and can't talk about the external elements of these figures. That's a really weird line to draw

    • @kaijucanuck4492
      @kaijucanuck4492  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      1. I didn't say the figures were of quality, I said that they are not of sufficient quality to the people who dislike them while being totally fine to the target market buying them.
      2. It's only a savior complex if you think the Japanese need to be saved from themselves. If you don't think this, I'm not talking about you.

    • @centaurmin
      @centaurmin 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kaijucanuck4492 Putting a racial aspect on this is weird? It's not a Japanese thing, it's a global consumer thing that applies to everyone. You (not you specifically, i mean in general) should not be recommending people buy a figure that is 25% more expensive than it's last version, that has been re-issued multiple times, with glaring problems. If someone asked me where to start on MV collecting, Hiya is the no brain answer. You're paying significantly less for better with Hiya, and we've seen hiya going in and adjusting sculpt/articulation and re-releasing for no additional cost. SHMA has absolutely dropped the ball on the Monsterverse. These *should* be avoided unless you feel like you *have* to have them

    • @kaijucanuck4492
      @kaijucanuck4492  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The racial aspect is only because Japan is the primary market, they buy these things up like crazy. I've seen folks (not you) talk about how they don't realize they're being hosed, despite the fact that the Japanese market just really likes these things and don't feel like they're being cheated generally speaking.
      I'm with you on Monsterverse releases with HIYA, and I'm very curious what will come of their classics line!

    • @centaurmin
      @centaurmin 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kaijucanuck4492 Well I do actually think the Japanese might be getting screwed over, but not because of a cultural thing or something like that. I've noticed a lot of SHMA 'alternative' figures are exempt from shipping to Japan, presumably some part of the license agreement, and that they end up being much more expensive to get over there. From that perspective, I can understand the drive for SHMA, it's easier to get and the price disparity doesn't exist. But if you're in the situation to choose, which I think Steven is assuming (and that's fair to say isn't true for everyone obviously), I think a lot more of his argument makes sense

    I enjoy watching various reviewers and their takes on the toys. Especially when they can run $75- $150. Everyone has their own opinion as it should be. And if you can afford to buy everything on the market that is great. But most of us can’t. And if you already have a version of the figure and aren’t a collector that has to have a new version only because they changed the Hue of an eye color then Steven is right on saying then pass on it And I think that that is the audience that he is addressing. Older collectors vs new ones.
    And while you start out with valid points on why people should pick up the latest release you then …. well you start using the tactic that the other reviewer is a bad person and belittling others. And isn’t that just awful.
    So why the personal attack? To get clicks or promote SHM?

    "I don't enjoy conflict, I don't like confrontation" he says while whipping this off before leaving for his MMA training. Anyway, "I don't like this thing and you're a bad person for ensuring that things I don't like exist!" is a wild way to conduct a toy review. If bro resents having to buy SHMA figures to review, that HIS problem. Don't be so audience captured.
    Solzhenitsyn once said something to the effect that as our material prosperity grows, our divisions have become ever more intractable. We have never had more, nor been more miserable and divided. My pet theory is that when everything is good, there is nothing to say about it. It meets all our expectations and speaks for its own perfection. But the imperfect falls short, and that gap between what it is and what we desire it to be is the space that is filled with bitching and whining about it. And when we have more and more and more that is good, our complaints must get pettier and pettier and pettier. Old soldiers can commiserate, but toy reviewers are enemies forever.
