Thanks for the shout out Kyle! Glad we were able to make the cut with all of the other great equipment in there. Our plates are all about saving space in the gym. Can't wait to see more content of the new setup!
I’m really looking forward to your leg extension video haha. I think a multi weight horned attachment would be huge for the home gym community as a whole. Ton of plate loaded equipment and jammer arms could have more consistent resistance curves.
Excellent use of the small space, you crammed a lot in there. As someone with an apartment gym, we love to see that good wall storage. Here's hoping the expansion plan goes smoothly!
3:32 you should try for the the upright rows if you haven’t already. Go to your cable attachment. Lie flat on your back with any multi grip bar attachment at your feet. Then do the upright row while laying down on your back so it isolates the traps. Been a killer one for me lately. Nice video thanks for sharing
@ Yeah I gotcha. I still think PrX should have gave you 1%-5% royalty for halo arms bc they borderline stole idea and patented IP so other company can’t R&D easily without fearing legal action from PrX
As someone who downsized to 144 sq feet - I'd suggest to others to keep it basic. When you try to add everything onto walls etc., it gets difficult to load plates, etc... I ended up getting rid of most of my gear and going to just a rep athena/lat pulldown and kettlebells and powerblocks.... it's great for the easy/pump/metabolic workouts... but I use a regular gym for the heavy days...
Just want to say that you’re a corner stone for the home gym community. Love how yours utilising the small space, I often think about what would make the cut if I had to downsize. You could probably sell some of those bumpers. The ATX belt squat might be a one trick pony, but it’s the smallest belt squat machine you can buy.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I already sold quite a few of my bumpers and iron plates but I am reluctant to get rid of more because I know I'll be expanding eventually. I do really love the ATX belt squat.
Heck yea bro. Watched the whole thing! I too have a special appreciation for F and F steel and Porter Physed. I love that they are constantly innovating. Can you go into the wall mounted setup a little more? I need to eventually remount my Bells of Steel towers.
You could always put a spotter arm on the bottom of your dialed motion upright and do belt squats there. Throw a pulley on the spotter. Good use of space, man.
Short bars should be talked about more. I have half a bedroom to train in, so I don't own a single bar 7 feet or longer and I doubt I will anytime soon.
Just came across your channel when researching the BoS cable tower. Love your creations, enthusiasm and energy! Liked and subscribed...looking forward to more amazing content!
Great gym tour, Kyle! I really enjoy all your videos and admire your innovative builds and hacks! Great stuff. You are reaping the benefits of all your time in the gym. Lean and muscular! 👍👍
I wanted to mention the Little/Big Buddy heaters as well. The forced air heaters are very effective at bringing the temp up quick but crack a window and make sure you have a CO detector as they can/will create carbon monoxide. The Buddy line of propane heaters are meant for indoor use and have an Oxygen deprivation sensor as well. Stay safe!
Looks good man. Such big transformations over the years. I remember when you had the red ethos rack. I still have mine! Have you ever tbought about ditching 35lb plates? I have limited space and so I made the decision to no longer use 35lb plates.
Thank you! At one point, I did only have 45, 25, and 10 pound bumpers, but over the last year several sets of 35s have snuck in. Getting rid of them again would save some space.
Love the tour! Wondering how you hung your larger rack attachments (e.g. dip bar) to the wall? Working on upgtading my home gym and trying to find an effective (clever?) way to store these larger pieces.
Great gym. Thank you for the ATX belt squat update lol. I'm still waiting for them to come to the US. Hopefully it is soon, they have a lot of interesting machines.
Awesome gym! Would like to see you come up with a DIY solution for leg extensions and leg curls. Maybe like a DIY versiok of Bells of Steel's bench attachment
@ So I grabbed one, definitely works even with a window open and garage door cracked. Jumped to 65° in a few minutes.. but it definitely puts off an odor. Does yours? Everything online is saying check the connections for leaks but I don’t think there is a leak.
awesome use of space! i am going to start house shopping in the next few weeks and plan on getting a home with a garage for the home gym. Been doing my research for almost half of the year and I also will get the BOS selectorized cable tower and PRX foldable rack for space saving. My question is and I know you are biased with the Fringe belt squat but how do you like it compared to the ATX? I know a dedicated machine would always better then a rack attachment but is the fringe good enough? I assume I will prob have a a 1 car garage so trying to be choosy with my space. I did plan to get the titan squatmax as its supposed to be the most superior but the Fringe mammoth could free up that space as well. Maybe get a selectorized leg extension/leg curl machine to use in that space and not get the freak athlete.
Man, that's tough. They're all great choices. The Squatmax is big but very multifunctional. The ATX is super smooth and comfortable, but doesn't do much more than just belt squat. The Mammoth is definitely the most space efficient. My advice would be to plan it out once you know the size of you future gym.
@@KaizenDIYGym That is an outdoor heater and can easily kill you in an enclosed space such as a garage. I hope it is well ventilated, AND most importantly have at least one CO sensor, but a couple a few sensors in different areas would be best, even if the space is well ventilated. Don't take the risk. There are gas heaters that are designed for indoor space (Little Buddy heater I think is one).
Totally understandable for you to feel frustrated about that. They didn't actually get a patent on my work or anyone else's. We worked it out. They apologized. We're all good now. You don't have to be okay with forgiving and moving forward, but that's how I've chosen to proceed.
Thank you! I know it’s hard to tell from the video, but I am in a much better mental space than I was 3 years ago, and I’m healthier than I’ve been in years.
@@KaizenDIYGym can’t ask for more than that then…to be fair I shouldn’t have came out the gate like that from the jump. My apologies 🙏…keep the grind up my man 🚀
Is there anything you'd like to see a deep dive on? Let me know!
I can testify firsthand that Kyle absolutely knows belt squats, innovating one wasnt enough, we loaded SEVERAL of them into his truck at HGC 2024 lol
That's right bro!

Thanks, it has been a journey to get it to this point but I love how it turned out. I am already ready to expand though.

That’s sounds like fun, I’ll give it a try!
That tricep bar is awesome. I added a shelf and used brackets that hold a closet rod to hang access on and add extra storage space.
Nice, I love a good DIY storage solution!
So PrX gave you a bunch of gear for the controversy?
We've got quite a few projects in the works. It helps to have their equipment if I'm going to design for it, ya know.
Picked up on that too lol becoming an arm of the PRX marketing team
@ Yeah I gotcha. I still think PrX should have gave you 1%-5% royalty for halo arms bc they borderline stole idea and patented IP so other company can’t R&D easily without fearing legal action from PrX
If the design was on youtube and THEN someone else patented it, the patent can be reversed after an appeal.
congrats on the new space! and hope it doesn't get too cold this winter 🥶
It’ll be cold for sure but I have a decent solution for now.
I find the Preacher Pad is one of my most used items as well, like the best $100 I ever spent on fitness equipment
Heck yeah!
I love this dude. No matter how crazy I get with buying home gym equipment, I can always tell my wife "well at least I'm not that guy" lol.

I have my eye on that ATX belt squat, keen to hear your review!

Different strokes for different folks. I don't have a difficult time loading plates but if you did, I can understand wanting to keep it simple.
Love the new setup - so clean and efficient in the new space. Would love to see a how-to on that wooden wall behind your rack!

I hope so too! I love their stuff!
Very organized! What pins are you using for the wall control? Are they secure? Thx.
I bought a variety pack from Wall Control. The bigger ones are pretty secure, the smaller ones tend to fall out when removing an accessory

Yep!
Heck yeah Coach!
dang man im saving for a cable machine thats around 800 or under probably plate loaded you got any suggestions?
I also have my woodworking stuff next to my gym… any tips on keeping the gym dust free?? 😂
Nope. Dust is just a part of life when you're lifting next to where you're woodworking.
Are those types of heaters safe for inside the gym? Do you need doors/windows cracked to vent? If not I’m about to go grab one 😂
Yes. You should always keep a door cracked them using a propane heater. Mine keeps the temperature pretty high even with the garage door cracked.
@ So I grabbed one, definitely works even with a window open and garage door cracked. Jumped to 65° in a few minutes.. but it definitely puts off an odor. Does yours? Everything online is saying check the connections for leaks but I don’t think there is a leak.
